  1. A bit left field but give Kirkcaldy Golf Club a call. They used to take away buses pre covid. Child friendly, get food, loads of parking and 10 mins walk to the ground.
  2. Ask the club. They did this "inspire" project where the outputs were heavily weighted towards honesty, openness, transparancy and engaging with fans and the community. Write to them see if they reply in an open honest and transparent manner.
  3. Nope, the club are basically lying. Therecwas nonpwer failure hencs why the floodlights worked. Starks Park HAD POWER. The equipment distributing that power to other systems failed. Power was getting in. The equipment allowing us to use the available supply failed. If you blow a fuse on the kettle that's not a power failure.
  4. Because it was not deemed unsafe until 15 minutes into the match. Up until then it was considered safe.
  5. If the game was on,the fans inside were not being told to leave then the stadium was deemed safe. Simple. If the stadium had been deemed safe, which it was, then fans should have been let in. When the decision was taken that thecstafium was unsafe, the match was stopped, then no fans should have entered. I
  6. Right here, how can I help you. Seems a very strange statement from the club. We knew at the time there was no power cut. We knew there was power. The criticism is 1) why couldnt the club get the other systems back on? 2) why did no-one communicate with the fans in the street. 3) why was no-one able to manually check tickets and let fans in while the stadium was deemed safe?
  7. Yep,no-one knows what went on except the club confirm today that EXACTLY as I said it was NOT a power cut. Hey what do I know eh?
  8. It was not a power failure, ut was not a power cut. It was an equipment failure or an installation error. This is a brand new system that cost our landlord £250,000.
  9. A complete and utter failure of resilience planning. How on earth thisxeasnt on a risk register is beyond me. When I was a doorman we had aback up plan for the radios and tills going down.
  10. The club PR is a joke. We have everything in place to make it good. Decent media facilities, good highlights, decent results last season, good league campaign, new people hired and the advertising and marketing g is a complete dogs dinner.
  11. The Pars have it pretty sorted. Their match day support is excellent and they make a big effort. Even as a Raith fan I can admire what they do.
  12. I did, I met them and would have ll of the e-mails backing up my description of events had I not changed jobs.
  13. I will tell you first hand why the club thought it was being abused. I DID meet with Bill Clarke and the Fans Director in the Board Room in Starks Park at this time. It was about 3 years ago. The club decided that only those with the Highest rate mobility were to get a free carer ticket. So basically Wheelchair users, the blind and deaf. You know "real disabilities" My son is an athlete, swimmer and runner, he is also AUTISTIC and needs a carer in social situations to keep him safe. The DWP, Social work, Court and a list of medical professionals the length of my arm agree he needs care. Bill Clarke is a dinosaur who sat opposite me and tried to tell me despite employing a team of 4 carers and having Court issued guardianship order (on the table) allowing me to control all of his health care and financial decisions that because my son could walk unaided he shouldn't get a free carer to assist him in attending matches. The system was NEVER being abused. Our Directors were of the opinion that it was because they were ignorant of what difficulties come with hidden disabilities. The decision to remove concessions this year was 100% borne out of greed. Maybe just a coincidence that Bill Clarke returned to the club in the close season before this decision was taken. Yep sure it’s a coincidence. As I have said before DAFC treat their fans with respect, pair them up with buddies and cater for them, we treat ours with contempt and suspicion.
  14. Well done. This us how it should be. However it does yet again make the club look pretty stupid. Still advertising that disabled under 12s dont get a free carer which obviously isn't the case. The admin at the club this year is an utter shambles.
  15. Anyway it was just a wee heads up for the Pars fans. Their club pretty much lead the way in caring for their disabled fans. If they expect the same treatment at Starks Park they wont get it.
  16. Exactly my position. I employ a team of carers for my son. Not all of them like football. When I take him it's a bit of a bonus for me. A bonus I used to make up by contributing a greater amount on voluntary donations.
  17. Never heard of the Disability discounts being abused previously. Do you have a source for this? When I spoke to the club they never said that this was a factor. As for getting a free carer. This is not a benefit, it's a necessity to allow the disabled person to attend safely.
  18. I tried but couldn't get an answer or direct contact at either. Will try again though.
  19. I wonder how many times that phrase could be used to describe what happening this year. The communications and engagement from the club are utter bollocks
  20. Carers still go free. But you cant buy these tickets online either becausectge club haven't bothered taking into account disabled fans on the ticketing site either.
  21. It's the Board being greedy this year but they have a history of having bad attitude to disabled fans. Removed the 50% discount this year after about 20 years. A few years back they tried to do away with the Free Carers provision. Dunfermline go out of their way for disabled fans. We treatboyrs with contempt. http://chng.it/ghpHSxqkXD
  22. A wee reminder for any disabled Dunfermline fans wanting tickets. Raith have removed all concessions for disabled fans. So you will have to pay FULL PRICE to attend Starks Park. A different universe from the way disabled fans are treated at East End.
  23. If he was shoving in the wall then surely he has not stayed the mandatory distance from said wall. Yiu are not allowed to be in the wall as an attacker any longer.
