Said to myself I wasn't going to bother this year and yet here I am downloading the game for the trial. Going to use first owners only this year to try and make it a bit more interesting. The few SBCs and welcome back packs have left me with this team. My manager has a lovely hat too.

Gave this a go based off your post and it's brilliant. Was missing a comedy style football podcast since Athletico Mince has slowed down a bit. Henning Wehn and Craig Cash episodes in particular had me in bits. Will need to give their other podcasts a go one I'm caught up with this one.

Gotten back into play this for the first time in ten years and having a rare time. I've been playing this on xbox as its free on the gamepass, thinking about switching over to the full version. Anyone got experience playing on both? Is there any difference in the match engine? Scared to start again on pc as I have found a tactic that is working for me on the xbox version! Might just stick with my current save on xbox for the rest of the year if there is going to be another massive learning curve.

My last post in this thread was February 6th and I don't think I've even switched fifa on since then. I was getting to the point where the gameplay was a chore and finding quite stressful. Its supposed to be fun, FFS. Been playing football manager since then and having a great time. Can't see me ever coming back to playing regularly this year.

Any luck before 6? Last year I gutted my whole club doing the upgrades but I never bothered this year! Not playing champs this weekend. Still had to finish the squad battles stuff for the swaps tokens. Finished last night and got mid Nedved. Meh. I'm just going to save up for a TOTY Messi now.

Packed another TOTY from the premier league sbc tonight. Four packed this year for me. I've not really touched the upgrade sbcs bar recycling duplicates. Its definitely easier to pack them this year!

Packed an icon from marquee matches tonight and have managed to go 10/2 in champs in an hour and a half. Got given 4 wins and three or four quit when I scored first!

Here's my team now. Although my club is still full of rare golds and common golds after opening so many packs so will probably kick the arse out of upgrades for the next week. Managed to complete Varane just with stuff from my club after opening all my packs.

I got three tonight. Cancelo and Lewandowski tradable so punted them on. Donnarumma untradable that goes straight in the team. Got no ideacwhat to spend the coins on!

I'm still plugging away. Playing champs every second week and not bothering with rivals some weeks to pick up objectives players which is keeping it fresh for me. Gameplay wise, I'm doing really well. Went 14/4 this weekend in champs with a full untradable squad. 150 odd packs saved for TOTY and 1.1 million in the bank to build a super team after!

I think I've been play fifa wrong all these years. I thought you could only trigger a run with lb/L1 when you were passing the ball. I never realised I could just press it at any time! I just need to learn how to use it properly now. Mind blowing stuff

I've patched weekend league and just fannying about doing sbcs and playing for the milestone players this weekend and had a rare time. Think it was the repetitiveness of doing rivals then champs qualifiers then champs finals which was boring me. One weekend of fannying about with objectives and the game is suddenly fun again!

The market is so fucked. Messi was going for about 360k last night. He was about 700k about two weeks ago! Played a few games of rivals last night and the gameplay is an absolute mess and servers are shocking. You can tell by how quiet this thread is that they've fucked it this year.

The matchmaking last night was horrendous. Was taking ten mins to find games! Ended up 12/4 but chucked the last 4 games to take rank 2. Losing interest in playing this game earlier than ever.

Not touching the icon pack either after getting milito in the heroes one. I'll wait for the next one once I've built up more fodder. What's the script with the new season? Do we stay in the same division or are we getting punted back down? Not kept up with how it works this year!

Got my two wins given to me last night. Saved any hassle I suppose! Got red marquinhos so rejigged the squad to fit him in.

10/5 in WL so far for me. Should hopefully get on tomorrow night for the last two wins. Sat and played ten games tonight back to back and actually had fun. Fifa has been a chore these past few years but enjoying it this year. Hopefully the next patch gets rid of the speed up lag at the start of the second half as it cost me three goals tonight.

Changed to a 4312 and loving it. Went 5/0 in playoffs and have one 9 out of 10 in rivals and up to division 2. Dembele is a brilliant card at the start of every fifa.

Got oblak from the prime gaming pack who for some reason I forgot existed when buying a la liga goalkeeper. Stuck him in my team now and punted ter stegen.

Only managed two games in champs so far. 2/0. Will try and pop on to get a few tonight but even the rewards for 4 wins are half decent. Probs will just leave it there and give away the remaining 16 odd wins!

Qualified for weekend league without losing a game tonight. Not managed to get on all week so no rivals rewards for me tomorrow! Away on holiday on Sunday so I'll hopefully get to 8 wins by Saturday and give the rest of my wins away.

You'll be fine. If you were getting to gold 2 then you should be pushing for ranks 2 nae bother. Rank 3 rewards are still good too so even if you don't manage it's still better than last year. Aye, you need the 1500 each week for the playoffs. But between champs finals and getting 7 wins in rivals for the better rewards 1500 points is no bother too. Just getting there the first time is a pain when you're going up the divisions.

Managed to finish my games tonight. 12/6. Reckon I should be getting rank 2 all year and no chance I'll be getting rank 1. Laporte in my 100k pack and raphina in the totw pack which was decent. High rated red picks too.

8/2 in weekend league. Won my last game 4-2 and he had a proper god squad. Mbappe, neymar and ginola up top. Gameplay has been much better for me this weekend. Would go as far as to say it was good tonight. Last weekend was an absolute riot in comparison.
