  1. They weren't very ambitious when they took the lead but at 0-0 and 1-1, Thistle looked pretty dangerous going forward. I don't think they came for a draw but they were probably happy enough with the result.
  2. Moffat was worse, I thought. Chalmers would probably do OK alongside Hamilton and Otoo, but you're always going to play Todd if he's fit. I think he's probably a slightly better option than Allan, but it is one or the other.
  3. Yep. Grown adults waiting excitedly when Chalmers gets the ball, coiled and ready to lose their sh1t when he gives it away. He does that quite regularly to be fair, but that's because he is always available to receive the ball and is a midfielder in the Scottish Championship. He also passes it to a Pars player most of the time, but that's ignored. Moffat comes on, barely does a thing right - nobody moans. Not that I'm angling for people to get on his back, I hasten to add.
  4. Trouten was the top scorer in matches at EEP in the 2018/19 season.
  5. Westport Bar apparently has TNT Sport if you're looking for the Newcastle match.
  6. I thought I should convey myself in a way that my audience would understand.
  7. Point is, we wouldn't be gauging ourselves against the points tally of Raith Rovers - unless we were both battling for the same goal.
  8. I reckon he could play right side of a back three. He looks similar standard to Comrie.
  9. If the league positions were reversed, we wouldn't have a clue how many points we were ahead of the Rovers - nor would we really care. We'd only be looking at the club we were competing with for the title.
  10. Aye, I've always hated Airdrie. Then you have last year - good games between the sides, with the 4-3 win probably a sliding doors moment in our season. Mostly though, they seemed to revel in riling up the Falkirk fans and then handed it to them in the play-offs. The goal alerts during the first half of the first leg was one of the highlights of the season - given that we had wrapped it up weeks before.
  11. Anyone who has watched the team with Kane in it, and doesn't want him to sign permanently, should have their season ticket taken off them - and then banned from trying to buy another one.
  12. It's the Championship, so no point trying to make sense of anything. Imagine asking a range of Morton fans what they thought of the Pars side this season. You'd get a fairly wide range of opinions depending on which game/combination of games they'd seen.
  13. Benedictus has just turned 32. I think he's seen as older given that he made his debut at 16.
  14. On that note, I'm surprised we've not seen more of Miller Fenton, who is now 20. I guess it might be that he can only play left back/LWB and Edwards has been fit all season. Looked OK when he came on at QP though, so would have thought he might have been tried as a left centre back.
  15. So you agree he's not fallen off a cliff for a prolonged period? He's 19 and has been part of a struggling side in the last 3 games he played. Before that, he looked like a player. Also, our last couple of Old Firm loanees have done well.
  16. I should add, he's only 19 and this is his first season in a first team, so he's unlikely to be ultra-consistent and can't be expected to stand out when the team is getting pummeled.
  17. Summers did well against Rovers on 2nd January. He shouldn't have played against QP on the Friday after as he couldn't move - still scored a better though. We then had 3 weeks off and then he played 89 minutes at Tannadice. So, he's not hit the heights of the Morton game in September and he's had injury trouble but he's not fallen off a cliff form-wise for a prolonged period.
  18. Depending on fitness, I'd have MWH in ahead of Benjamin, Jakubiak in for McCann and Moffat in for Holmes. I also prefer Summers to Allan. There is an argument for McCann keeping his place and bringing Jakubiak on as in impact sub.
  19. I would be happy to take Summers for another year. I think he would do well in a functioning Championship side - which we could be providing he and the majority of the squad stay fit.
  20. He was outstanding in his last game against Morton at EEP. Unfortunately, he got injured straight afterwards.
  21. I've seen plenty of centre backs over the last 40 years at EEP whose output could have been labeled as "outside of football".
  22. FGS bets are void if the player is on the bench when the first goal goes in. As such, 6/1 on Taylor Sutherland isn't a terrible shout.
