  1. Bump's dropped again. Now waddling like a penguin. 37+4 today.
  2. I don't like rice pudding, but when the wee one was little I made it a couple of times in the slow cooker and it worked well.....but he didn't like it either! Think I'll do a pot roast at the weekend as I have a bit of topside in freezer.
  3. 36+6 today.....where I was with when I went with Ruairidh.....dropped my sister off at the airport got home and waters went......I'm dropping my Dad there this evening....
  4. What because you read one post here and on facebook. I do apologise, find the ignore button and use it.
  5. He's a lovely dog, when he came into the ring I said to my husband, that dog will win it. Should have put a fiver on it!
  6. The 26th is the worst day I could go, my cousin who is babysitter on call is working in Perth, my inlaws who would also babysitter off for a day trip to Oban, my mum working on Jura and my Dad working on Skye!
  7. Baby is now measuring about 5lb 14oz and is a touch above the 10th percentile so the doctors are happier with that. Head is also one fifth engaged. Dr made me appointment for 4th April but said he doesn't expect me to need it. If the weight is accurate then she's currently 7oz bigger than Ruairidh was at birth at 37 wks gestation.
  8. I will when I actually need to use them, I emailed the trainer we used to see if she could recommend any but wouldn't but offered that price. It's for when I go to my folks as house isn't big enough for 4 adults, 2 kids and my two dogs plus their one too. I may just use the one they use up there but if I can find a decent one down here would save having to drive them north.
  9. I've just been quoted £15 per day per dog for my two but that was someone who would look after them at her home. Trying to find a recommendation for a good kennel.
  10. Nip down to the sport centre and explain whats going on and they will let you have a shower there.
  11. Couldn't sleep, was uncomfortable.....no I'm not in labour!
  12. No their not after 37 weeks. My waters went at 36+6 and had I had him that day he would have been classed as prem. Only problem was they didn't alter his wee red book to reflect that he was born at 37 weeks so I had a bit of a battle with the midwives regarding weight as they were plotting him from EDD but the HV staff nurse came out, took the page out and plotted him from 37 weeks gestation, which helped a little but he was still a little thing. I had a growth scan week past Monday and this one is estimated in 10th percentile so they're scanning me again on Monday as it's a little small but if she was born next Thursday at same stage as her brother she'd probably weight about the same as he did. I was scanned and checked at 36 weeks as I thought I was in labour with my son and they told me that I had a huge baby, 6 days later I gave birth to a small baby so it's not all that acurate!
  13. My sisters friends have 4 girls and they also swear by getting them all down sharp and being organised. She says going from 1 to 2 was the hardest and the next 2 just slotted in. My first was born at 37 weeks, he was little but other than that was fine!
  14. Re reading it, yes it does sound like I want to slow cook the baby! opps! I know there are loads online recipies but I like a book!
  15. Congratulations! You'll have a house full....one more for a 5's team!
  16. Coughing and laughing are not a good idea at the moment.....I had a chest infection for the last couple of weeks
  17. The way I'm walking at the moment, my guess is that this baby hasn't left it until the last minute!
  18. Ruairidh's head was engaged when I was checked at 36 weeks and I went at 36wks and 6 but was told that esp with the first the head being engaged didn't meant I would go early....! I'm 36 weeks today so I'm on any day now mode......I'll prob go to 42 weeks this time!!
  19. Has anyone got a good Slow Cooker Recip book? I want to get one so that I can try new things esp once the baby is here. TIA
  20. How many weeks are you? I think the head (I'm sure Ayrgirl will correct me if I'm wrong!) can engage as early as 34 weeks.
  21. Make proper scottish pnacakes, none of this crepe crap!
  22. Excellent! I'm a week away today from where I was when I went into labour with Ruairidh, we're pretty much organised and have the babysitters lined up for Ruairidh!
  23. It's tragic when a young person's life is taken, I lost my best friend the week before she was 18 in a car accident, she had been accepted to the Navy and they were going to sponsor her through a Naval Engineering degree. Such a waste of a talented young woman. My wee one will most likely be called for her.
