  1. I would just like to say, I don't agree with what this lunatic has to say.
  2. Actually, they bulldozed and carted away their homes and businesses so that not a trace remained behind for the Palestinians to actually use. They left behind absolute economic devastation. So lets not try and put too much of a spin on it eh? And when you leave behind misery and devastation, who do you think people will support? Oh, and while withdrawing from there, they stepped up their actions in the west bank significantly.
  3. If you starve Hamas of support, then they lose their power. If you do what Israel do, then Hamas will continue to grow. It really is that simple. The way to stop this is by making individual people happy and content, give them something to lose, and watch support for extremism fall away. Israel though, freely admit to starving people, and they seem to be taking actions to stop education. If people can't go to school, then they won't get an education. If they don't get an education, then they are more inclined to fall for extremism. The solution is always to tackle the root of the issue. If the ordinary people are educated and relatively content, then they are less inclined to support lunatic fringes. This isn't a radical statement, its a proven fact. One which Israel seems hell bent on ignoring.
  4. This one: http://www.haaretz.com/weekend/week-s-end/does-scotland-manage-to-be-anti-israel-without-being-anti-semitic.premium-1.473977 The main crux of the article seems to be that there is very, very little anti-semitism, but that a lot of people dislike actions of Israel the state, rather than because they are Jewish, and so for some, the line is blurred.
  5. No. As you well know, I've always been in favour of a two state solution, and I stay away from Jew Bashing. But as you know, there is a difference between what people say from the fringes, and what people say when they are in a position of responsibility, as shown by pretty much any government ever. Just look at how the position of Fatah shifted over time. If Hamas had been given a few years in power, then they would have lost support or watered themselves down. Instead, Israel helped to grow their support and make them more extreme. Idiocy.
  6. Btw, Palestine had peaceful democratic elections. In response to those peaceful democratic elections, the Israelis "put the palestinians on a diet" (to quote the Israeli government) as a punishment for them peacefully and democratically voting for the wrong people. How did that work for Israel?
  7. If you're talking about Reynard, this is a man who has previously praised Mossad's actions to the heavens and encouraged them. See this thread for details. Or are you going to claim that he is "neutral" now? Btw, people always turn to more extreme organisations in times of suffering. Logically, if Israel wanted Hamas stopped, they'd starve them of support by improving conditions, showing that they're not all bad, and providing some secret funding to help moderate parties rise. Oh, and perhaps stop with the settlements. But all they are doing is increasing support for Hamas all the time. That is all this weeks "back to the middle ages" (no condemnation on this thread I see from the usual suspects) actions are going to do is increase support for Hamas and other extreme movements. It is short sighted idiocy.
  8. Actually, why Is it that all the Lunatic Zionist fans on here are both Unionists and right wingers? Its a weird Sort of Overlap...
  9. I never mentioned any names, I have no recollection of any of your other posts, so I can't recall your stance on this issue.
  10. Right, so the analogy falls down. This guy is head of an important branch of Israeli government. I can't believe people are trying to wriggle out of this! I expected the cheerleaders to explain why Palestine deserved it, not that we shouldn't listen to a senior government minister when it comes to government policy.
  11. And it the leader of the UDA Was a senior member of the government, with a lot of responsibility, then his words would be taken as being representative of the government he was a minister of!
  12. http://www.digitaljo.../article/ 337132 So in addition to starving them, sorry "putting them on a diet" for having the temerity to vote democratically for the wrong party, they are now proposing to flatten Gaza. This all seems reasonable and proportionate. I'm sure the cheerleaders on here will be able to explain to me just why this is reasonable.
  13. Today's paper, Israel have announced they are going to blow Gaza "Back to the middle ages". Presumably this is proportional and reasonable?
  14. Insults? All I've done is comment on fact. I've pointed out insult after insult, with some highly personal comments made. None from me, all from him. And like the way he tries to pin the "not answering questions" label on me falsely, how dare you try and claim that I am the one using insults. He lies, he's even said it with pride that he lies, and he hides. He also accused me of not answering questions, when I have demonstrated conclusively that I answer questions, and that is the relevance of other topics. He's hiding and he's lying, and then he has the gall to turn around and accuse me of the very same thing he has done on so, so many threads. Just look at Reynard's posts too. "The Future of Palestine"? How can something that "never existed" be discussed? Surely then it supports the point that in order to discuss the future of something, it has to exist no? Furthermore, is wikipedia wrong? Was yon dude (I forget his name) never the governor of Palestine? Edited to add, since when were you Reynard's wee apologetic stooge anyway? Plenty to say about my "insults", but nothing to say about the personal abuse he dishes out?
  15. So is that a "no" to answering questions? A yes to continued lies then hiding?
  16. No, I Mean insults. for that is What you have resorted to. I suppose the EU threads, the Climate thread, and the politics threads have too many awkward questions for you to hang around, so I can see Why you hang around here to dish out your insults. What next? Are you going to propose mass deportation to Jordan as a solution?
  17. Does this start a new phase? Will you stop running away from questions on all issues now? Oh, and how can you accuse me of both not answering you AND Of being determined to answer you? How does that work?
  18. Well not really. Once again, I've kept it business in response to his highly personal attacks. We're getting near a full page of purely insult posts from Reynard. That to me suggests a good deal of rufflement. Oh and | answered his questions directly, just like I did on the BBC and every other issue. Disappointingly, he is unable to answer simple questions on a variety of issues. 1 expect he'll hide from this issue too When he's finished Asking ridicUlous "questions".
  19. so, history lesson? Or is the word of Syrians to be taken as gospel? I assume they have never lied? And so what if the leader Of Palestine was Jewish? What does that have to do with anything?
  20. from the BBC: Twenty-eight Palestinians and three Israelis have died since Israel killed Hamas's military chief on Wednesday. Israel says it has since targeted some 600 "terror sites" in Gaza. Is it just me or do those numbers seem a bit disproportionate?
  21. I don't think its anti-semitism. I'm not inclined to agree entirely with the sentiment, as I believe Israel has a right to exist, just like Palestine does, but I don't think VT can be accused of any anti-semitism.
  22. Its going well isn't it? Things have really calmed down over the last few years. Tough for the people of Gaza? You don't fucking say.
  23. The bit in bold contradicts the first bit of your post. So what is your solution?
