As I spent all my pennies going Romania last month, and I'm planning stuff for both my parents 50th birthdays next month, this basically means that I can barely afford to leave the house this month.

You can imagine the surprise and horror on people's face when they find out (retrospectively I assume) that these tattoos are "permanent"! If people want a tattoo, then its up to them. The issue of how it will look when they are old is really their problem, and not anybody elses.

So? Why is that your problem? Does it somehow ruin your life? Or make the slightest difference to your life?

Maybe they just like the look of it? I hope you wear only meaningful clothes.

Without seeming disrespectful, why would I do that? This isn't having a go, I mean lots of people clearly use twitter (including many of my friends), and on occasion, I've googled it if I want to see breaking news (it was handy during the Rangers news), but I find most of the stuff to be a bit vacuous and empty, and I find the character limit precludes discussion. If there is something I want the opinion of famous people, then I'd rather read a detailed blog! Likewise, I don't really see why I'd follow most of p&b... This isn't having a go or anything like that, I just don't see why it is any better than alternatives that already exist, and god knows I've tried to get into it!

I got a twitter account a few months back, and tried to get into it, but I just can't seem to get in the habit of it, and I don't get the fun of it. I guess Twitter isn't for me.

Indeed. Sounds like liiieeeessss!! Not in my house! I have an internet, which does for all my delayed transmission communication needs. I do have a car radio I guess...

That can't be right? I mean I don't have a tv license as I don't have a freeview box or sky, and so have no way of actually watching live tv in my house, but I still have a tv which I use for my Wii.

Not enough snow for anything fun here, but just enough for everyone over 75 in the area to need a hip replacement tomorrow.

No? Really? I've taught 4 person tutorials this semester (only 5 people in the class at best), except I'm an awesome tutor, so I never struggle.

So think about it in more depth, what exactly is it that makes you nervous? Is it who you are speaking in front of? Is it the fear of being laughed at? To use a phrase used on another thread, be very specific. I get nervous before presentations, to the extent where I actually learned to speak entirely without notes and improv a lot of it. It wasn't through confidence, it was so nobody saw my hands shake!

What is it you hate and why? Is there something in particular you don't like? What is it that is losing you confidence?

It depends how long. If you're doing 2 tatties, then ten minutes seems to about do it. If you're doing four, then you need to give it longer, so I guess I would go by about 5 minutes per tattie. Essentially, if I can't stab them through with a knife after I've finished, they need a bit longer. Because its a good time saver! I much prefer tatties baked slowly in the oven (with olive oil and salt rubbed into the skin), but time dictates that I don't have the hour and a bit to kill when I get in, then I stick them in the oven to do them first. If I put them in the oven for 10 minutes, then they are perfectly fine, and to be honest, I can't think of anything else I actually use my microwave for. If I have time, I'll stick them in the oven for another 10 minutes, just to finish em off.

All of those people are terrorists. All of them. And they need to be stopped in order for the poor, innocent, suffering, Israelis to be safe.

You know what I'd like to see? More lunatic versus lunatic arguing! Forget the "reasonable" vs "lunatic" arguments, lets just have the "there is no such place as palestine" on one side, the "there are no such people as jews" on the other, and let THEM fight it out!

I don't know if we should start censoring, after all, I can think of plenty of other posters who post up outright lies, and when called on said lies, continue to post them. Surely, if we were to start banning people for lies then... However, these posts are making me cringe with sheer embarrassment.
