  1. It's marginal and you have to hope they placed the lines and everything correctly. The length of time taken to get to that decision was unacceptable however it needs to be a quicker process. I know we probably lack the budget for it, but more technology to automate it has to be the way forward.
  2. The image is pretty shoddy, so where to draw the line seems tough... Can't even see the ball in that one either.
  3. This. Also I’m fed up with referees coaching a game, full of no, leave it, back. 5 terrible points to leave off the board. Edit 8….
  4. The Mandron call is terrible, Kent collapses under little contact. How VAR hasn’t asked him to view that again is wild. Nearly 4 minutes to review an offside where they can barely see the player is wild.
  5. He was pretty good but looked a bit ponderous at times. I thought he lost the ball quite a bit, O'Hara robbed him as well.
  6. The folk near me were booing at the length of time it was taking and then complaining that the stretcher guys decided to go right across the pitch. Tbh I don't think that was fair, if you are being taking off the key should be taking most direct route not carting them round the back of the pitch. Anyway Nick Walsh made an arse of that game. I'll correct myself later when I see the highlights but Mandron's goal looked fine. They'd done the VAR check for that thought. The lino stepped infront of the corner taker and then Walsh had his hand to the ear. The check should have been over by the time the corner was taken.
  7. I wouldn't be that worried with losing Baccus. Players come and go, and we know he's offski at the end of the season anyway. Robinson is more difficult to replace.
  8. I wouldn't blame Robinson for jumping to Hibs but would be terrible timing for us. Football is weird and as good as we're playing at the moment, we can equally go on a honking run and he comes under pressure. I'm not sure it is the right time for Hibs to get him either- Robinson has a certain style and without the players to fit it can be a bit of a struggle. You only need to look at when we brought him in post Goodwin, he struggled to get a tune out of that team.
  9. England have right plunged in the last few years. Very pleasing.
  10. Lawson is probably who they should have picked in any case. DeVries was the wrong fit and not sure what they are getting out of Danny Ric
  11. South Africa should be easy enough for us.... They looked very good and I think they could up their levels further. WC is likely to be a damp squib for us even though we have a decent squad which is a shame.
  12. Piastri loses the rear, but what on earth happens to Ricciardo here? That's a really strange line. Taken to hospital for further checks. Liam Lawson the reserve if he's struggling?
  13. Surely at some point you're going to have midweeks and short recovery periods? Aberdeen will be the strongest team, at least on paper, that we've faced this year and their squad seems pretty decent. Really sets the mark for how well or otherwise we might do this year.
  14. Lewis Ludlam presumably. But Borthwick said relying on Vunipola wasn't a risk...
  15. No surprise. Lucky it's 4 games with an Ireland friendly included.
  16. I think it falls within 'reckless' definition and Collum was spot on with the yellow. I don't think it meets the requirements for excessive force. When the ball breaks Dunne comes from a fairly close by, he isn't full pelt from distance. The point of contact is ball initially, but when connecting with the player it is low and studs are down to ground. His second leg does make contact as a follow through but it is behind him going into the challenge. His trailing leg comes through as you say, but I'd say a 'two footed tackle' is more one where both feet are pointing at the player and make contact pretty simultaneously.
  17. A two footed lunge. It's nowhere near that and Dunne clearly goes in with his left only.
  18. Not sure why Robbo kept Mandron on. He did fine earlier but was done and not sure why Nahmani or someone wasn't brought on
  19. Kettlewell cares judging by his tears on the radio.
  20. I guess it's what happens that home sales drop a bit when it's a early round cup game and you need to pay extra. You have your core attendees who would go home and away and I guess that's why our away support usually holds up for cup games.
  21. In terms of the club they seem to use Buddie - ie 'Help a Buddie' and the PDE also uses that spelling. I always thought Buddy is the American word.
  22. They aren't. Stirling Highland games is on beside Forthbank on Saturday and Aberdeen preferred to play Friday than Sunday.
  23. I agree with this. If we are going to have a third kit I think it should be a bit different or unusual designs. Those options all seem a bit standard, white with gold/red or red which are colours we pretty regularly use. I just find them pretty uninspiring - would like to have seen something a little bit different for us. I actually liked our yellow and black kit we had. Also Kit 1 - I thought in terms of Paisley it was 'Buddie' rather than 'Buddy' or have I been spelling it wrong for years?
  24. If anything it's World Rugby sending a message to it's panels.
  25. Sigh. I'd have some sympathy on this argument about slow motion if it had been a tackle where it was minimal contact or where the guy was very low down late on, but Farrell sees him coming, doesn't wrap and cleans him to the head.
