  1. That's a huge blow to Glasgow. Aye, arrested and charged according to Sky. https://news.sky.com/story/former-scotland-rugby-captain-stuart-hogg-charged-by-police-after-disturbance-in-hawick-13084460 Honestly guy sounds like he needs help - not seen a career unravelling like this in a while.
  2. I think we have a hard run before the split as we play 2nd, 3rd and 4th plus Motherwell away. We really need points off Ross County and Aberdeen games as Hibs have a far more favourable fixture list on paper with Ross County twice, St Johnstone and Livi.
  3. Thought we were ok but didn't need to get out of second gear. St Johnstone were laughably bad, possibly worse than last time to be honest, hardly threatened until 80 minutes. Kwon getting that goal ruled out looked soft, as he deserved it, he was great all afternoon. Referees as ever were useless. Hope the lad at the end is alright looked concerning
  4. So true. Some of our fans seem decidedly unhappy that we're playing fine at the moment and are waiting for an opportunity to stick the knife in. They'd much rather we were shite and fighting at the bottom to have a moan.
  5. I enjoyed that game. I don't know how much BBC Scotland pay but they get great value.
  6. Handball is always subjective so going to be hard to get consistency - seen even in European games which are supposed to be the better officials reffing. I don't even think the one on Saturday and the one last night were that similar other than they were both handball shouts. Boyd-Munce has his arms down by his side but ball travels further, whereas Ashcroft turns and has is arm out away from his body but the ball comes from nearby.
  7. The next one I bid on we offered 12% above HR on a house in Glasgow last year. Ended up 7th out of 21 bids. My solicitor told me I was "nowhere" close to the winning bid which when I looked after sale was 30% above HR!
  8. Luck of the draw with house buying. We bid on a house, went to a closing date, came 1st and they didn't take our offer but a lower offer from a cash buyer. I've seen % over varying so much in the last year when I was buying. Really depends on the area and property. In certain postcodes in Glasgow the market is still pretty buoyant and 10%+ isn't unheard of. We got sick of losing and had to lower our expectations and go for something needing more work.
  9. Beck is clearly a very good player but he can't do it all on his own - he seemed to be trying a bit too much and was a bit forward and out of position at times. Elvis did pretty well keeping him in check. He looked poor all night, but some English youth players you do wonder - if they are on a series of loans and nearly 21, why on earth are they still there - they should be off playing down the levels and trying to get a career. His offside trap at the end is as good as Carson's attempts to save the shots.
  10. As much as VAR is a pain in the arse, decisions like that offside would have been ruled out without it. It’s not even a tight offside call, he is barely out his own half and the half wit linesman has flagged it. I was just to the right of that ball through and it looked miles on, he even did the thing of pointing the flag down (I thought to show the chasing Dundee players that he wasn’t going to flag) but no, goal went in and he sticks it up. I think most of the ground knew it was going to be given, pretty sure the Saints bench knew it early.
  11. Tony Docherty’s tear stained rant just adds to the night. I suppose that’s easier to blame the SFA than yourself for a poor display. It’s not even a penalty or a horrendous call either. Talking of horrendous calls, the lino calling that second goal offside when he was nearly in his own half and about 5 yards on. One of the worst calls I’ve seen. Not sure the red card is a straight red either, it’s a yellow for me (which would have ended up the same).
  12. Octopus Tracker tariff I am on is today 14.47p for electricity and 3.86p for gas. Wholesale prices have generally been tracking well lower than the price cap for a while.
  13. Haven't been paying much attention then. Apparently only played 4 and bit games for Gloucester this season. Aye, I don't understand how rugby is refereed any more. This looks like a clear red card.
  14. Has Adam Hastings been fit at all recently?
  15. I agree with that. My last trip was from Switzerland up to Frankfurt on the A5. The inside lane was basically a train of lorries at 55mph and when overtaking you had to keep your eyes on the mirror for the folk barrelling along at 120mph+ who'd be flashing lights at you. You then basically have to squeeze in between artics to get out the way of them before you go back to overtaking and the cycle repeats again. It was a bit tiring after a while. I encountered some bits which were pretty busy, but nothing on M6/M25 issues at times. France was far easier and less stressful on the motorways mainly as there were less lorries.
  16. It's classic local politics. All politicians agree there is a housing crisis, wants more homes and more affordable homes built. They just want them built nowhere near their constituents. I remember going to a local consultation on a development not far from us. It was hilarious to see all these old folk so worked up about a few new houses. Total boomer facebook style outrage about how awful the traffic is, how their kids can't afford a house here (presumably less houses helps that) and these developers are just building houses to make money (duh!). If I was the people hosting it, I'd have been in jail before the end of the evening.
  17. Brewdog's ability to shoot themselves in the foot is something else. Having your CEO on twitter telling people only all the positives of 2023, that they are working on a Brewdog movie script, then a few days later issuing an update to staff that 2023 wasn't great and they aren't getting real living wage going forward. Cracking.
  18. I think Greive's been decent enough for us. He's not prolific in scoring but we've really used him off the bench. Scored some decent goals for us, and a great workrate. I'd be happy to keep him but we're way over subscribed in that area. He'd be a great player at Championship level for sure.
  19. I remember that game well. Hasselbaink and Teale were excellent but we just lacked a cutting edge. We had a few games on BT Sport even back in the Championship days.
  20. What fixture was that? I remember us playing a 0-0 away to Hamilton on ESPN (?) the same day as Sky had the 6-6 game from Fir Park
  21. Lets not forget our supporters had Strain down as 'shite' following the league cup games including one against Airdrie. I don't think Elvis did much wrong in that one.
  22. Was that not where one of them thumped the back of the stand when Celtic fucked up a move and got the 'yous enjoying the match?' from the rest of the crowd. Thought they slinked out not long after that.
  23. He certainly improved us but should have achieved top 6 and the semi final defeats were poor. Signings were good but I thought he was a little stubborn, like the awful run before the winter break when the fans could see the issues with the shape before he finally chucked 5-3-2 and went on the run of 4 wins and a draw that got him the Aberdeen job! I thought he was a bit fortunate to get the job and said he would need luck but was accused of sour grapes I don’t watch enough of Aberdeen, so not best placed to comment, but from what I see they seem to have decent enough players but just lack something overall to get it working as a team. I can see why they don’t think Robson is the right man however the results at the end of last year made it hard to ignore him. The County game is a big one for his future. Anyway on the game, pleased to win today but missing the first penalty was frustrating as that would have made things easier. Feel for O’Hara he’s just not at last seasons level despite the goal. Perhaps the break will come at a good time for him. Just looking at it, I feel we got a couple of breaks today we just didn’t get in some of the last few games. 7 points from last 5 of County, Killie, Motherwell at home and Aberdeen and Hearts away isn’t the best but isn’t awful.
  24. Honking game. Second half we seemed surprised to understand the wind was strong... How many times did Hemming or others just boot it straight out for a goal kick. To be fair his saves were excellent. Disappointed not to score after missing the penalty, relieved to get a draw after the chances Motherwell had. No idea what our defensive line was about 2nd half or the subs. Small for McMenamin, because that's worked well before... Kiltie who I thought was playing well for Greive which didn't seem to work. Not sure that game was one for Mandron either. O'Hara is definitely struggling for form in the last few games and had a poor one today even excluding the penalty miss. Baccus was good for us and got the ball down well though he fell out of it when the subs changed the shape. Clearly a missed opportunity for Motherwell, no other team (well apart from us) would spurn so many chances at the end. Biereth is a good player even if he was isolated for long spells. I'm not sure how effective the high press was, they were much better sitting deep and countering. Slattery must have been playing on sheet ice to be rolling on the ground that often
  25. . Seeing his record there is crazy- no manager would last the season now with those stats
