Her job is to literally clearly announce names. She failed to do that because she got caught up in the emotion of it all.

So she, quite literally, struggled to do her job yet got huge praise for it.

In a literal sense, yeah. Still don't see why it's a problem. Helps sell the moment they're trying to get over if anything, it's theatre.

    Samantha Irvin is shite.

She struggled to announce Cody as the winner and was lauded for being emotional.

What's wrong with that? She's around them the whole time and maybe just absolutely fucking loves it? Seth looked like he was greetin when he rolled out the ring talking back to Drew, and Cole was quite clearly emotional as well. Wish I cared a fraction as much about my job as they do theirs.

  3. Something I forgot to mention too, at the conclusion of the Reigns-Cody match (and I'm not just saying this with hindsight), there was a huge wind of change feeling, like a massive cathartic release of emotion. Obviously in  storyline terms, it's a big change of direction, but you really felt it in the stadium. I imagine it was similar back when DB had his famous night. Only this time we don't have a deluded old piece of shit steering the ship.

Hope they're able to keep riding this wave. It might be partly jetlag but my comedown is horrific 😅

Make no mistake as well, this weekend was the end. A definitive line in the sand of Vince's era and his quirks and preferences in terms of how he wants things said and done and when. Everyone still argues when eras ended and begun in WWE. This weekend from the HoF onwards was a line drawn under Vince's 'Sports Entertainment' eras for sure. Anyone who has watched WWE for a long time can surely see and feel that change.

It feels like the biggest Professional Wrestling company on the planet is no longer ashamed to call itself or be a Professional Wrestling company.

One moment in the stadium last night which absolutely demonstrated this (and I assume it was the same stuff shown on TV) was the Cody 'story' video before the start of the main, where they showed him with the Jacksons. Got a pretty cool reaction in the stadium.

One other cool reaction in the stadium was the advert for the next Saudi show. Massive boos for that.

  5. Well folks, I was there tonight. Quite honestly fucking incredible. Absolutely incredible.

Dunno how it sounded on TV but I thought the crowd for the most part were hot, after reading it was a bit flat night 1.

Have barely been able to collect myself but I can't wait to watch back with commentary.

Gutted for Drew; a lot of the crowd were behind him and we went daft when he won, but the execution of the switch was tremendous.

  6. I can't see anything anywhere at the moment saying otherwise but I thought I'd check with the real fonts of knowledge in here: there's nothing stopping me trying to get more tickets for the Scotland games in the resale window when I already have SSC tickets, is there?

  7. I watched the Irish broadcast of the game yesterday and Rob Kearney Matt Williams and Shane Horgan were tripping over themselves in the studio to back the TMO decision. Possibly because they knew it's good for Ireland over the championship, but I found it absolutely wild as they'd have been the exact opposite had Ireland been on the end of it.

I'm not sure what's depressed me more this evening.

    The performance and subsequent result

The utter apathy at the end

The argument I had with the racist bawbag in the first half that then escalated again at half time.

Seriously wondering if I should bother going back

Forby everything else, the club absolutely does not need c***s like this on the terrace, I hope they get identified and banned.

  9. It might be my new year back at work grumpiness but I watched the undisputed kingdom 'explanation' segment and was bored af. I get that it won't have gone as originally planned but deary me I couldn't have given less of a shit about Cole and his wee group.

Still think the current situation may not have come about if the club had appointed a good assistant to Bullen.  Not sure what Neil Scally is doing nowadays but he might have been a good choice.  Internet seems to suggest he had been out of football since Feb 23.

I'm not sure Timmins has been appropriately replaced. He was a lot more than goalkeeping coach.

    No

I am literally fucking praying for someone to tell us he’s away.

Can't see it until after Inverness.

I'm fearful the board have made a rod for their own back by thinking we could coast through this season while working on getting the replacement in place for the summer. Unusual position to be in actually.

  12. To play devil's avocado with McGeady for a second, should he be offering fans out, absolutely not. But you're at the end of an amazing playing career and it's spluttering out amidst injuries and fitness issues at a miserable Cappielow on the 2nd of January when your brain still wants you to do what you could 10 years ago, it's mentally frustrating af. He'd be as well making peace with it and calling it a day.

What a game. Full of mistakes, goalkeeping errors, lacklustre defending, bad refereeing and atrocious tackles. Ayr were lucky not to have more than one man sent off. Anyway we did it again, scored another goal in injury time.

How do you work that one out? There was one other card in the match and it was for a Raith player.

Time for Omega to chuck it, I think. His long term health genuinely isn't worth it and he was on the fence whether he'd come back with all the multiple injuries last time around.

Feel for are Kenny. I fantasize yet about him ending up in WWE but these current health issues mounting up plus his injuries would make it a retirement tour I'd rather not see.

  15. Saw a clip yesterday of Badenoch losing her mind at the select committee over whether she used the word "disease" when talking about trans numbers. Whether or not the mp making the reference made a c**t of it I don't know, but it was a nice set up once she'd had her wee tantrum over the language we us when the chair then pointed out to her she'd used the word "explosion" (of trans kids) without presenting any data to back the word up with.

Badenoch knows exactly what she's doing. She's an absolute danger.
