It is clear and obvious that Gordon's touch on Nouble's back is not enough to send him sprawling to the ground. Despite that, the ref isn't invited to look at the screen and confirm his decision. It is not clear and obvious that Gordon actually makes any contact whatsoever with Nouble for the red card. The referee had an excellent view of the tackle and I don't think anyone - maybe with the exception of Nouble himself - was looking for a foul, never mind a red card, when play stopped. Despite that, the referee is asked to look at the screen and presumably given a very misleading still image in the first instance to overrule himself with. The whole system is garbage and we end up with two game changing moments going against the same player, when they very easily could, and in at least one instance should, have gone the other way.

That penalty is pathetic. Nouble’s legs have collapsed with Gordon putting his hand on his back, no actual push, just a touch.

I’m an obsessive on this point, but Carey’s second half performance was an abomination. Another game he’s had the full 90 as well. He got to the byline twice in the first half and created two good chances - the first time he’s done that in months - but second half his decision making was astonishing. Abysmal.

Just bear in mind the player he’d likely be replacing is Cammy McPherson. As such I’m all for it.

I felt we were doing fine up til the half hour mark. Hibs' playing out from the back then trying to launch it into space behind our defence for their pacey players to run on to wasn't working particularly well IMO, and you could hear the discontent from the stands growing. We then concede a really soft goal from a second ball at a set piece, and that's pretty much that. We don't have enough of an attacking threat, especially playing May as a lone striker. I assume we'd worked all week on this shape and set up with the plan of playing Kane through the middle, which is a workable option, but it would never work with May there after Kane dropped out on Friday. We desperately need to find a formula with the players we have to create more quality chances. There's no reason why Kane/Clark/Wright/May/Jephcott can't get half a dozen goals each minimum this season. Cut out the silly shit at the back and we can at least keep ourselves in touch at the bottom without getting cut totally adrift. At the moment, however, that seems a long way off.

For that to happen we’d need to find some home form, something we’ve just not had since pretty much pre covid.

It's not so much that they become cumulative, it's that they can cross-corroborate one another if they are similar in time/method/that kind of thing. There are very specific circumstances in which it operates.

I've never had a real issue with security going outbound - even when it was absolutely heaving in July we were through fairly swiftly. The queue coming back in at 1am though was wild, but the fast track looked like a great shout.

I just completely lost the run of myself. I hit an absolute shocker of a tee shot to start the hole where I made a 10 but it bounced out the trees and sat up nicely. Instead of taking that as a break in my favour I proceeded to f**k it directly into a bush, hack out, then smash a perfectly struck five wood into a bunch of trees behind the green.
