  1. My putting has been all over the place so far this year. 44 putts a couple of weeks ago, 40 yesterday - all while managing to make 50% greens in reg. Had a four stab yesterday having put it on the green with a 210 yard five wood. Just ridiculous stuff. Practice required.

I think with the shape they've decided fits us, they want a striker dropping into midfield to defend. They don't trust Sidibeh to do that yet, which is fair enough and would be a massive waste. They don't trust Kimpioka to do it as he's not that type either.

Leaves you with Clark and May, and Clarks the clear winner there based on performances this season?

I'd rather just see a different shape but I think it's going to be Clark playing that way plus either Sidibeh or Kimpioka until the end of the season now, unless Phillips is out longer term. Think we'd go to one up front in that case and probably have a midfield four of M. Smith, Kucheriavyi, Carey, and C. Smith, which feels soft as shite.

Clark has been our best striker this season, no doubt, but that’s predicated on him playing in the penalty box. If you want a forward to drop into the midfield you’d be as well playing May because it suits him far better. Clark there makes no sense. Especially with shitebags around him.

Mention above of Max looking better yesterday and more positive - he had one good moment with a drive forward and shot early in the second half, but beyond that I thought he was anonymous. He has to take a lot of the blame for the first goal too - he didn’t know what to do and left the guy who put the cross in all on his own with plenty of time to pick a cross out. The second goal - conceded at a time where it looked like we might get back into it - was just absolutely rubbish.

Keltjens doesn’t have any attacking ability at all, Connor Smith is an empty jersey, Gallacher and Robinson are a bit better than what we have on the right but not a threat.

The contrast with Killie - who have an excellent squad and a superb manager - is massive. Our manager is far too cautious. That’s a long term trait, but also probably a result of him knowing the options off the bench are mostly nonsense as well. But only making one unenforceable sub before the 88th minute is just ridiculous.

Could be on the Astro at Riverside tbf

If the grass at riverside is playabale that’s incredible tbh. The amount of water that came over the wall at the airport as a result of the incredibly high tide combined with the wind literally sloshing it over was unbelievable on Sunday and even yesterday there were big parts of it still under water. Riverside Drive was partly flooded as well when the tide was up the last couple of days, and that’s before you add todays rain on top.

Why did he need to leave you ? The same guy that is ripping up the league.

All in honesty not a dig but I cannot remember another player that has had such a conversion.

Still I would rather have two cup wins in one year. A quite phenomenal achievement 👏👏

Because he was completely and utterly hopeless with us. We probably didn’t use him to the best of his ability but when he did play he didn’t show *any* of what you’re seeing from him now, even in flashes that would suggest there was better to come.

  5. Fish has got away with a couple of really daft things early in this game - he fell over looking for a free kick and basically picked the ball up right at the start, but somehow it was only given as a throw in? Then he clipped Sidibeh miles off the ball which would almost certainly have been a yellow card, but luckily for him the offside flag went up.

All very Gavin Gunning type stuff.

  6. Kind of incident that would never have been a penalty pre VAR, but you're surprised it wasn't awarded now. Felt like the guy who went up with Mitov was about to bounce back to his feet when he first hit the deck but then decided to lie there for a while and chance his arm. Unclear from the initial replay if Mitov got a touch on the ball first before colliding with the striker.

Wind looks like it's not much fun to be playing in at all.

I don't think there is a precedent for this. I just don't understand why it has to be behind closed doors and why of all places Airdrie was chosen.

McDairmid would surely be a far more sensible alternative. Also, if they decide behind closed doors is a must then there's no need for policing, ticketing, stewarding etc and really, it could be played anywhere at all, so why Airdrie?

I can’t imagine Saints wanting an extra game played on our rutted mess of a pitch on the back of all this rain and snow if we don’t absolutely have to.

Cup ties, but mainly the split.

I've asked several times and had no response. Does anyone know if the Dens pitch would have been playable last night, and if so, is there any justifiable reason for the SPFL's decision to ignore the open date of the 3rd of April, in favour of the 10th of April which left them no contingency in an already difficult fixture logjam?

If it had been in a playable state last night then surely there wouldn't be any doubt about the game going ahead on Saturday? There clearly is doubt, which would suggest it wouldn't have been playable yesterday.

That's not altogether surprising given the weather yesterday was far, far worse than it was at the Rangers postponement. Today is clear and sunny which will help, but probably not enough to dry it out completely and given the rain forecast the next couple of days that suggests another big issue come Saturday.
