  1. In a flurry of views on this topic of varying quality, your one piques my interest. Much like posts that proffer the permanently adolescent view that if only we sack the boss everything will be so much better, local councillors play to the gallery and prefer to defer to others to take the grown up and nuanced decisions. Distributed and despatchable green generation is of national importance. In an Inverness context where the big bowl of the landscape is mostly given over to various structures, it is incumbent upon the community to agree to reasonable access to the DNO's infrastructure for our common good.
  2. "The Caley" predates your suggestion by several decades as erstwhile attendees at Telford Street could testify. The cry of "The Caley" prevailed prior to the club dying* whereas in Glasgow it was used post mortem. *apologies to remaining Howden Enders
  3. I wouldn't be too sure about that. What you seem to forget is that he mentioned budget in every pre match interview and that would definitely be the difference
  4. It was. Atletico Madrid games are a good watch.
  5. Oh dear, how inconvenient... Former Lib Dem leader Charles Kennedy has insisted his party went the "extra mile" to check out donor Michael Brown before accepting his money. Brown - who gave the party £2.4m ahead of the 2005 election - was later convicted of stealing £36m from clients and is now on the run from the police. The Electoral Commission ruled in 2009 the party could keep the money. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-14870774
  6. I'm pretty sure he's had prostate cancer
  7. That's great news. It'll be great to see him back without a hair out of place.
  8. Martin Geissler was interviewing an expert on the Creative Scotland grant for a fruity arts project. Martin asked about the auditing process. The answer.. Suck it and see. One hour 27 minutes if you don't believe He also said you've hit to get onto them but I've decided to let that one lie.
  9. From that perspective Pat Bonner keeps on saying "from that perspective". I noticed last week and in 15 minutes today he's said it many many times. If you are listening, I do hope it won't irritate you.
  10. He dashed off his line beyond the penalty mark to smother a terrific through ball from Lawal. He got there before Pepple but his head became geographically intimate with boot and bone. He was supported as he walked off the park.
  11. Citation and explanation for your subjectivity required
  12. This is along the lines of the reply that I was going to post but couldn't be bothered to. I'm sure @AyrExile is proud of his contribution that infers that Scotland is inadequate or not worthy of offering compassion
  13. We'll he's certainly got a touch and a pass. I didn’t expect him to last past the hour mark today but there was a through ball quite late in the game straight through the D and towards the penalty spot that was crying out for a striker to properly anticipate. That was the game right there. Alas the pass was better than the striker's run.
  14. No self respecting club would allow themselves to be used for such a charlatan politician Would they?
  15. Except that is, when you don't. The club would be on a much better footing if there was less performative girning and more, oh let's see, oh yes, more season ticket renewing
  16. That's a pleasure to witness and the tribute Nick Cave led at Shane's funeral is heart achingly beautiful
  17. The last time I travelled long haul, I was just preparing to tuck in to my gratis meal when I suddenly became aware of an almighty grunting. I looked to my left to see the sleeping and snoring form of a fellow traveller. The snoring was almost tolerable and the slavering was best when my gaze avoided the grotesque. The flight was fleetingly enjoyable when the miasma of his intermittent farting cleared. I endeavoured to make the best if it and relieved him of his uneaten repast and tasty beverage.
