I take it this is the case where the woman's been jailed - after having a confession beaten from her by one of the detectives involved in the McCann case - for murdering her daughter about seven miles away from where Madeleine McCann went missing? No body found etc etc I heard about this a week or so ago, and I'm surprised there hasn't been more made of it in the UK media. The report I read was very damning indeed!

Given that GPs now earn well over £100,000 due to their new contracts, and Gerry, being a cardioid consultant, earns a load more than that, I think it's safe to assume they won't struggle for cash.

100% agree. Just horrible behaviour, really, and the fact they tried to peddle the "we've all done it" notion later on really pissed me off. As to the rest of the case, I've no idea - as has been said 1001 times already none of us do until we know what actual evidence there is. Nobody's coming out of this fiasco particularly well, though, and the version of events detailed in that newspaper cutting is frankly appalling.
