  1. I'm not saying now is the time to change but we can't afford to wait until it's too late. There are only 27 league games this season.
  2. I'd need to see the penalty incident again, I wasn't entirely sure what happened but it looked like the whole defence was a shambles for the second half in particular. I just find it a bit hypocritical to say you want to instil confidence in the keeper yet pick faults at every opportunity. I'm not denying that he has faults but people have short memories - he looked like a really good find at the start of last season and was making brilliant saves. There's a decent keeper in there someplace and he's still a young lad. Unfortunately we don't have time to wait for him to become consistent and get the mistakes out of his game.
  3. I'm sure criticising him on a public message board will help I know you seem to have an agenda against him at the moment and he hasn't been very good since before the Cove game last season, but I don't think he can be blamed for any of the goals yesterday. In fact he made a couple of decent saves which at the time kept us in the game.
  4. This is a very good point. With it being a shorter season we can't afford to hang on too long. Albion Rovers away in two weeks who seem to be the team we should be aiming to finish above. If we don't have any points on the board after that game then I think it's time to make the change. Where's the Panic button? I have a feeling I'll be needing it soon.
  5. I'm glad he seems to be bringing in a couple of players with pace, something we were severely lacking in last season.
  6. Hamilton really came onto a game before the season stopped. He has potential to do well. Didn't see enough of Sinclair to have much of an opinion on him - he got injured then struggled to get back in the team.
  7. I'm not saying it wasn't likely Brechin would finish bottom. I'm saying that it wasn't mathematically impossible for them to finish above that, same as Hearts, Partick and Stranraer. The difference with Brechin is they weren't even in an automatic relegation spot regardless of whether they finished bottom or not. Bonnyrigg weren't even that far behind Kelty either so it makes all their complaining even worse. If the leagues can be reconstructed in a way that doesn't penalise any teams then go for it. Unfortunately there's going to be some losers someplace and considering it was far from a foregone conclusion that Kelty would win the league, then win against whoever won the Highland League, then win against Club 42, I'd suggest that's the most sensible place to have a 'loser' in this situation.
  8. How Kelty can say that it would rightly see Hearts, Partick and Stranraer saved from any more damage when they are practically begging for a playoff against Brechin who also weren't guaranteed to finish bottom. Hypocritical rubbish.
  9. Am I right in thinking only O'Neill, Jackson and Scott are signed up beyond the end of this season? The only ones I'd definitely re-sign apart from those are Reekie, Inglis and McManus. Could give or take the rest.
  10. I didn't realise Brechin were mathematically guaranteed to finish bottom. Can I get this weeken's lottery numbers while you're at it, Nostradamus?
  11. Since Scott has signed, he's scored 3. The only other goal we've scored since then was a Kieran Inglis penalty. I'm not sure how much more you're expecting from him. I think you're forgetting just how poor the squad was before January. Wilson got rid of Ngoy, Crawford and Knox and replaced them with Scott, Jackson and McCabe (the latter two haven't lit the heather on fire and should be doing better but are still an improvement on what we had). He's also sent back the keeper to St Johnstone who was just taking up a loan spot and brought in Petkov and Strachan to improve the defence. We're in the position we're in because of mistakes made in previous seasons (Dods should have been sacked at the end of the Championship season, Smith should have gone at the end of the League One season). Wilson was never going to come in and suddenly make us a good team again, but there have definitely been improvements made. Unfortunately those improvements aren't going to be enough to stop us finishing bottom. Hopefully by the time the playoffs come around there will have been further improvements to pull off another 'great escape'.
  12. I'd disagree with pretty much all of this. We looked a lot more solid at the back but I wouldn't say we 'set up not to concede'. Hamilton was excellent at both ends of the pitch; his defensive work was surprisingly good and going forward he gave their defence real problems. The diagonal ball to Hamilton was always available and was an effective way to counter. We did look a bit leggy late on but still managed to push on and could very well have won. Hamilton, Petkov and Allan were the stand-outs for me but Jackson and Scott were trying to press from the front all night. Left back for Queens Park impressed me too in the first half.
  13. This is great news. We desperately needed someone at the back.
  14. How do you find positives in the mess we are in?
  15. Well noticed. Website said his loan was until January when he signed.
  16. I assumed it was because Allan's loan was up and he'd one back to Dunfermline?
  17. Paul McManus is 37 and has been by far our best player this season. Just an observation. I also assume the fund would stretch further than just one player.
  18. I think players from both teams lost it to be fair, and the ref completely lost control of the situation, which is a shame as I thought he'd been reasonably good, penalty incident aside. Highlights will be interesting as I didn't see what Hill did to deserve his red card.
  19. This season's squad, but swap Paul McManus for Ross Kavanagh.
  20. I thought we looked much better after Crawford went off - we were more solid in midfield and started to get into the game. Hamilton and Knox pushed on a bit and were supporting from wide - a couple of times Hamilton took on his man and held on a bit too long when Knox was free on the other side and looking for the ball. A bit better decision making at times and I think it could have been a different scoreline. Not that we were any great shakes, but I didn't think much of Annan either. And don't get me started on the ref. Our heads went after he started giving them everything with about 10-15 mins left and that's how the penalty came about.
