Oh don't get me wrong, I'm HOPING for a few more, but looking at the fixtures and trying to be as "grounded" as possible I'd settle for the 45 and move on to next season. Lots of football to be played before anything's decided!!

Having a look at the fixtures left, and points tally so far, I'm plumpin for around the 43-45 point mark to finish the season.

Wanted to wait to see the highlights before commenting, as there were a couple of things (Gabbys goal, Frizz red card shout) that would obviously look better than from where we were sitting. Thought Dunfermline started the far better team, we looked all over the shop and Dunfermlines movement was pretty good, I thought we were in for a torrid night. Fordyce took slightly longer to settle than normal (2nd half probably, really) and Watson was pretty slack letting Jak by him early doors, but after about 10 minutes and we got a foot on the ball, and most folk had a few touches we settled in fine. Silky passing was few and far between, but we did the basics well. The wee pass to Frizz, and his cross were excellent. What a difference with a ball actually falling to Frizz's left rather than fanny about and do anything bar hit it with his right . We got away with one for sure with Frizz challenging for that ball infront of the NW, I dont think theres malice in it, but its ill judged and on further viewing I couldnt have complained if it was red. Second half, much of a muchness with dunfermline enjoying a share of the ball, but never really troubling Raes goal. A lot of "through balls" going right out the park for a goal kick. Gabbys goal was some hit but hes been shown nowhere near enough pressure in that situation from the defenders, great hit though. A decent night all round, good drive home and a precious 3 points. I'd take 1 on Saturday!!

Well I'll start by saying, what a marked difference in that QP side, night and day with the last couple games, certainly a bit more resilience and fight in this team. Thought the first half, apart from the excellent save from Toddy (?), 0-1 at Half Time was a pretty fair reflection, couldn't really complain. Second half we upped the game a bit, kept a bit more possession and there was a bit more urgency in the play, no doubt the triple sub had an effect, Lyall had a few exchanges of the ball with Donnell in the phases before Mason collected for his goal. Both goals in the game massively preventable, but both nice clean strikes. Not a defeat, so we move on to Tomorrow night with the "anything can happen" attitude. We're surely due a win up there.

This was more or less word for word what went through my head when I read the original post. If a manager can't take criticism from fans at some points of his tenure, you've got to consider if he's capable.

TBH I don't mind it, one of the best places to watch football in the right weather. She's just a moaning ar$e

That point against Morton recently was a well earned point, in a tough game for both sides. I expect this one to be no different. Our best chance of keeping it tight is if Fordyce plays (obviously). If he's out, I'd fancy Morton to grab the points here and really put us in and about the mire!! Won't be going this weekend, the daughters visit to Greenock earlier In the season was plenty for her, "do we have to go back there?". No,no we don't.

Absolutely no complaints about the game/result/outcome etc. Thought it was a decent event, and apart from being worlds apart in terms of finishing, I thought we handled ourselves not too terribly. Hearts had the cigars out the last 15 and we were just chasing shadows, but that's what to expect when you come up against the 3rd best side in the country. If Hancocks header goes in at 1-0 then obviously that gets the crowd back up, but Hearst ran right up the other end and scored, the 3rd just took any breath out the Airdrie crowd that was left, and that was that. Again, as I said, beaten fair and square by the better side, both teams made that very very easy for the referee as well, the focus more on playing decent football than trying to get physical, so credit to both sides for that. Naismiths a very exciting young manager, and he appears to be handling himself very well in the media (from what I see anyway). Finally, credit to the jambos fans that came in their droves, sang for 90 mins and backed their team. Nice to have a big night again at Broomfield.

Fwiw I'd have Lyall in there. He's had more time with the squad training, a few games, he'll know our way of playing a bit better and his touch has impressed me when I've seen him.

I'm pretty sure that's where he's originally from, I think he played boys club football with Kirkfieldbank over that way.

His last game away at Golgotha was a bit of a farce tbh.
