Looking around the division there's not been a lot of activity elsewhere, possibly that we did a lot of business early is a wee factor in many's impatience with the current slow down. I'm happy with the way things are going but can see the similarities to the start of last pre-season's central defence issues, it has more than just a hint of deja vu about it.
Far too early to chuck the toys out the pram, surly a massive lesson was learned last season no?
Mind you it is the Rovers ain't it.

Hope it's not Salmon Short either, I've heard many a fan say we've had a right few crap players over the years who were about as good as him.

Arthur Newman not to be confused with Arthur Numan, but A Newman all the same.
Also Andrew Norman Other who may be another, as long as they don't just turn out to be S. Paremen

I liked Murray when he was here, but every time I've seen him since he's been dugmeat.
Either I was wrong, and there's every chance of that, or he's been dugmeat since then.
When a defender or a keeper fucks up and in ends up in a goal it tends to stick in your mind (at least it does with me).
My memories of Murray with us is that he was he was good in the air but utterly rancid on the deck when an opponent got the ball in the middle of the park and took him on, all too often he neither showed him left or right nor (as you perhaps expect) put in a tackle but instead backed off and allowed him to shoot once in range.

With you saying down South Euan Murray immediate springs to mind here.

Given the calibre of our signings so far I’ll be peeved if we can’t do better than him.
This might be more heart than head talking with me remembering what he was like at Pars and Killie, but I don’t fancy another season watching him running in reverse allowing an attacker to pick his spot.

So Sim as Marcellus Wallace, JMcG as Vincent Vega, and Paul Smith as Jules Winnfield? I guess that leaves Barrowman as Mr. Wolfe, Steve MacDonald as Jimmy Dimmick and Bill Clark as Marvin?
Who do we reckon was the gimp?, Ian McCall?

Have to respectfully disagree with you there, the South Stand will be like a morgue if you move the “singing section” to the North end of the Railways stand. Like or dislike the Young lads with their Pyro and drum they create the atmosphere, if you move that to the other end of the pitch then the entire atmosphere will be at one end THE AWAY END. You need the home atmosphere to be at the home end not the away, whether that’s at the back of the South Stand or in the Railway Stand it needs to be at the South end of the ground.
You and old Dave will just have to sing a bit louder.

Aye yer struggling with this 1 Cup winners?
Aww bless, but I'd far rather be struggling with that ancient quandary than struggling to escape your current one being stuck in bottom tier of Scottish football.
Chin up wee yin, incidentally what age is your closest living relative who was alive when EFFC last won a cup?

In my opinion yes, I think it is a really good signing and I’d imagine most people would be happy.
As long as it's not Alan McGregor, never liked him and even less since his childishness with Baz the radge.

You wish! I would suggest this would be only if Mr McKenzie is on the hunt for another joiner, painter or labourer etc.

Aside from his handful of really good goals, given our latest signings, I actually think I wouldn't be too distraught with that.

As funny as that bed shiting was by Partick, it just highlights the absolute mountain teams have to climb if they finish 4th to get promoted.
6 games vs 2 at the end of a long season it's no wonder a 4th placed team have never managed to get up.
I agree in principal but to play the devils advocate and add context, Ross Co only played 2 less games over their league campaign than Partick in theirs.
The only real difference being Partick had 2 games in a week twice in May to Ross Co's 1 time.
In May:
Ross Co played 5 games
Partick played 5 games
In June:
They played each other H & A.

Jack Healy, is a good player who will improve with good coaching and help from senior players. Don't be so stupid about him coming from East Fife. Never forget one of the BEST Rovers players came from Methilhill
I think you'll find Alex James was from Bellshill and Jim Baxter was from Hill Of Beith, easy mistake to make kiddo.
Mind you there have been so many greats in our 140 year history there's bound to have been at least 1 decent player from along by.

Most footballers are fairly handy at golf, but not Adolf. He used to spent a lot of time in bunkers.
He'd have been quite handy to have around Starks just now though, could have helped paint the new dressing rooms.

Please mr yousaf save Scottish football from this madness
This!
Please help, have a word with Jenni Minto to see if you can free up some money to help NHS Tayside with care in the community for such mentally unbalanced souls, especially such as this guy. He clearly can't cope and obviously needs a lot of help.

Brads away and fair f***s to him, decent player in his time here but not a stand out last season nor irreplaceable. I get what folks are saying about him being the main player dropping deep to move it forwards but last season without Matthews that wasn't happening so much, it seemed to work better when they were both on the park, with only Brad I often thought we were far too easy to suss out and negate. Hopefully this transfer will see us develop different ideas.
As for the season tickets I'm neither disappointed nor surprised, it is what it is, and as others have said everything else is going up too. I didn't bother with a season ticket last year for the 1st time in about 30 years. I was disappointed with the clubs treatment of fans post covid by not even offering an early bird deal and I stuck stuck to my guns, my main beef being that as I am on a shift rotation I am away for 40% of the time and as a result only see about 11 or 12 league homes per season, at the current rate of £315 that means I will be paying £26 a game, ergo I'm better off paying at the gate and buying extra 50/50s. Some win and some lose eh?

Interesting signings but other than Hamilton nothing that would justify any excessive panty wetting from some other fans, suggesting buying the league on the strength of what here so far is just silly.
So far with the exception of Jack Hamilton we are seeing fairly similar transfer business to last year albeit much earlier in the window. A defender brought in Corr (Millen), a winger Mullen (Easton) another midfielder McGill (Brown) a few re-signings and Spencer dragging his heels on whether to stay or not.
Hopefully there will be a few (at least 1 experienced) defenders through the door in the next week or two. I'd like to see another keeper in too, I agree with the sentiment that Thomson is happy with coaching and being number 2, I could be wrong but I don't think the young lad is ready for being first pick and I'd like to see someone with more experience and height that deals with crosses (not like Jammer).
If Spencer stays then fine but I'm not fussed if he goes, a poor last 4 months and with Brown, Matthews, Arnott, McGill, Stanton and even Easton there's more than enough cover for the central roles.

Anyone know if JH hasa clause allowing him to move if we don't get promoted?

I hope he's had a medical (inside joke for anyone at the AGM).
Great news however there was a worrying moment when I missed the word recent in the blurb on the main site.
"Returning to the Livingston squad at the start of season 2018-19, Jack made a number of substitute appearances in the League Cup and SPFL Premiership before starting his first loan spell in the SPFL Championship at Alloa in January 2019 with the aim of furthering his development. At Recreation Park, Jack played alongside current and recent Rovers players Liam Dick and Dario Zanatta."

Cant see any of these players being wanted by us, or perhaps me wanting to see any of them with us.
Murray runs as quickly backwards as he does forwards, he gets plenty practice doing that as Hank said.
Stewart isn't an upgrade on what we already have, GMS would be an upgrade but at a cost and is getting on a bit, same for Smith who will be 35 in September and although a decent defender his days of bombing forward for 90 mins are behind him.
None of these guys fit the "young & hungry" mold the manager and board say they are looking for.
