  1. If the interest in Carson is true and we are looking for a minimum 6 figures, this one could possibly be close to happening to and we have this money in mind as further income? All speculative of course.
  2. Out of the list of current players I wouldn't be surprised if we still potentially see 4-5 move on. Baccus has already had interest, I know that O'Hara was being looked at last season and Ryan Strain will no doubt have clubs looking at him. Throw Carson in there who's days look limited. Add to the above, with more players due to come in, you cant help but think a couple of our forward players will be reduced to further playing time with one striker in and another 2 to follow.
  3. I'm sure we will see more activity over the next 2-3 weeks. Wouldn't be surprised to see more outgoings as well as incomings.
  4. Henderson isn't confirmed as a signing yet though. Two separate deals. You can't throw a player into a development fee
  5. McMennamin deal off according to Scott Burns @ Sunsport. I'm sure we have other targets in sight. Be interesting to know if the money we were willing to spend on him for a transfer fee was part of expected moneys from Henderson and Brophy or if it was money available on top of that?
  6. Reading from Kilmarnock fans' feedback, he left his young family south of the border and was possibly struggling mentally at the time his form took a dip. Its hard for a goalkeeper to work his way back in when there is only one position available, its always been the case. Since Langfield took up the coaching role, we have never taken a risk or really had a bad goalkeeper between the sticks as no1. Dean Lynness was probably short of being a no1 pick, though he was okay. Hemming has just signed a new contract at Middlesborough till 2026 and came highly recommended by former Blackburn Rovers GK Alan Fettis who is head of goalkeeping at Boro. Whatever way you look at it, tying a player down for the next 3 years regardless of the size of the club is surely a signal of intent that they seem something in the lad. I trust the management on this one and believe he is in as our new no1, as we will not carry 3 keepers.
  7. I guess we didn't want to do a spoiler on the away top hence the slight kit clashing tonight
  8. It seems the Israeli boy is already signed and sealed and just awaiting international clearance.
  9. I can see Robinson being shrewd with spend on wages. If Brophy was reported to be on what has been banded about, Fletcher would be on similar if not more. Would we sell on our highest earner to replace with another high earner? We have done very well so far with finding great players within our budget, with most recently Richard Taylor being a great example. I think If Brophy is to move this week, we possibly use his transfer fee and wage towards the boy McMennamin, if we can reach a realistic fee.
  10. Aye there deffo was a music shop next door or so to Graphic Hair when they were on one way system, then there was another at one point(could be same shop that relocated) next to the Hole in the wa'
  11. If there is an internal issue with Carson, I don't think it is good practice to say so in public and affect team morale. With regards to Baccus, if we want to protect ourselves from future transfers in, we can't show our hand to how much we are currently bringing in on transfer fees. It would just make other clubs think, 'oh you have that amount just came in, well stop fucking around with lowball bids and give us some of what you just brought in from Baccus'.
  12. Surely through goalie recruitment, Langfield has had a big say. We have done very well with goalies since Langfield took up the head of goalkeeping role.
  13. It's now saying in 'exclusive' report that fee is 275k with chunky add-ons https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/transfer-news-live-celtic-rangers-30265307
  14. I'm going to start a new figure. He is going for £999,999k. Pass it on.
  15. There is absolutely no evidence that he is being sold for 275k. None whatsoever.
  16. Jack Grealish signed a new deal at Villa then left shortly afterwards
  17. ....yet. There was interest in O'Hara, so there may still be some activity before the window closes.
  18. Exactly. And why would be accept a low ball bid so early in the transfer window when there is time ahead ?
  19. Why? No one outside the club should have any info on transfer figures
  20. If there was a significant sell on clause for us, you may get him closer to your predicted budget.
  21. There have been plenty of midfielders who have sold for significant values though? It's not always about goals.
  22. Look at John McGinn to Villa with one year left on his contract. Was it something like 2.75m+ add ons? I'm not saying we would get the same for Baccus, but you can't help but think we would be short changed if we accepted anything under 750k for a full international who featured at the World Cup and is a regular now in his national side?
  23. I think thats a couple of League One clubs in England been quoted to be interested in him. I'd very much doubt a club at that level will pay our valuation of the player (whatever that is). His international recognition should surely set us asking for 500-700k upwards based upon his remaining time on his contract.
