  1. I think the demand from away fans of at least the 'usual' top 5 clubs + Dundee would sell out with an additional few hundred seats installed. The issues I see though that side of the stadium is the fact that if you join on to W7 as mentioned above, there would have to be a segregation in place which would then lose some seats for a stewards line. If it was only one side where the scoreboard currently is, would it really be worth it also for the sake of an extra few hundred seats? It would take quite some time to make the money back spent on it being built.
  2. These games are always tight with very little goals. I do however think with our new recruits (including Olunsanya), we have a much more exciting feel about our play. Wee now seem to have a couple of options on how we are going to shape up as Sunday proved, dropping Mandron to the bench. Prediction: 1-2 Saints
  3. I've no doubt, at least the top 5 teams in the league and possibly Dundee would sell out the away allocation if we upped the capacity. The issue we have is the cost it would take to fill in one of the corners short term. I'm take a stab in the dark here, though I couldn't see a corner making more than 300-500 extra seats available with current layout.
  4. His pace was unreal, though he seemed to slow down too much at the decisive moment of pulling the trigger and got closed down
  5. This. Every other decision that had a decisive moment seemed to have a few minutes of scrutiny. This was a huge moment in the game and he's not bothered his arse to look at it properly.
  6. I know the game is done now and there's a list of strange refereeing decisions being debated, though why on earth did Miovski not pick up a yellow for goading W7 after his goal? Btw did anyone see what was happening on Ferguslie park avenue after the game?
  7. Always to date found through past experiences, Broadwood, all year round and Inverness/Ross County
  8. Yeah, recently had a takeover with huge ambitions. Now have Lafferty, Dorrans and Naismith on their books.
  9. We had some scouting platform partnership around that time, which opened up many possibilities for identifying players off the radar. Whether it was cost cutting or not, we found some bloody good gems.
  10. I didnae mind the old uhlsport Mitsibushi Motors sky blue number from the late 90s. One of my first strips.
  11. I've no doubt he will get some sort of game time, though when the manager speaks of another striker albeit a target man, it makes you wonder how many opportunities he will get, especially if we play a system that only has one striker or just playing off of.
  12. It is true. Still wouldn't be surprised to see the likes of Strain or Baccus potentially going before the window closes. If either one goes, I'm sure funds would be made available. Separately, no harm to Lewis Jamieson, though I just can't see a place for him in the squad with the players ahead of him. He signed that year's extension on the basis of being included and not loaned out, though you have at the very least, the likes of Grieve, McMenamin and Olunyansa ahead of him in the pecking order. Then when Ayunga is back he's further behind.
  13. Kenny Mclean to Aberdeen is a perfect example of what a step up to a bigger club in the league can do for your career. Move to Norwich City in the championship a couple of years down the line, Scotland caps and eventually a promotion to the Premier League. All at a similar age of that to Baccus.
  14. I cannae remember though did Paul Fenwick get it as tight as he should have for leaving us and signing for Morton?
  15. You been on the loony Facebook page yet? Pretty much confirms it
  16. Can't see us bringing in another goalie. Hemming was signed as No1 even with Carson here. We carried just Carson and Urminsky last season
  17. We have also freed the wage of a player who doesn't want to play for us. Could have let him go for nothing with a payoff and Dundee pick him up for free. When there is only one suitor, you can't be too picky about where they end up.
  18. Fling half the money at Strain to sign a 1 year extension and a gentelmans agreement to leave when a 7 figure fee arrives.
  19. Reality is, first and foremost we need a left back and a forward is in the pipeline. Before the window closes, if anyone unexpectedly leaves, such as Baccus, Strain or Ohara, then we will no doubt be needing to fill those voids too. I think Gogic's versatility helps cover at the back if used primarily as a midfielder.
  20. Agree. A player who has stated he 'doesn't want to be there', it is better for squad morale that such player is moved on. He was a huge asset imo before all of this happened, though its time to look forward. A transfer fee give us an opportunity to maybe strengthen our hold on other areas of the park we need looked at. I can't personally see us bringing in another goalie. Hemming was brought in to replace Carson and Urminsky played backup last season and should continue to do so this season.
  21. For me, Strain is as valuable as it was keeping Lewis Morgan beyond the summer transfer window and fortunately getting him back in on loan for the rest of the season when he moved to Celtic. I don't think he would sign an extension with us, though if there was any glimmer of hope of extending his contract with a wage increase and having a gentlemen's agreement he can be sold for 'X' amount next summer, that would be the perfect scenario. I do however think it's a flip between him going before this window closes or in the next window.
