  1. It would be great and not impossible to pick something up in the first home game leading into the game at Dens.
  2. I actually think the timing of the Rangers at home works for us. We need to get home form back on track and I think our 3 home results will be absolutely decisive on where we finish. We pulled off an out of nowhere performance vs Celtic last season at home and I cant see why we cant again if we rise to it. I get the fear of Rugby Park vibes for the away game at Dundee, where the big occasion gets to us. Hearts and Killie at home, I feel we have to come away from both with points.
  3. Has he not had something like 15/16 clean sheets? Thats a decent return for a goalkeeper and the season isnt finished yet.
  4. I think at the time when he signed for us, he had offers from clubs in Europe. I'm sure one day soon he would like to return to Cyprus and settle with his family.
  5. Where did i put him down? I think for what its worth hes been one of our most solid players this season.Ithink you have misread me.
  6. I'm just going on the basis that Main was offered less when a new deal was on the table as it was outside the wage structure. The club are looking at reducing the wage cap. They pushed the boat out for Gogic. I'm not saying he's not worth his wage, i'm just going by what has happened previously and from what ive heard.
  7. He's apparently our highest earner. I can't see us going all out to pay him more than what he's currently on. Gogic himself may only be willing to stay if we make europe also. Imo he would be offered a lesser contract just like Main was on reduced terms.
  8. Fun fact. He's the stepdad of St Mirren supporting DJ Ewan McVicar.
  9. Agree with this. Being 2-0 up and then going on to lose is criminal, especially in the manner we did.
  10. What a bizarre take on it. Having a go at the player for trying to win the ball whilst we were chasing the game. If anything he should more determination than Devlin to win the ball.
  11. We are there on merit, though I guess its when you put it into perspective the bigger clubs below us such as Hibs, Aberdeen with more resources. Apart from those two, there isn't a huge difference between the rest apart from possibly Livingston.
  12. Imo there was a shift in mentality as soon as SMISA took over in 2016. It's been progress each year since then and fromwithin, we are not accepting to being a bottom 3/4 club regardless of the budgets other clubs have. Tony Fitz publicly came out and believed we should have been aiming higher and he got laughed off for it. We have put more at it towards our budget over the last couple of years and we have added more home fans to our gates most notably post covid when all was meant to be doom and gloom.
  13. I think it's only natural he has been linked. Robbo alongside McInness have done tremendous on similar budgets lower than that of some of the teams around us. They have tried this approach already with Goodwin and it failed. They then employed from within and it failed and they have tried the tested veteran in Warnock and it has failed. I can see them either appointing a left field option from overseas or look at what is available down south within their budget. Gary Monk who was just appointed Cambridge manager wouldn't have been a bad shout imo.
  14. IF we were awarded it and IF we scored it at the timing of the incident, it could have well had a brighter outcome going in level at half time and chasing a winner second half.
  15. Was that during the game, half time or post match? I personally didnt think the shirt pull was a pen at all. Looking back at the replays it's a definite hand then head. They said during the game that the incident that VAR monitored was the pull in the box and they must not have looked beyond that, though the fact his arm was up next to his head, surely that moment should have been caught when they were trimming down the replay?
  16. Thats where he played im sure when he scored his last goal which was taken to VAR and it stood.
  17. The fact it was on Sky Sports as well, you would have thought there would have been extra scrutiny around the check. For a penalty claim you surely need to have more than 5 seconds on it to look at the play. a few seconds before and after 'the incident', which in this case they focussed on a potential pull in the box. Had they looked at it for a 2-3 seconds beyond that, they would have seen the handball. Huge part of our game that was missing was deliveries into the box from Tansner and dead ball deliveries into the box. Both were absolutely woeful. Neither right back could get a ball high enough into the box and Tanser couldn't get one decent cross in to anyone either. A lot of the deadfall stuff landed on Boyd-Munce and he just wasn't at it either. Saying all of that, to rescue a point late on after a frustrating night isn't an easy thing. We left our best chances of the game till the end and converted one of them.
  18. I'm with this completely. I think he's a great player and one that would have been outwith our reach on a permanent deal. No disrepect to the boy, though Celtic are constantly in the market for players and he will be pushed further down the order, so he is doing the right thing. He hasn't needed to up sticks and move elsewhere too. He's able to travel from Glasgow.
  19. I remember around 10-12 years ago, I was getting the bus home from a home game and a guy sitting across from me dressed in casual attire started chatting to me about the game. He revealed he wasn't at the game and was a fan of another team that joined with St Mirren casuals as he loved a scrap. Never went to the game, just joined in on the pre and post match stuff with the opposition. Don't know if that's still a thing though found it odd.
  20. 100% I personally know at least one or two who still can't take to him. I don't know if it's that they can't swallow their pride and admit they were wrong and take an opportunity like Saturday to use as an excuse to throw abuse again. His first full season, he got us our highest finish in my lifetime supporting the club and he is on course for another successful season if we keep momentum going. We were never sitting this high under previous management.
  21. It seemed to be ( i could be wrong) the Northbank boys who formed 7/8 years ago, set out to bring colour, visuals and atmosphere back to the club. As that part of the support gained a larger army of followers over the last few years, a minority casual culture seems to have connected its self to it, outwith NB1877s hands.
  22. Ryan Hardie for us = Terrible Shankland first spell = Tremendous - Second spell = Overweight/unfit and blowing out his arse. He then spent second half of season at Morton where he failed to impress also. Thats when he took the drop down a level to Ayr and the rest is history. Remember Rory Loy had two spells with us years apart. Barely featured first time, though an integral part of our first season under Jack Ross second time round.
  23. What cost us yesterday was not tracking one of the best strikers in the league. The space Kyogo had for the first should never have happened. He then went on to have another two opportunities only minutes later, left completely unmarked. Maeda, seemed like he didnt turn it on till second half. His pace was causing us bother and he eventually got a chance he tucked away. Other than the marking for the goals, I thought we played magnificent. It really is good to see a manager set out to win against the bigger sides, rather than sit back and hope to keep the score down, which we have witnessed many of times before Robinsons arrival. Setting out with an attacking formation shows that even though there will be a lot of tracking back when out of posession, we are ready to also cause them issues going forward. Baccus seemed to take a knock into the second half. Hopefully nothing too serious as we are as light as it is in the middle of the park.
  24. The QR code will only work once. Unless someone is at it and complaining to stewards their ticket doesn't work because of an 'error'.
  25. It annoys me that the some of the replays the ref is looking at on VAR are from such a distance. Focus on the up close. He deffo pulls out of tackle.
