I thought that 18 for you guys today was promising from the trialists. Strong physically and made clever decisions apart from the awful free kick. The rest looked below well below the standards I expected.

Every time Gardyne touches the ball we look dangerous. The Dumbarton left back might be getting all of the pelters but he is being left out to dry by the left winger who hasn't tracked a runner all game.

Unless he has dropped off massively then Gardyne should walk it at this level. I would be delighted with that move. If we could get him and also a big lump of a target man then we would be laughing.

As much as every fan shouts and screams for their players to take shots on as early as they can, I noticed that Falkirk seemed to take it to the other extreme and seemed to be shooting on sight from anywhere within 30 yards. Is this the way you normally play?

Burning draft capital this year moving up in both rounds so far to get my guys. Pretty happy with the results though.

Yeah it seems like the IDP side of things has taken a back seat, but I reckon that this years rookies look pretty poor offensively. The trade is a bit over the top but I wanted to get my homer pick over and done with before taking a back seat. Especially considering that Macbeast hasn't logged in to fleaflicker in 5 months so I'm expecting a big delay again.

Myles Jack was going to be my original pick at 1.07. No idea how he dropped so far in this class. I haven't seen an IDP draft this year he has got past the 10th pick.

Quite happy to pick up my 3rd rated rookie at 1.07.

Leaves the draft to be rookie only the way it is meant to be.

Are we having another FA period before the draft like we usually do?

Extremely happy with that. Clady was going to be a salary cut before the draft so to move up two rounds and get the extra cap space works well. He was brilliant in his prime but them days look long gone and he is fragile now.

My chances of being there for an in person draft are nil realistically.

I was a big fan of the IR spots as it allowed roster flexibility without potentially decimating your depth. The bigger the rosters the better as far as I am concerned, in a 16 man league then the free agents pool should always be shallow which should encourage better drafting and also more trade action.

Just packing my stuff now to head across to America to catch a couple of games. First stop is watching the unbeaten Panthers take on the Saints before going to see the Broncos (hopefully) beat the Raiders. Anyone that has been to a game Stateside got any last minute gameday tips?
