Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread

Always feel a bit sorry for Chris Kane , he scored one of the most important goals in Saints recent if not all time history, and all the credit for this goal which is also one of the most important Chris Kane has ever scored goes to the player who got the assist. -

If only he'd finished and put the ball in the net at Celtic Park after tearing their defence apart, he'd Potentially be a legend, or at least up their with Nich Dasovic, Dave Mckay, and Danny Swanson. -

Third last game in season 08/09 Saints filled behind the goal and had a section of the main stand. This was the game where Saints could have won the league at Dens if they won and Partick had lost, Saints were wining but Partick scored a late winner to pospone the celebrations another week, a goal which was celebrated more wildly in the Derry than in the Jackie Husband stand. -

Saints offer a service whereby they post tickets out to people I usually receive my ticket with the following days post here in Peebles even after a late afternoon call to the ticket office, obviously with the fact there is 4 extra days of no post, and it's the posties busiest time of year, Saints had to put in place an earlier than usual deadline for those wanting tickets posted out. As said above the joke is Dundee being not only stuck in the dark ages and being unable to offer any form of eticketing when non league clubs such as Peebles Rovers and Penicuik Athletic can offer such a facility, but also insisting on physical paper tickets rather than a turn up and pay cash gate for anyone with a last minute change of plans despite the fact the ground will be thousands short of capacity. P.s I have absolutely no idea why a club who recently celebrated the golden anniversary of their last major trophy win are so stuck in past and scared of adapting to the modern world. -

If James Grady had skyed it, sclaffed it, fell over his feet at Dingwall in 2007 could have changed the course of history for a few different teams. -
Rangers v St Johnstone 13/8/22

Heading through to this swithered for a day about whether or not it'll be worthwhile but bought a ticket earlier on, be first game I've seen this season and probably only one I'll see in August due to combination of work, being away on holiday, and a complete lack of motivation to travel to Perth for the Ayr game. At the end of the day if Saints loose ill get over it by the time I'm on my 2nd pint post match, however if Saints were to get a result and I missed it I'll regret not going for a lot longer. -

Lonely this Christmas playing on the tannoy when it's the 14th May says a lot about what sort of "organisation" Cowdenbeath FC are. -
They do yes, my postman delivers 6 days a week, however due to the fact is 2022 and not 1952 I am used to purchasing tickets online, to either print at home, or download to my smartphone to be scanned at the turnstiles. Do modern inventions such as PCs, Printers, Smartphones, and An Internet connection, not exist where you come from?

Tickets available to buy from tomorrow for the Dundee cup game, and from Friday for the Aberdeen league game, no online purchase facility available need to visit or call ticket office having been able to order tickets online for the match away to part time lower league Arbroath, it's a return to the old fashioned way for these matches away to clubs who are clearly both stuck in the past. -
That's an unbelievable stat. I can think of half a dozen times Saints have come back from 2 down to win since the 80s just off the top of my head. Please tell me about these occasions I assume you are talking about the Saints who have recently had multiple top 6 finishes recently, have recently won the Scottish cup and who regularly competed in Europe for a spell from 2012 -17.

I can remember bits about that game and day one of a good few drunken days enjoyed with Edinburgh Saints back in those days, it finished 2-2, Saints got a very late penalty and scored to make it 2-1 Partick kicked off and literally booted the ball up the park giving saints the ball back, I believe there is still a video somewhere on YouTube of highlights from that game featuring the very shouty easily excitable Partick tv commentator.

So is today the first time since 1972 that Saints have come from 2-0 to win a game? This post and the one on Twitter both mention coming back to win from a 2-0 half time deficit, so has there been an occasion since where either. 1.Saints were 2-0 down and got 1 or more goals back in first half before coming back to win 2.Saints went 2-0 down in the second half and came back to win. P.s If can anyone here remember a time Saints surrendered a 2-0 lead to loose 3-2

Imagine partaking in a pitch invasion to celebrate your massive brilliant huge big premier level club who have a huge big massive premier level support finely scrapping past a non league Obviously It's the Falkirk Bairns way
-
None available from the club and no cash gate, your only hope is finding someone locally with spares. Oh well I'll no be going to that game I'm watching Falkirk( who are a supposedly a big huge massive premier team with a huge big premier support) struggle against Linlithgow so I'm up for seeing a shock , oh well I might pop along to Firhill to see Partick v Penicuick
-
Are there any tickets still on sale for this hane, Bonnyrigg is just up the road from me and I've considered going to the game, I've looked online and it says ticket sales are closed but no mention of the actual words being " sell out" , so does anyone know if I can pick up a ticket somewhere for this game tomorrow

Do You Support Your Local Team?
Thomas_sjfc replied to ThePonderer's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Say someone who lives in Ayr/Kilmarnock/Perth and supports Ayr United/Kilmarnock/ St Johnstone despite the fact that a local non league/junior/amateur team play closer to their house, does that person really support their "local team" -
Roughly whereabouts was Hamilton's new ground built. Presumably around the top left corner where the Warehouse and large area of trees are.

Dougie Imrie scored with a freekick from the penalty spot for Celtic to put Morton 1-0 up, so Chick says anyway.

Searched on youtube under the following headings "Ibrox disaster song" "Ibrox disaster chant" and "Ibrox disaster chant Aberdeen" there were no videos of Aberdeen fans singing about the Ibrox disaster there was one featuring your Glasgow cousins singing about the Ibrox disaster, one video telling how Jock Stein helped out tending to the injured(how did the fans of class and dignity FC thank him) and one or two featuring tribute songs to the ibrox disaster. Still waiting on you providing me evidence of Aberdeen fans singing about the Ibrox disaster.
