  1. If you believe a lot of the stories about Stevenson, he was basically all but signed in the summer before Hibs offered him a last second deal. Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see him come in.
  2. I’m after two tickets for Foo Fighters at Hampden in June. If anyone knows of anyone selling please give me a shout.
  3. Lewis fucking Vaughan. The love I’ve got for that guy. After all he’s been through to be sitting on 10 goals and top of the scorers list in the Championship is testament to not only his character but his quality and intelligence on the football park. He’s not charging round the park or chasing the full back down, but when the time comes he’s finding himself in the right place more often than not. His third goal is a perfect example of his elite tier football intelligence. He sprays the ball out to Connolly from the left side then starts to run towards the box. As that brilliantly lifted, clipped ball from Connolly comes into him, Vaughan has sensed the space behind the centre half is available and already knows that Connolly has the ability to lift that ball over the defender and into him. He times his run into the vacant space perfectly. How many strikers in this league, at that point, try and take the ball on the chest and bring it down, then end up getting shown away from goal? Not Lewis Vaughan. Within the second it takes the ball to get to him, he’s sussed out where he is, where the goal is, where the goalkeeper is and the best way to get the ball into the back of the net. A sensational goal. I do wonder if we are beginning to see the evolution of Vaughan from tricky, nippy number 10 into just an all out goalscorer. There is no doubt he has, understandably, lost a wee touch of pace, but he certainly hasn’t lost any of his ability on the ball, touch, vision and now seemingly added an improved goal scoring ability to his arsenal. That’s him been back properly a year and it’s easy to just take him for granted but, although we didn’t get the result last night, watching him back to his best is honestly very deserving of just taking a wee step back for a moment and appreciating what we get to watch with him.
  4. Enjoyed the referee playing advantage when we should’ve had a penalty in the first half there. Never seen that before
  5. It’s not news though, is it? It’s not like Craig Levein is reading The Courier and finding out for the first time that Dylan Easton is out of contract.
  6. Barrowman saying all the right things there to try and alleviate some of the fan concerns around players possibly being snapped up on PCA’s or just simply losing them at the end of the season. We are an attractive proposition right now and that will work in our favour, I think. Would be great to get some good news on the contract front soon, whether that’s for the management team or some first team players. As for January, Tiffoney would be a brilliant signing but if he is going out on loan in January - and I’ve seen nothing to suggest he will by the way - he won’t be short of suitors. What will work in our favour with him is him being a Dundee player. I’d love us to get him in.
  7. I‘m not sure Dylan will be delighted to have been run through the Gollum filter for this image.
  8. I think Easton performs at his best when he’s got a manager who’s happy to put his arm around him and make him feel wanted, plus one who’s happy to let him play in that free role. He’s got all that in Ian Murray. I’m not sure Easton goes to a Premiership side and gets that sort of treatment. He’s loving it here and is playing the football of his career. All of that being said, this is probably his last crack at a really big contract, so if one was to be tabled for him, it’d be hard to turn down for him. He’s a young family to look after, which is the main thing for him.
  9. Just simply a sensational afternoon. I love this fitba’ team.
  10. This is what it’s all about, for me. Days like today are why you go. I’ve watched us lose comfortably at Forfar, Stranraer, Stirling Albion, Peterhead, Dumbarton, Stenhousemuir… the list goes on. Once every decade or so you get a season that makes it all worthwhile, and this season is exactly that. Cannot fucking wait to get up to Tannadice today and get behind the boys. A defeat is not a disaster by any stretch of the imagination, but lord knows what a win would do, not just to the points tally, but more so to the already steely mentality of this squad.
  11. The Vaughan interview actually makes it clear that it was Vaughan himself who went to the manager and asked to go out on loan to play, not us who told him he was going.
  12. Gullan just does not occupy the defenders anywhere near to the extent that Hamilton does. Hamilton never gives the centre halves a minute, Gullan and Smith haven’t bothered Arbroath at all. Not sure where the goal is going to come from.
  13. How the f**k has that not gone in the net? Incredible miss.
  14. What the f**k is Liam Dick doing there? Blatant penalty. Absolute tit.
  15. Great technique on the finish from Connolly. So happy he’s back fit and playing regularly again.
  16. For those with a fire stick, try the Ayr United channel.
