It’s just been incredibly unlucky. It’s not as if Ashcroft was coming to us off a period of inactivity, he’d played and played well for Dundee from about mid January up until when he joined us, so he’s been fit. As it stands, it’s not a massive loss as Watson has come back into the side and looked very, very good alongside Murray. It’s just whether or not those two can stay fit for the rest of the season that will be the main issue. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us offer Ashcroft a deal beyond the end of the season if he is free to leave Dundee, despite having another year on his contract there. Murray said we’d tried to sign him this season so I’m sure we’d still be keen for next year.

Spent his pre-match interview talking about us, then spent 90 minutes shouting at Ian Murray, was being held back from him at full time and then had an argument with John Potter after the game. Sounds like he’s pretty rattled to me.

Murray has clearly got Imrie extremely rattled. Given that’s no wins in 3 for Morton v The Rovers he should probably try being less rattled.
