The best thing about pre-season is watching all the diddy teams sweating about the duds that may or may not sign for them. I wouldn't wish Imrie on anyone, except new sevco, a complete and utter numpty. If you do sign him.......... Hopefully your cry baby manager doesn't read forums and signs him. I know... 44 quid spent yesterday and I've towed away a couple of beat up cars. This doesn't compare to GTA2? Give me a break, was a while ago, feels nothing like the original, I could be playing any shooter type game. Yes it's early days but I think it's going to be exchanged quite soon. I used the couch to 5K as well after reading a post advicing a novice runner to use it, I cannot believe how beneficial it proved to be. I'm a (ahemmm) mid forty bloke that had never run since leaving school and even then i hated running with a passion, I really didn't think i had it in me but the Lovely Laura changed all that for me. I didn't complete it in the 10 weeks due to a couple of colds and injuries but i did complete it and i am now running a whisker less than 4 miles ( I don't do metric) every other day. I actually look forward to my runs which is staggering considering how i felt previously, it really is all in the head, once you conquer your own self doubt you will be off and flying - or shuffling in my case. Anyway, just do it at your own pace and if you feel your not ready for the next week then repeat the current week. It's about getting there, not how long it takes to get there. Hope this helps any budding runners but i doubt it, just the ramblings of an old dud that is still questioning how it all happened.

Want to thank whoever it was that highlighted the Couch to 5k podcast. Never thought i could run that far, issues with boredom/motivation, but the podcast really kept me going. I had a couple of setbacks, cold and some sore muscles but took it easy at those points and got through it. I did some of the week runs more than once, more of a confidence thing but it worked and i got there. If you don't think you can run try it, it does work regardless of your current fitness level.

Balvenie, single barrel, 15 year old single malt. Have to say i've been saving this for 3 or 4 years now and i'm more than happy with it. Googled it and it's only selling for 46 quid or so, happy to sip it as i've nothing left in the house...............sad alky or what.....lol. Cheers
