Dees v St Mirren- the battle for European glory
Div replied to MarbellaDEE's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Always look forward to a day out in Dundee, it's an absolutely brilliant away trip! Completely different type of pressure in this one, it really should be enjoyable for both sets of fans with both teams going right at it. Home side are rightly favourites, in better form than we are, and absolutely pumped us up there last time, but we've got big players back and whilst I think we will certainly concede on Saturday I also fancy us to score at least one ourselves too. I'll go 2-2 with a last minute Toyosi equaliser sparking limbs in the Shankley, keeping us 2pts clear with 3 to play. -
I've cleared all our server side cache so hopefully that issue will be resolved. You're not the first to report that, so if it does happen to anyone after this message (Noon on Sat) please do let me know.

Morning! I've applied a micro-patch that sounds like it *might* resolve this issue, and I've also cleared all our cache. I've logged a ticket with the developers as well as there's some strange messages in the log files that aren't usually there. So, bear with me and hopefully I'll get this resolved.

The St. Mirren FC 2023/24 thread

I think that's fair. Whilst finishing top six is a good achievement there is still a sense of what might have been given that we've chucked away a huge number of points that we really shouldn't have. We've lost more points to Livingston than any other team in the division this season, failed to win in Dingwall and lost at McDiarmid Park against a very poor St.Johnstone side. No divine right to win any game but it's throwing away points like that (and of course the awful record against Killie) which has ultimately cost us a challenge for 4th. If we still get 5th and qualify for Europe it will definitely be a successful season but if we come up short again and finish 6th it's hard to be overjoyed. Suppose that says a lot for how far we've come but there's always the niggle that two of the bigger clubs being shit in the same season probably won't happen again for a good while anyway. -
Sorry I missed this last week. No issues that I'm aware of and we've not applied any updates in that time period either?

I'm not convinced they will, but we paid a six figure fee for a player last Summer. -

Be very surprised if Hemming doesn't join us on a permanent deal in the Summer. Appreciate he's under contract at Middlesbrough but he's well down the pecking order there, and I can't imagine they will be very hard to deal with. Zach absolutely loves it up here, and he's just bought a house in Houston so I guess whether it's sooner or later he sees his future as being up here. -
The main difference is that Platinum subscribers don't see any adverts when using the forum. They do also get minor perks like more storage on their account for messages and attachments, and the ability to change their display name, but the main crux of the membership is to remove the ads. Appreciate the subscription!

With Burrows at Aberdeen there will always be a chance that Robinson will feature on their list. I think the Goodwin failure would probably put Cormack off though. He absolutely cannot afford to get another appointment badly wrong and although it would be spectacularly unfair on Robbo, I think their fans would see an approach for him as just a repetition of the Goody mistake. Cormack doesn't have any goodwill in the bank these days, he can't have the fans agitated about the new appointment from day one. Same goes for McInnes - the majority of Dons fans would be furious if they went back in for him I reckon. Besides - why would either of those fine fellas be interested in trading European football for a year in the Championship? -

I went to the 1877 post game on Sat and was very slightly merry. When I left I bumped into Goga on his way to his car and I made it absolutely clear to him that he needed to sign a new contract. I might have also have kissed his baldy head -

The next week will tell us exactly where we are at. We really need to be looking for 4pts minimum against County and Aberdeen given the form of those two teams. Tomorrow night is the sort of game that has killed us a bit both this season and last. It's not going to be easy but if we want European football it's the sort of game we simply can't be losing. One game at a time, control the controllables and all that -
In short, no.

I can't see any possible reason why it wouldn't be downgraded to a yellow which I assume in turn will mean he will still miss the next league game (Livi Away) but would be available for Sunday.
