  1. What an absolute fucking clusterfuck. All because no mark LL teams with 8 fans and Old Firm daft chairmen want to bend over and spread their crusty, hairy arse cheeks to host their fucking B teams. Fuck off.

  3. There’s nothing in it for lowland league clubs but even less for the highland league ones. They would in effect be facing 7 southern clubs, that’s 14 gruelling unattractive away games in a season. How is travelling to Berwick on a miserable wet Tuesday night attractive to a club like Buckie? Why would any HL team want that grim and grizzly journey to East Kilbride in the middle of January? They’d also be kissing goodbye to all the highland rivalries built up over decades to instead play a bunch of reserve teams. The HL should as one be giving this atrocity the proverbial middle finger.

  4. Not surprised a Celtic fan is buzzin' about the SPFL's intervention here, your club (and your manky, ugly sister) will definitely be making a note of these events, trying to get half the stadium everywhere you go now.

  5. Great news for Rangers and Celtic fans that the SPFL now have set themselves a precedent for intervening in ticket allocation issues. It shouldn't make much of a difference to what happens on the park. We've beaten teams with bigger travelling supports at Fortress Ochilview already. We need to put Morton to the sword on Saturday (or hope Cove are up for it on Friday) so that the last game means something and it's in our own hands. Mon the Queen's!

  6. £ for £, Chelsea must be a top 5 worst team in the history of football, which, considering their fat Tory c**t of a manager, thick yank owner and disgusting, racist fans, is just very, very funny.

  7. I think this criticism of Lang's rashness is a bit of recency bias. It's undoubtedly there, and came to the fore recently, but there were months of this season where he was pretty imperious. You can't overhaul the squad every season. There needs to be stability and consistency, particularly in a defence. If you're not trying to keep guys like Tom Lang - who's a very good Championship centre half, at a good age - who are you trying to keep? We've spent large parts of this season struggling to field two centre halfs, let alone two good ones. Are we really going to go and bring in two or three central defenders from elsewhere who are better than Lang? I seriously doubt it.

  8. I’m sure plenty of observers would say that. It’s honestly not true. We’re just enjoying the ride. And if anything sets us back on the rails it’s our own administrators who continue to prove there’s still plenty of “amateur” left in us yet. What is exciting though is the new structure of the club. Everything that’s going on with the first team is to position the club better for making the most of the development side of the club. The commitment there is massive compared to what is visible. We’ve always been a good provider of new talent into the leagues but the people involved now are different level, way above anything else happening in Scotland including the OF. But of course for all that to bear fruit, we need a decent first team to pull it along and that’s what’s going on now. If we somehow get promoted, I assure you the predominant emotion amongst QP fans will be “how the f**k did that happen”. Quickly followed by “let’s go again!”

  14. We will look fondly back on the days where joining the pyramid was about removing the glass ceiling, only for the Lowland League and the SFA to put in place another glass ceiling. Now we have talks about changing licensing criteria for the SPFL and I would bet the new Conference League. Shameful from Thomas Brown and his lackeys and shameful from Maxwell and his lackeys (or should that be the OF and their lackey Maxwell?). Scottish Football really is the self preservation society.

  17. League 2 clubs thinking the conference is preferable is hysterical in its muddled thinking. The bottom 3 or 4 clubs in league 2 are way weaker than probably the top 5 in the lowland league. So a relegation to the conference would almost certainly be followed by another relegation the following season as they finish bottom of the conference. At which point they are 2 promotions from the league and probably an eternity of non league football beckons for them. Without the conference they are only ever one great season away from league status again. Berwick for example are harbouring realistic hopes of a return. The underlying problem is every club and i mean every club is only interested in their own little world and none really care about the overall health of the pyramid.

  20. Buckie Thistle already had a taste of it this season, traveling midweek to play Hearts B at Whitehill Welfare in the SPFL Trophy. Imagine traveling on a Saturday to play Celtic B at a largely empty Airdrie, hosting Aberdeen B the following week, then a trip to University of Stirling at an empty Forthbank. I bet it gets the pulses racing amongst the Buckie faithful.

  21. Tannadice is an awful stadium tbh and I’m not convinced if this game was anywhere other than Hampden that the ticket sales would even been as high as they are. The National stadium is a big draw, Tannadice really isn’t. Only Easter Rd or Tynecastle as an alternative MAY have drawn a similar crowd but the Hampden factor can’t be ignored for me.

  24. Weds night. King Cup 1/4 Final at the San Fergie, Rosewell. Whitehill Welfare 0 Lochore Welfare 1. In a poor game WW had what looked like a clear goal disallowed with the last attack of the game. The linesman was probably unsighted by the number of bodies on the line. I was about level with him but higher up, and had a better view than from pitch level, and it looked clearly over the line, especially as the goalie dived down and clawed it back before lying on it. However nobody could decide whether there would be extra time or straight to penalties. If it was the former, then even the WW faithful were reasonably happy to go home rather than face another stodgy 30 mins on a chilly night.

  25. A thing that gets me is how far this is flying below the radar. A sniff around even Rangers, Celtic and Hearts forums says it's barely registering, yet they're talking about every club below the SPFL being dropped down a tier just to make space for 3 or 4 B teams in the middle of the pyramid, in their own tier with invited guests. It's totally bonkers but people are talking as if it's a done deal, what can you do? The Daily Mail are doing the Maxwell message on MSM, and Thomas Brown on social media, but that's it.

  30. Of course the club are actively happy to sell KVV in the summer. Firstly, it's something we'd have never have budgeted for (getting money for a 31/32 year old who we got from Scunthorpe for hee-haw? Sign us up!). Secondly, as has been pointed out, it's what we do as a club. The only reason the last offer from China was KB'd was the timing. As far as I'm aware, the bid was bang in the middle of the selling prices of Moult & Kipre. The club couldn't/wouldn't take the risk of selling our main man when relegation was/is still a possibility. He'll go in the summer, and I can't imagine any Motherwell fan having an issue with it. He's certainly earned it.

  32. Went ahead and got the VIP tickets at the Nou Camp for the Atletico Madrid game on Sunday past, and I must say it went well above my expectations. Free food and drink for 90 minutes before and 90 minutes after, as well as premium seats inside the stadium. Only thing that was a disappointment was half time where we were directed to a lounge in the main stand only to be told that we had the wrong colour wrist band on, and by the time we got to where we were supposed to be it was nearly the start of the second half. Probably not something I will ever do again but for a one off or a special occasion I would definitely recommend it, very well treated by the staff and it does have the feel of a ‘VIP’ experience. My fear was that the price would leave a dampener on the occasion if we felt that it wasn’t value for money, but although it’s an expensive day out you got the feeling that the club/staff have went all out to do all they can to make it special. Got talking to guys from America, Finland, Italy and the Netherlands on the walk back to the Metro and all of them seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.

  33. The part of this ticket talk for the Dundee game that I’m not buying, is that the terrace behind the goal can accommodate 3000. The game against Patrick on 2nd Jan had an ‘official’ attendance of 1665. I was in the main stand and it looked close to full that day, so that’s say 600 QP fans, of the 1665 total. Meaning Partick had just over 1000. Here’s the pictures from that day of the potentially 1000 PT fans. There is no way that stand can take 3x the amount of folks in that picture.

  34. If club directors would prefer to play in the B team conference rather than the lowland league without B teams then that only shows the huge difference between a director and a fan. I don’t know anyone who would like to see our club drop in to a league where most of the games would seem meaningless. Indeed I know very few who would actually go to games. On the contrary a successful season in the lowland league could revive a club. You only need to look at Brechin this season for proof of that. Dropping in to a B team conference would be far more likely to lead to a clubs demise than dropping in to a decent lowland league where there was proper promotion and relegation at both ends

  35. I agree that there will be a part of this for L1/L2 clubs looking at Berwick, Cowdenbeath & East Stirlingshire and thinking we dont want a piece of that and if the conference get the go ahead will only have to beat 5 other teams to get promoted. For the OF, Hearts and Aberdeen they get to hoard onto players longer and start exerting pressure onto the the rest of the SPFL to open up for them to be promoted. And to answer and earlier point from the Cowdenbeath fan, the anger towards the LL clubs is that you all keep rolling over and getting you belly tickled and I will bet some ex SPFL clubs will be the first to apply to the Conference given their facilities leapfrogging over the get back to the SPFL. The whole thing shows how shameful Scottish Football is and is not about making it the best product it can be but for making money for those at the very top.

  36. Gatecrashing in here. I'm 100% against the Colt nonsense in the league completely. Our Leagues aren't perfect but one of the great things is the competitive nature of the lower part time level. That includes the junior clubs who've now got the opportunity to push on. Probably getting into conspiracy theory territory here but the continuation of making it harder for the ambitious, ex junior clubs or the current Lowland or Highland League clubs who've been spending money to progress their squad and facilities in a bid to make it into League 2 etc -has me convinced it's done to protect the current lower league sides scared of relegation out of League 2. Even without the Colts, another league simply isn't required? One already exists below League 2 . I'm no doubt missing some key details in all this as I'm not close to it but I just don't see the point!

  38. Any Dee demanding/suggesting that the game be moved to Hampden so we can get the number of tickets we need is being plain silly and should realise that QP would be handing us an advantage. If QP reduce the normal away allocation and sell tickets to their own support for that area then fair enough. If they reduce the away allocation and don't sell tickets for that section then I think we've every right to feel hard done by. If the league is won this Saturday (and IMO it won't be) then I'll happily stay in Dundee next Friday and have a party watching the Champions on the box. If it's not then I'll be trying like f**k to get a ticket. As someone else has suggested maybe Dundee should set up an event at Dens so our hard earned money goes into our own club's coffers

  40. Main leaving would be a bit of a surprise, and dare I say it a stupid move from him. Robinson quite obviously manages to get the best out of him, and we all seen the sort of performances Main was putting in last season; there wouldn’t have been a single St. Mirren fan disappointed to see him go based on those performances. He’s had a good year but he’s not irreplaceable, and although his work rate has been a factor in our success this season, he still lacks a bit of quality when it comes to actually putting the ball in the net. Would be sad to see him go but it wouldn’t be the end of the world imo.

  41. The thing that we never take into account is the the thing that practically limits the transfer fee - the fact that if we blocked a guy that's done *really* well getting a good end of career move for the the sake or 2 or 3 hundred grand (or a "hypothetical league position is worth x" argument), we'd be an even less appealing move for players that could be making more playing for a League 2 non-entity down south. In short, our "shop window" thing is our only real selling point and our (really good) track record there is worth more to us than hanging onto any particular player at the end of the season will ever be. If someone offers a few hundred grand for KVV in the summer, there is no way we're rejecting it.

  42. f**k off. Arrant nonsense. Money is always (unless, it seems, your are in charge of snp finances) a scarce resource. The caravan was (they say) bought for an election campaign tactic (that no-one else - even within the party - knew about) yet you already want to run its’ monetary usefulness for the party over three (THREE!) years??!? In your heid, was the Murrell’s’ grand plan to get maybe 10 years election campaigning from doing zero miles on a Dunfermline driveway, secure #Indy, and then they could disappear into the Kintyre sunset on an already 100% depreciated asset?

  44. she really is the c***s c**t For the avoidance of doubt, there are no safe and legal routes to the UK 1. you cannot go to the British embassy in your own, or any other country and ask for political asylum in the UK, there is no facility to apply for asylum outside the UK. 2. For 95 % of applicants, you can't travel legally to the UK then make an application once you get here. For most of Africa, the middle east, the non EU Balkans and Asia, you need a visa to visit the UK. This is not a daft wee card to fill out on the plane before it lands, that's only for citizens of other first world countries, The visitor visa is a 20 odd page document you must submit online with a non refundable 140 pound fee, you must provide proof of your address, your employment, bank statements and numerous other forms of personal information that white people rarely, if ever need to travel, ( they need this even if they wish to visit the UK just for a holiday) and must pass the genuine visitor test - look it up on google, it is a horribly racist and dehumanising examination of ones personal circumstances where the officer can decide, even if all the pre requisite criteria is met, that the applicants home situation is "not conducive to satisfy the officer that they intend to return" there are numerous examples of people, even those who were sponsored by someone in the UK being denied because of this. Also, stating that you wish to claim asylum would automatically have your visa application refused. Finally, Airlines are instructed to check the visa's of nationals who require when they check in to an inbound flight to the UK, so 99% of the time you won't be allowed to board an aircraft, let alone get refused at the UK border. in other words, there is no such thing as a safe & legal route to claim asylum, even someone who successfully gets a visa & takes a flight here has had to lie on their application therefore also making them an illegal immigrant. but but but -they have to pass through safe countries.... doesn't matter! the UN charter on refugee's states that frontier nations should not be solely responsable for housing those fleeing war and persecution. therefor we have an obligation to help just as any other relatively isolated nation does. Beside we had absolutely no problem in opening our doors to Ukrainians. These c***s really need emptied as soon as possible, It's no longer a case of them being unpopular with many, they are actually dangerous and desperate. They have nothing left in the tank, the place is falling apart with them in charge and all they can do is pander to the lowest in society. it's actually fucking scary.

  45. Title decided and 1st and 2nd places guaranteed, so every Rangers and Celtic game from here on in basically meaningless. Aberdeen in pole position for 3rd but not guaranteed, and the four remaining top six sides all vying for European football (including St Mirren who are pretty much having their best league season in a generation). In the bottom half, 5 of the 6 could all realistically still end up in the relegation mix but, so very predictably, Sky opt for dead rubbers to appease the masses of the bigoted two, to the detriment of the supporters of the other ten teams and the games where the actual drama will lie. Lots of games with lots still at stake. f**k Celtic, f**k Rangers, and f**k Sky and their contempt for the rest of the entirety of Scottish football.
