  1. Cheers guys. Never went that badly. Other stuff has so not been around. Thanks.

  3. Am I right in thinking that with 8 games to go, Dundee United were marooned at the bottom of the league, unable to buy a win? and now, are on an unlikely winning streak that looks like it may save them?

  4. The difference between the FFP and the Courier is night and day. The FFP, as above, have just been recycling a video we all watched on YouTube a fortnight ago. Craig Cairns at the Courier is at least present at a fair number of press conferences. I think he's got a shared brief across the whole of Fife and (understandably, to be fair) he's been at more Dunfermline games than ours over the past couple of months, but he was at Cappielow on Saturday. Building on the good work of Alan Temple before him, you can see the legwork that's going into it. He's not exactly uncovering Watergate, but he has his patch and he's working it. The same can't be said for the FFP.

  6. I would like KVV to get a move to team in the Netherlands so that he can return a hero to the country that shunned him and forced him to play in Scunthorpe.

  8. You’re certainly not giving the impression you know the first thing about investigations anyway. Without commenting on the specifics of the investigation (which I have no insider insight into) Fraud and financial crime is amongst the most complex types of crime to investigate and prove. Its no where near as simple as you seem to allege every time you make a jibe about apparent police incompetence. The search and most probably the entire investigation will be led or directed by a fiscal. Warrants such as those executed must pass through a senior police officer, a procurator fiscal and a sheriff to establish the parameters, limitations and reasons for the search. 3 weeks is no where near enough time to review years of financial data and conclude an investigation, especially if they need to then look at further bank accounts/premises or financial information. Every bank account is a separate warrant, every credit card is a separate warrant, every premises is a separate warrant. You can sound off in the echo chamber of ‘the polis are pure shite because they’d get this done on the bill in 45 minutes’ but really just makes you look like you havent got a clue what you’re talking about.

  9. Have we considered loaning him to an upward looking English Premier League team for a fee? Call it £5 million. Chump change to a team like Newcastle.

  10. I certainly wasn't in favour of Barry Robson being made permanent manager when he first took over the interim role, and posted that he would definitely not be made manager. Given the run he's got us on, he must be given the job before we come back for the post split matches. Seven wins in a row, including against the second and fourth placed teams, five points clear in third with five matches left, the first team in the Premiership to have five clean sheets in a row this season, eight matches since we lost a goal that wasn't a penalty. F*ck*ng hell, we must give him the job, now.

  11. That’s not what you said though. A political party cannot pass a bill. The Scottish parliament passed the bill. With a decent majority including 25 yes votes from parties outwith the coalition. Including 3 of your precious tories. No amount of your Latin italics and childish pseudonyms will take away from the fact you’ve made an arse of yourself. Again.

  13. Agreed. In fact I’ve got to say I think the atmosphere at Dens has been really good this season and a lot of credit has to go to the South East Section. I can remember a good few seasons in the Championship / Division 1 where there were hardly any games where there was any sort of atmosphere.

  15. I’m in a bit of bother over a motorhome I ”acquired”. Police are now involved. I forgot to mention anything to my wife. I’d bought it through a company I was involved with but left it parked outside my maws. Any advice on how to “leave” the country and meet up with my true love Michelle on her yacht when the police have confiscated my passport?

  16. There's loads to play for in terms of European qualification and the relegation battle, so delighted to see all Sky's picks are ignoring that shit and focusing on Celtic and Rangers

  17. I really shouldn't be surprised but to have no coverage of the Aberdeen and Hearts potential run for 3rd and ZERO relegation games covered just to cover dead rubber games sums up Scottish Football. Abysmal.

This was a bit of a shock to me, perhaps something we need to keep an eye on - as we dont want this behaviour to become normalised.................

  20. I would prefer the final Celtic v Rangers match to be a 5.30pm ko, the day before Charlies coronation, simply so we could showcase the "unique atmosphere" of this historic fixture to the world............................. eta - I know this is impossible, but the pandering to this pair is pitiful.

  22. To which they should be told to bolt. There surely cant be any legal way they can force a new league to be inserted at a mid level. It’s actually outrageous. Get these b teams out now. England have a successful conference without a b team in sight. Every other Scottish club should be stepping in to stop this with the utmost urgency. It’s ruining the pyramid.

  23. If we're stuck with a 12 team league, then the split is actually a reasonably exciting way to end the season - but the way that SKY picks the games makes it much worse for tv viewers. Taking Rangers away to Hibs instead of Aberdeen away to Hearts is just a joke.

  24. Might not mean a lot now but he went from a part time Ayr team in the second tier to Liverpool's first team within a year and won a European cup. The fact he isn't in the Ayr United hall of fame is bizarre.

  26. It was a huge mistake by the LL clubs to allow the B teams in for a season. "It's only for one season, honest guv" . Aye Right- phase one complete. Several LL teams were absolute mugs. Phase two is the Old Firm engineering a tier 5 ten team league where clubs get £40K a season. As sure as night follows day the Old Firm once this abhorrent league is allowed will start their campaign to promote the B teams into tier 4 ......then once there, another campaign to tier 3. The Old Firm and their facilitators ( The SFA ) using the old divide and conquer approach will pick off any opposition one by one using threats, intimidation and promises. The teams and leagues from tiers 2 to 10 must unite and tell the dark forces that Scottish Football clubs are not going to be steamrollered. Bin the B's !!!

  27. Women's Champions League semi-final 1st leg as Wolfsburg Frauen hosted Arsenal Women at the Volkswagen Arena. Wolfsburg 2-0 up after 24 minutes and seemed to be cruising. Arsenal got a goal back right on the stroke of 1/2 time. 2nd half was a bit of a stuffy affair, Wolfsburg unable to kill the game off. Arsenal with a deserved equaliser in the 70th minute. 22.617 in attendance which was about 2.000 more than the Wolfsburg mens side had at their game the previous week against Leverkusen. (realise there is a difference in cost / standing of the Wolfsburg women's team in German Frauenfussball, but even so).

  28. They should also consult with supporters' groups. I would not renew a season ticket if entering a 10 team league which included four B teams and would not attend any of the proposed 8 home matches involving B teams. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one, so how much income would they lose from supporters? I would rather attend matches in lower tiers.

  29. Wos/Eos/Sos clubs being thrown to one side again. Making it harder & harder for ex junior teams to climb the pyramid. All about self preservation for L2 clubs, must be scared to death of the new comers.

  31. A 10-team league with 4 B-teams in it who can't be promoted/relegated meaning you could have a top 4 of B teams and then 5th getting promoted to League Two or a bottom 4 of B teams and 6th getting relegated to the Lowland/Highland League? Also, a 36-game season where the clubs are playing B teams 16 times? I know there's been some awful ideas over the past few years in Scottish football but this one is even worse. What a joy for the Lowland/Highland League champions to get promoted into this dire league...

  32. Exactly. I'd believe Brown is absolutely havering before I believe L2 are solidly behind the conference idea. Maybe I'm overestimating the combined wit of L2 chairmen but the conference just sounds utterly horrific and if we were relegated, I'd rather play in the Lowland League, which is also a fucking joke now that colt teams are in. If East Fife voted for this, I'd be done with them.

  38. Aberdeen should tell Rangers to GTF, & hang up the phone. Until that mob stop singing about being “up to their knees in ****** blood”, denigrating 1.3 billion people around the planet, then they can f**k clean off. They are laughable & a joke figure of a club. ”No-one likes us, we don’t care”…. But if the bad boys say something nasty, we’ll go running to our fanboys in the press, f**k off Rangers

  40. Köln (W) 0-2 Frankfurt (W) - 38,000 at the RheinEnergieStadion - which I believe is some sort of record. Local beer Kölsch priced at a reasonable €6,50, €2 of which you get back for returning the cup. A decent enough game but an absolutely stunning ground. Then a train to Mönchengladbach before getting a bus - which was free with the ticket - up to Borussia-Park for Borussia Mönchengladbach 0-1 Union Berlin. Big screen in the beer garden outside of the stadium to watch the earlier kick off, then into the ground with a few more beers and some currywurst (which was unreal) - safe to say they’ve absolutely nailed the fan experience in Germany. Would recommend it to anybody, although I had quite a sore head this morning and had to watch the highlights back to find out what actually happened!
