  1. If you're in charge of deciding the audience on "Question Time" and you regularly share and like posts by actual Nazis, that's fine. If you host "Question Time" and your husband is making a fortune in deals with the Tory Party, that's fine. If you actually run the BBC and you're best mates with Boris Johnson, that's fine. If you present a show about a bunch of blokes kicking a ball around and think that it might be nice if the government stopped being massive racists for a bit, SHUT THE f**k UP, TROTSKY!

  2. If he works for BBC News, his political views are an issue. If he mentions his views on air, his political views are an issue. As neither is the case, the BBC should mind their own fucking business and stop pandering to the breathtaking hypocrisy of the "you can't say anything these days" mob who have suddenly discovered they like Cancel Culture after all.

  3. I just find it mind boggling that the people who run our game can't see why this is a terrible idea. They are completely hell bent on their mission to propel Old Firm B teams into the system at the expense of actually having a fair and entertaining Scottish pyramid system with loads of proper clubs trying to make their way up the leagues. They'd rather rile the Scottish football supporters who are the heart and soul of the game to appease Celtic and Rangers. I'm seething tbh. We are on the cusp of having something really great and the so called professional authorities of our game won't make it happen. A bunch of absolute wanks of the highest order.

  8. So it’ll be a 10 team league with 6 b teams who cant be promoted or relegated, does that mean that it’ll be the lowest placed real team relegated even if they somehow finish 4th? Or will there just not be any promotion or relegation if its a b team in 1st or 10th place? This is basically an attempt to stop the established clubs from being relegated isnt it? Well done to the fucking muppets in the Lowland League who bought this shite ‘it’ll only be one year’. Shower of gormless gimps. You’ve fucked it for everyone now.

  9. Absolutely mental that he is taken off air for calling the Tories out, when less than 24 hours ago, Fiona Bruce was firefighting on behalf of Stanley Johnson's wife beating. The BBC is an absolute fucking cesspit

  10. 10 for Friday. Brain cells were told in no uncertain terms that a big score was needed to get in the promotion mix. Proud of them.

  12. The Dutch cup once had PSV colts v PSV... Thankfully the colts got removed from the cup, but unfortunately they are still in the league. In terms of this plan, get it in the bin and put fire to the bin, then kick the burnt out bin far into the deepest part of the ocean that there is no chance of it ever getting back. Absolutely atrocious stuff.

  14. Just Rangers and Celtic. I have respect for fans of all the other clubs who rejected their pish and the superiority of lording it over fans of clubs with one hundreth of their budget. Particularly the following Weegie clubs - Thistle Clyde Hamilton St Mirren Motherwell Ayr Killie Morton It would be so easy for those guys to support the Old Firm due to their locality or close locality to Glasgow. It's the 3 actual Weegie clubs I have the most respect for - St Mirren, Thistle, QP.

  16. Hoose, Give your local police office a call, let them know that you’re aware that there is a warrant for you and that you intend to surrender yourself, you can arrange a time with them to hand yourself in. Also let your solicitor know so they can attend the office as well. Make sure that the police are aware that you are on medication and want to bring it with you, they may say no to that but request that they call the on call doctor who can dispense medication to you at the station. Try and arrange a time as late as possible to cut down your time in the station but don’t leave it too late as you may miss the court cutoff time for appearing the next day. I was a Police officer until I retired a few years ago but practice may have changed in the time that I have been retired.

  17. This is fascinating now. I'm a big fan of the BBC in terms of its remit and its funding model. I think it does amazing things and is remarkably good value. In its current guise though, it's hideous. It used to be that the word craven was only relevant in this context with regard to Newsround. Nowadays though, it's disgracefully cowardly, with genuinely right wing nasties at the helm. I don't actually want this nonsense to hasten the end of the institution. It needs to change though, and nothing shows that better than this hypocritical shit. Well played to Lineker and those making a stand alongside him.

  19. I’d say it’s on the mindset of guys in Fraserburgh who get on a supporters bus every second weekend, which drives by Peterhead, Aberdeen, Montrose, Arbroath, 2 clubs in Dundee etc., probably pay an extra grand over their season ticket price at least and then try to justify it with the standard OF fan trope of a family connection to Glasgow playbook. It is not unique to our country to have a sizeable glory hunting element. What is unique is the political and religious cancer that gets a guy in Fort William doing a 6 hour round trip to watch his team do the equivalent of nutmegging a wean at a family BBQ and celebrating like he kippered Messi.

  20. The message coming across loud and clear here is that it's fine for BBC presenters to air their views outside of the workplace, but on the strong condition that it fits the right-winger narrative. Andrew Neil on the other hand?. Consistently posting right-wing and climate change conspiracy material via Twitter whilst working at the BBC as one its most prominent political presenters (whilst also being the chairman of the Spectator), but avoided any significant criticism. In the end he became a columnist for the Daily Heil, this of course being one of the papers calling for Lineker to be sacked for doing the same thing with a different subject. Top level hypocrisy.

  23. Was chatting to my mate during the game at Parkhead last night (which tells you how tame the atmosphere was) about how almost family-friendly our visits to Celtic Park have become. Used to be it was a proper riotous affair with folk chucked out left, right, and centre (to be fair, often for hee haw) and real bite to the atmosphere. Last night had absolutely nothing about it. It was dead. Even when Hearts were ahead and level, it never felt like the result was in any doubt or that anyone really cared. It was all just going through the motions. Fair play to the Celtic fan in grey who got himself wound up enough to take the most obvious bait ever and get himself chucked out. One of few interesting things to happen all night. It's just a reflection of what the fixture has become. Essentially a waste of time. It was funny passing thousands of Celtic fans on the way to and from the train thinking 'why the f**k do you come and watch this every week?'. The Hearts end for Pittodrie the weekend after next is sold out, and that's going to be a great day at the fitba. Games against the Old Firm by comparison are just something to get out the way. I can't see a sustainable future in this.

  25. Just to clarify, my team has voted against the B teams on both occasions. This season only underpins our feelings. Whilst last season, the 'novelty' factor brought out the crowds, this year has been a joke. The Rangers match saw a few turn up but the Celtic game was literally only parents, perhaps due to the big team playing at 5.30 that night. I am still of the unequivocal opinion of 'Get them to f**k'.

  27. BBC have shat the bed here, they can no longer spew out that they are impartial(they never have been) when they are censoring what their "employees" say away from the work place. Lineker has quite rightly told them to get fucked and I'm sure he's happy e ough with his decision.

  30. Get this all so far to f**k. Of all the things about the pyramid that needs - like less play-offs, easier progression, bigger leagues etc. - this is so far down the list of priorities. B teams getting the jump on teams like Talbot, Bo'ness, Linlithgow etc. is a complete piss take of what the pyramid is supposed to do. Fed up with these c***s continuously bending over to what the OF want when it's a detriment to the rest of Scotland - in particular teams below tier 5 who might want to have a shot at making the SPFL.

  31. And as if by magic. A shite keeper can bring a whole team down. Look at Dundee Utd. We've struck it really lucky over last few years with Hladky, Alnwick and now Carson so delighted he's staying another two years. This will take him to 37 so gives us plenty opportunity to find his eventual replacement in the meantime.

  34. Jeez that proposal is utterly grim. Will be absolutely furious at my club if we’re planning on putting a B Team in there. Even ignoring all the ethical issues, we’ve had to call of a substantial number of reserve/youth games this year due to lack of bodies due to injuries/youth international caps so I have absolutely no idea how they would reckon they could manage 30 odd games. This really is a complete nonsense and has to be stopped. Sure the players of Brora/Brechin/Buckie/whoever will be salivating at the prospect of travelling down to the central belt 10 times a year to play in front of parents of youth players.

  36. There was this, absolutely. The atmosphere was tremendous. I used to take an inflatable banana to games with me and waved it around. The players all signed it when I was a mascot. But as a kid one memory I have is the Brockville bogs. Basically pishing against a concrete wall with a very shallow trough. A single bare bulb illuminating the place with all of 20W. Freezing water from the taps. The smell will live with me forever. It was a wonderful place.

  37. A pre-match scene from Boghead Park in season 1971/72 with a healthy-looking crowd reflecting our (successful) Division Two title challenge (note however the minks climbing over the Silverton End fence in the background). The structure in the background to the right was the DFC Social Club, which was previously the workers' canteen during the construction of the Forth Road Bridge. It was spotted lying in a field by our enterprising Chairman Robert Robertson and was picked up for a song, as it should have been as it was basically reworked railway carriages. Happy days.

  39. That fan vlog thing really isn't any better for showing the ball going over the line. I watched it on 0.5 speed and the linesman seems to give it whilst Kinnears body is still moving. And his legs are curled round the ball. If anything, what that video shows is that we don't know, and the linesman guessed. But I think tbh that's pretty much the consensus of where we all are with it anyway So with all of that said, I'm going to file it under horrific, title snatching injustice proving beyond doubt the anti Falkirk agenda that runs through every level of Scotland, from the Government down.

  42. According to Catch Up on Twitter who always seem in the know with this. "National Conference league - from next season or season 2024-25. - 10 teams - 4 B sides (Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts, Rangers) plus Highland/Lowland League teams. - Tier 5, below League 2 and above the Highland/Lowland League. - B teams can't be promoted. - Not SPFL governed" .Big thanks to the Lowland League teams who voted in the B teams in 2021 and the clowns that said was only for 1 season. Fucking idiots...

  43. I’m going to ignore your nonsense comparison as I’m sure if you had the time again you’d come up with something better. Im sure you’re not a bad guy, but I do believe you’re very much part of the problem. We are not talking about a small minority of factors, which every support has. We’re talking about a support, particularly the away support, that prides itself on being as obnoxious and odious as it possibly can. A club that knows its demographic, knows why it has such a large following across the Irish Sea and wouldn’t dream of risking losing that base. If you really find the behaviour disgusting then you should very much be embarrassed by your football club. It is a poison. And there are the scum that directly contribute to it being poison, and there’s the non-bigoted, decent guys who either bury their head in the sand or wash their hands of it because they like following a big team.
