  2. It's 2240, the game finished an hour ago. Still waiting on this incredible Falkirk bench.

  3. I think we can all save ourselves a lot of hassle later by all just signing this open letter to the Celtic fans, and we can fill in the details later. Dear Celtic fans, You're absolutely right. Celtic were breathtaking and (insert player name here) really is world class. Furthermore, Hearts are indeed a bunch of hammer throwers whose only intent was to injure opponents, mainly because Neilson is a bitter *** b*****d. You're quite right that (insert number here) Hearts players should have been sent off and the referee was absolutely right to give Celtic (insert contentious decision here) and completely wrong not to give Celtic (insert anything you like here). We can all agree that the referee gave Hearts everything all evening. We all agree that Celtic are really good and we are all very, VERY impressed. (Up)Yours in sport, Hearts

  4. The actual nick of the wee jakebaw in the chinos. Morton celebrating the "gaffer didn't shake Sean McGintys hand cos he has scored and assisted and rattled us so much" trophy is astonishing

  5. Aye there’s a few wee Falkirk bams appearing on that page, surprised the admin hasn’t cleared them out. If it was just banter fair play but a mock up of Norrie with a gas mask on, couple of gimps from Sheffield trying to get a bite. Noticed a Pars FC page appeared on twitter with some drivel about Craig Gowan’s, it’s pathetic. I don’t know about the families of both players and if they attend matches still but I bet they absolutely dread this fixture. The wee bams probably weren’t born when either passed away, definitely not Norrie anyway. I was speaking to my wife about it last night and both said it happens in everything now due to social media. If it’s Pars V Falkirk, Catholic V Protestant or Labour Vs Tory it’s just a platform to be a bellend behind a keyboard and get away with it.

  6. I have to disagree with this. I think the game has captured the imagination of many Scottish football fans - for example myself, who isn't a supporter of either club but is going along for the occasion (and the bridies). The SPFL are absolutely useless at promoting our game. This was a golden opportunity to beam a third tier game with a near sell-out crowd not involving either of the Old Firm on the TV to show a wider audience that - yes - there really are people out there who don't support Celtic and Rangers, but support their local team instead. If the SPFL had any vision they would have been on the blower to the BBC asking if there was any chance that it could be shown on one of their channels. I don't think it matters that it's Scottish League 1, the atmosphere should be great and the title race is an exciting one. I think any proper football fan will appreciate that.

  17. 1. I’d love it if it turns out the ball didn’t cross the line. 2. What a crowd, things got a bit quiet whilst things got a little scrappy in the 1st half but as soon as we set a marker in the 2nd it was bouncing. 3. McGlynn had no idea how to react to that and every change he made played into our hands. 4. f**k the scum who latch onto this fixture, don’t care what end you sit in, f**k off. 5. Is Matty Todd single or at least open to polygamy? Asking for 7000 friends.

  18. Also, Sean McGinty sarcastically applauding the morton fans at full time after strolling the game and scoring. A wee raging Dougie Imrie. Pleasing.

  21. All these fans of other clubs it feels like a big Scottish football reunion in here. Everyone has come out to the smoking area to watch the two family disappointments have a scrap. So long as we bust Falkirk’s nose and send him down the steps tho cos we’ll be damned if we’re gonna be the disappointment.

  24. That picture to 'prove' that the Celtic foul was inside the box (that actually proves otherwise) is following the same online life as the infamous still of the offside decision at Tynecastle earlier this season. On that occasion, every Celtic account imaginable on Twitter was posting a still image (where you couldn't even see the ball being played) that purported to show a Celtic player had been deliberately and wrongly flagged offside by the masonic linesman in order 'to give Hearts one last chance to throw the ball into the box'. Of course, a subsequent image (of the whole pitch) showed that the offside call was quite correct. In that case none of the Celtic accounts with thousands of followers, likes, retweets etc of the incident decided to post the image showing their error, or to even acknowledge it existed. You'll still see the incident listed by Celtic fans citing the evils of refereeing this season. The Celtic accounts get in early, they share to thousands of people, and they misinform. They are textbook Trumpists, and they absolutely never go back and correct the record when they are wrong. The laws of the game are neither here nor there. The Celtic narrative of these decisions is now established, and has moved indelibly into history and lore to feed the paranoia of the future.

  26. Celtic to win 3 nil at a canter, Celtic fans to expect anyone else to care and get angry at not getting enough credit for being much better than us.

  27. Gotta hand it to Falkirk though. After the 2nd meeting they were poor and 7 points behind. Since then, they have found a solid, consistent shape. They’ve signed outstanding players for this level giving them the best starting line-ups they have had in years and a very strong bench to mix things up. While we’ve not been at our best, they ended their Airdrie hoodoo and went on an incredible run of form - putting teams to the sword and growing a backbone not seen in a Falkirk side for a long time. The progress McGlynn has made in this side in the past couple of months has been remarkable! And after the 3rd meeting they are 8 points behind

  28. Right, Bairns, What is going on? That is twice you have had me fooled in here. Aw this optimism and how you're a changed team and your bench is full of game changers!? I mean this with all the respect due from a fan of a fellow decent sized club in a similar situation.... You. Were. Shite.

  31. Last two games are incredibly frustrating as we should’ve won at Raith and I think we deserved a point on Saturday. That was brilliant tonight though. It was touch and go at times but once Dipo got his goal the second half was a breeze at times. That was the best he’s played since Dundee or QP at home and it looks like he’s only going to get better with Magure up along with him.

  33. An utter embarassment from us yet again. Quite why we don’t have a single person at our club who is able to walk onto a grass pitch and determine if it is playable or not more than an hour before kick off is beyond me and complete amateur stuff. The club deserve every single bit of criticism they are getting here and Stirling fans have every right to be pissed off. It would’ve been clear early doors that the pitch may be an issue.

  34. You can argue back and forwards about Vertainen and whos right and whos wrong, but thats now 2, young, players who've talked about being happy to be away from the club with one hinting and the other outright saying they were made to feel unwelcome by the manager. Thats my main takeaway

  37. Absolutely brilliant, I honestly love this team so fucking much. Absolutely woeful in the first half and yet kept it shut at the back McPake changes it again and wins the game. Hope McGlynn is as salty in his post match interview tonight.
