New Dundas Park for Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic V Forfar Athletic. 1-1 744 in attendance. Ticket £12 patg Programme £2. A battle of a match between the Rose and Forfar. A deserved point for both teams in front of a very good crowd for a Tuesday night. Forfar took the lead with a penalty in a tight contest. Rose had a call for a penalty soon after but the very fussy referee waved play on. Rose saved a point three minutes from time when a free kick was prodded home by number 9. Rose had the ball in the net in injury time but the linesman had his flag up. Enjoyable even.6 points

It's impressive how many bizarre tactics Dick will try before he would even think about just playing Linn all the time. LD centre mid, Henderson, Craigen & Hetherington left mid. Anything to avoid sharing the limelight I guess lol6 points

Should be an easy win for Falkirk but you never know with football being a funny old game. The bookies are offering 10/1 on a Peterhead win which sums up our chances. Falkirk to win this one and go on to win the league if they beat Dunfermline next Tuesday.6 points

Played The Carrick at Loch Lomond on Sunday in magnificent weather. They hosted an open stableford competition called a ‘membership stableford’. Entry fee was £20 - a complete steal for that course. For your £20 you got entry to the competition, a bacon roll, tea or coffee, prizes for 1st to 3rd places, a closest the pin prize, long drive prize, and the use of a locker with your name on it… twenty quid. The ‘membership’ thing was that while eating your bacon roll, a Cameron House staff member gave you membership details and went through some discounted membership options with you. No heavy hard sell, if you were just there for the great deal, the lassie just left you a brochure and let you crack on. The course was fantastic, I was hitting the ball well, but the par 4s were a drive and still 220 yards to go. Par 5s for a mere mortal 11 handicapper like me. Never threatened the prizes in any way, shape or form. Can recommend keeping an eye out if they do this day again in Feb 2024. Took a photo from the spectacular steeply downhill Par 3 14th hole. I hit a cracking rescue club pin high, but three yards wide to the left of the green. Landed between the two bunkers to the left on my photo…Looked feckin’ ace as it majestically sailed through the air though… before tailing off. The basturt’..6 points

Welcome back @johnnydun Dundee - Scotland - Trophies - 4 wooden spoons Thanks for rejoining, you have now been entered into the league, you will start in the 3rd tier (Last Chance Saloon Shootout) The League - Runs from Mon to Fri, each day a link will be posted by the first person to do the quiz for that day, therefore if you come on to post your score and you are the first for that day out of kindness, stick a link in your post. Also, say which day you are posting, easier for myself. If you missed a day or two you can catch up using the http://quizoftheday.co.uk/archive/ Your final scores for the week, usually have to be in by midday on Saturday, however I'll remind those folk on a Friday, before I head out to the disco to bed. League tables are posted on Wed/Thu and Sat. If you're in the top 3 you will be promoted automatically, coming 4th you're in the playoff, which will be held on that same day. This is always a well constructed question to the highest standard possible. . Weekly Cup - This runs along side the league, you don't need to do anything extra, you will enter this cup if you are in the top 3 of any league. Sometimes there is a playoff question, this question is always about football stadium capacities. Diddy Cup - This runs along side the league, you don't need to do anything extra, you will enter this cup if you are one of the 12 worst players from the previous week Random Cup - These cups pop up now and again, which are put together by one of the league members. At the moment we have just started a six nations cup @The Hologram is running at the moment, you may be too late to join. It's all rather easy to follow, just remember to keep posting.... gifs are welcome and the unwritten rule @Jacksgranda is not allowed to win anything apart from a few wooden spoons. Good Luck!6 points

Don’t f**k about with the lineup! Get 2 or 3 ahead and then make changes. You get the same amount of points for beating Peterhead at home as you do Dunfermline away.5 points

FC Copenhagen 1 Aalborg 0. One of the nicest cities I have ever visited however you are here for football not thoughts on public transport, architecture etc. A goal that was fired in at close range via a low cross was all that separated the two teams. The start of the game was delayed by eight to ten minutes due to excessive pyrotechnics.5 points

Pretty much what happened two years ago. A hopeless manager and a squad of donkeys dragged to the Premiership by a motivated but increasingly leggy Charlie Adam, half of them ended up with new contracts. Still stand by what I said at the time, but McPake should have been fired for finishing miles behind Hearts and only just overcoming Raith by the skin of his teeth. To hell with the promotion, that was all about letting the outcome of four games mask what in reality was a season-long stretch of total mediocrity.4 points

That's the most comfortable a performance I've seen from an away side at Dens in a long time. Probably County when they ran rampant at Dens last season. If Partick Thistle had a bit more about them going forward, I'd argue that they've the best side in the league. Very comfortable passing it about and harrying our soft as shite defence into one of their beloved long ball punts. Well done and fair play.4 points

Anyone that thinks it's "heads gone" about not winning this league is kidding themselves. This is groundhog day ever game. As of January we are LDWDWLDL with a manager persisting with a line up that cant do the job.4 points

Beyond whatever is going on with the takeover it's actually kinda nice. We aren't shooting ourselves in the foot daily with abysmal business governance decisions, we don't look like we are in too much deadly danger from the bottom. The team's doing awrite, not great but not badly enough to encourage daily gnashing of teeth as to whether the manager should go. Just for a wee change, it's not too bad.4 points

To claim we were better is a bit silly. By no means were Dunfermline good, but we were awful4 points

I'm asking it a relatively technical question that can be easily found on Wikipedia, and it's giving me a different answer every time I ask the same question (same wording) just a few minutes apart, never mind the next day! I'm not talking about rewording, I mean different content replacing one incorrect part with another incorrect one. You won't find the incorrect info anywhere else on the web, so it's evidently just randomly selecting certain components. If it helps to ruin it, I might just log into this and feed it bullsh*t facts if I get bored. As for students evidently wanting to use this... Eta, following a curiosity search it's not doing too well about Brechin (false facts in red):4 points

Lower league fans did indeed give Livingston a hard time but they weren't particularly liked by a lot of people on their way up the ranks the first time either, not just because they franchised Meadowbank but also because they assembled squads they couldn't afford. The second time they were in administration and seemed likely to go under there were a lot of excited opposition fans on here. I think in more recent times - the Martindale inspired rise up the leagues - there has indeed been far less anger directed towards them. Perhaps that is just the passage of time and younger fans who are not aware of the history and maybe everyone else just got used to Livi being here. Certainly is striking how differently they are treated in comparison to MK Dons. Airdrie too seem to have been forgiven by now for taking over Clydebank (who of course had a good shot at doing the same thing to East Stirlingshire back in the 60s). Meadowbank were a good wee club who overachieved massively in establishing themselves in the second tier. Reached League Cup semi and would have made the Premier League in the 80s but for league reconstruction. They also brought through some very good players, one of whom played for Scotland in the World Cup. They did all that living within their modest means and they weren't in any danger of going under, that was something pushed by the regime who took them over with the intention of taking them to Livingston. Something of an irony that people throw that at Meadowbank who ran a tight ship only to be replaced by a club that was in administration twice in its first 15 years. Whatever people think about the way Meadowbank came into being and into the SFL, their loss was a terrible blow to almost all of their fanbase. A friend of mine was a fan and he never adopted another team. Nor did he ever forgive Livingston. Not sure Livi have grown as a club as much as those behind the franchise would have hoped. Over 25 years now, plenty of top flight seasons and currently established there, and a major trophy, but the crowds really aren't great. Nice wee feature on Pittman though .4 points

Christ this is getting all a bit repetative and the respective supports are never going to agree on it - Was it intentional or Reckless - No Was it a natural movement and a normal place to land - Yes Did it catch Flynn high on the ankle - Yes Was it unlucky - Yes Was it a stick on red card with VAR - Absolutely it was, whether it should be is another debate Either way, no point in appealing, it won't go anywhere and 99/100 the referee gives the red card when he sees the slowmo that VAR provides, therefore I'm sure if the roles were reversed there would probably be the same arguements. I can get over the fact Phillips got sent off, the only thing to blame here is the pitch, as it caused the poor first touch in the first place and accidently led to him landing on Flynn's ankle in a manner that meant it was a red card. Maybe after this first year of VAR there will be a review of the many inconsitencies and issues with it, but whlist it's here we know what to expect, no point in arguing about it now.4 points

There is, and today provided a huge amount of evidence as if more was needed, absolutely not one fucking shred of doubt that Scottish Football would be a country mile better off without these two "clubs" and their "fans".4 points
