You're on Pie & Bovril within sixty minutes of the full time whistle telling us how great it is, I think we can read between the lines.35 points

Again, if twenty Hamilton Accies fans try to stand up at Inverness, they're harassed by Police Scotland to within an inch of their life. A full end of Rangers fans sing a sectarian song through a minute's applause for a Hibs chairman and f**k all will happen / even be acknowledged.25 points

Deep down utterly meaningless to Celtic fans as well, all they care about is stopping Rangers fans from enjoying this ultimately hollow feeling. Vice versa.16 points

There is, and today provided a huge amount of evidence as if more was needed, absolutely not one fucking shred of doubt that Scottish Football would be a country mile better off without these two "clubs" and their "fans".13 points

It appears you think a fan paying less will have different interests than a fan who pays more. I would have thought both would have only one interest, which is for Falkirk FC to be successful. How much they contribute to that is irrelevant. Everyone pays what they can afford. Neither are going to get any any dividend from what they put in so why would they have different interests?12 points

Just read back to the stuff about the minutes applause for the Hibs chair and the Hunfans' response. What an utter, utter class vacuum they occupy. No wonder they howled when their manager showed a shred of decency.12 points

Yesterday may not have been great but if you'd have said to me afore St Mirren, "yer getting 7 out of next 9" I'd have laughed my head off. Reset and prepare for Ross County now. Let's go at them.12 points

A tense day ahead at Tannadice tomorrow, as manager Charlie Mulgrew has face-to-face talks with primary dissenting troublemaker, Charlie Mulgrew. Oh to be a fly on that wall.10 points

This last Union Bears one has actually fried my brain a little bit. It says "congrats" on the advertising hoardings and their end is filing out, so we can safely assume that's a photo taken at full time? In which case, did Union Bears manage to find out what Bhoys Celtic were going to display at full time if Celtic won (we set the standards banner)? So, as a killer response, Union Bears brought along another banner which mentions Celtic's paedophilia, just in case Rangers lost. They actually brought along a banner to the ground which would only make sense to show to the world if you thought your team were going to lose. That must be the famous winning mentality I've heard so much about from Rangers.10 points

Totally disagree - as an old timer supporter, it’s tremendous to hear this amount of noise and accompanying vocal support throughout the game. Getting back to real crowds and chants last heard maybe in the 70s and adding a positive vibe which must help the players. I’d be happy to see additional instrumentation added - it all adds to the sense of ‘occasion’. I would suggest attending a game is not the place to nurture a delicate state of health. Without them too many of the ‘mature’ section of the crowd are just too quiet or reactive which means too much sombre silence.. More needed, much more9 points

DC United 3-2 Toronto; 25/02/23 Att: 17,397 Very decent game to kick-off the new MLS season in the capital of the land of the free. Wayne Rooney's DC United perhaps just about deserved the win against a Toronto team with two Euro 2020 winners in Insigne and Bernadeschi. DC United scored two late goals to win the game including a winner in the 98th minute. Hibernian legend Victor Palsson provided the night's Scottish link and had a relatively solid game in the DC United defence. Decent atmosphere provided by the supporters section and there has been a couple of minor updates during the break to what is a cracking little stadium. $29 for the ticket with the obligatory extra $10 of Ticketmaster fees taking it up to $39 for the cheapest seats. $14 for a tin of Heineken, which is seen as something almost exotic round these parts. There's almost nowhere that does hard copies of tickets in the US nowadays in any major sport, which is a shame.9 points

The sooner the c***s f**k off out of our game the better. There will be mewling drivel about "Armageddon" but it will be the same pish we got when Rangers died. Didn't miss the blue pound then, wont miss the green pound either. f**k off scummy c***s.8 points

What's the plans tonight mate? If it was my team I doubt I'd ever forget tonight and then all the celebrations in the town tomorrow. You must be planning something huge.8 points

There needs to be a cut off. If 2 players go for a header and one accidentally lands on the others knee as they land and breaks his leg, is that a red? It feels like cards these days are based on the result of the tackle more than the actual tackle, especially with VAR then showing slow mo, zoomed in, replays and pausing at the point of contact. You lose all context.8 points

Fans of other clubs coming onto match threads to be complain about commentary by a Falkirk fan, for Falkirk fans. Lewis Connolly, you are doing something right Definitely offside btw.7 points

Regardless of what happens, what a season on the pitch. Think it’s six times we’ve scored four or more in the league in all competitions. I’m not sure how many times I’d seen us score more than four on the road combined before that. I was really worried about yesterday, but these lads are just brilliant and the manager is a breath of fresh air around the club. It’s been an absolute joy to watch at times.7 points

Actually thought you were one of the best sides we have been up against this season, if anything it was a great advert for league 1 but when you look at how this league is now half the teams were championship sides up till the last few in namely Dunfermline, Alloa, QotS (bear in mind all got the 500k covid grant as well) plus you have lower league ones that have came into the pyramid structure having money chucked at them Kelty, Edinburgh and in the past Queens Park. You started off bright and after the first goal, thought we were going to be on the wrong end of a doing until we got to grips with it though without being cocky thought we could have had another couple of goals.7 points

We’ve not always been the most vocal crowd. The youngsters and their drum brought loads of atmosphere yesterday. I wouldn’t stand next to it but really love the passion these fans are bringing to the support.7 points

Maybe we could just feel happy for a club that spent the better part of the last few decades in the basement of Scottish football, and enjoy the novelty of Scotland's oldest club back in the top division (if it should happen - "many a slip twixt cup and lip", and all that). I for one would love to see QP playing against Celtic and Rangers (though naturally I'd prefer that if we were there too!) I think any suggestion that QP will crash and burn like Gretna, or that they're living beyond their means, is a little presumptuous. Why not just see how it all pans out, and let them enjoy the trip?7 points

And you think if it was Hibs and Hearts tomorrow and Rangers and Celtic played this afternoon they would spend the last 40 mins of the show focused on the final? Not a chance.7 points

Real Madrid 1-1 Atletico Madrid Madrid derby tonight at the Bernabau thanks to my Real supporting pal giving me his season ticket whilst out of town. Strange one for me as an Atleti fan in amongst the home fans restricting myself to an inner YASSS when Gimenez put them in front. Good game all round - some ludicrous refereeing for Correa's sending off, a good performance by Atleti, just unfortunate they couldn't hold on. Good header from Alvaro for the equaliser tbf. The chants of CORRUPTION from the Real fans pretty bizarre too.7 points

It might not be the best decision financially but I would take the cup. I’m 56 and the chances of seeing that in my lifetime after 3 final defeats are diminishing. Cup winners is in the club history forever.7 points

In defence of the club….. Falkirk announced a £1.2 million loss last year, they are on track for a £400k loss this year. Anything like that would kill us and yet that’s who we are stuck in a league with. Even ignoring that historic spend, the match day revenue at both Falkirk and Dunfermline must be 3/4 times what we make and have a massive impact on playing budgets. Unless their “football program” is a shambles (as Falkirk’s had been for a couple of years), then you’d expect them to beat us over a season. That list of league winning managers that was posted, how many of them won the league again teams that were far better resourced financially? Dick Campbell maybe? We could all see that we were crying out for a solid centre half and ball winning centre mid ahead of the window, but do we want to gamble with the future of the club when realistically the league was already gone? The sensible play may well be to hope for a play off miracle this year and invest next year if Dunfermline and Falkirk are replaced by the likes of Arbroath, Hamilton and Cove? it’s really difficult to watch. Feels unlikely we’ll go up and with Smith, Frizzell etc. likely to be watched by other clubs it might need a rebuild over the summer. I think the challenge for the club is to work out how we do it without gambling with our existence if we fail. Last year was almost perfect but then a QP team dripping in cash and with Simon Murray finally in form picked our pockets at the last hurdle. I don’t think that we look like a league 2 side, not many of them Would take the lead in the last 3 games. But our soft centre means this is our level (as squandering those winning positions shows). The idea that buying the likes of Lachie Byrd and having a youth academy (which isn’t playing at the elite youth level) will get us out of this league I find far fetched, but if the board think it’s the best model given financial constraints then I think we all just need to buckle up and cross our fingers (unless anyone else is sitting on a few million and fancies taking on an unfashionable club).6 points

I'll give you an update: the only managers in the history of the club with a better second tier record than Imrie are Hal Stewart, Benny Rooney and Tommy McLean, all of whom won it. The job he's doing is unreal.6 points

From the sublime to the ridiculous.. Kirkcaldy & Dysart 4 Dunbar United 0. High flying Dunbar United crashed to the ground today. They weren't at the races against a well organised, strong tackling Kirkcaldy side. I hadn't been to what was then called Denfield for 20 years (a drab 0-0 draw in the mist against Steelend Vics as I had to ask my mate to remind me) and there's been a good bit of improvement since then. Despite the result I had a good steak pie and a plane came over at one point with a banner to inform us that baby Lafferty is a girl. Some people have more money than sense (Kyle?)6 points
