I've been noticing some revisionism and snark about Burrows' time with us, not necessarily from Motherwell fans but more from fans of other clubs who seem confused as to why he's held in high regard. Having lived in 'Ull for a few years back in the 80's as a student and then working in Leeds for a while, I can state with some authority that there's nowt more grippy than a feckin' Yorkshireman. They make Aberdonians look like Viv Nicholson. (You'll have to look her up, kidz.....)

When we first went down there was a massive feeling of dread . The club was in freefall and we just never knew what to expect. Thankfully the new regime seem to have steadied the ship and the rebuild is in full flow. The supporters have really bought into it as they realise how important a successful club can be to the community. I think the majority have really enjoyed it . Home crowds are up . New places to visit , friendly folk (on the whole) and just an overall good experience and day out. I can't recall any of the grounds or towns we've visited as being unpleasant or dreading going back to. Some of the places are a bit quirky but most have a bit of character. One huge plus is only playing teams twice in a season. I think that could be the way forward for the lower leagues in the spfl . Bigger leagues , less familiarity and less chance of getting bored or pissed off with certain places. Not many negatives other than having a few more extra games to get into the good rounds of the Scottish cup and having to finish in the top 2 to get into the league cup . Basically it has been a breath of fresh air and given us the chance to rebuild the whole club . Thankfully the turnaround has been almost instant thanks to some good recruitment in management and players. The winning feeling has returned and the fans are travelling in numbers again. The feelgood factor is evident all round the club and hopefully our return to the SPFL is not too far away. ................although there will be a touch of sadness if or when we do return. The Highland League has certainly been an enjoyable part of our club's history in my humble opinion at least.

The only way he can play football and take a wage from it is to go abroad and play. Iirc he has a young family so probably won't want to do that. So he really does just need to realise he's going to have to get a "proper job" and that he's fucked up that aspect of his life by raping someone. He should be greatful he has the opportunity to do so having not had a custodial sentence.

We've always been a sound bunch on P&B, let's not let the fitba club change that.

A lot of people thinking they have a crystal ball here, nobody knows how it will pan out, its ok to remain positive and have a belief, as it is being negative, critical and doom and gloom. A lot of football to be played.

Hampden was subsidised by the rest of Scottish football for the best part of a century. They should have just been given the keys to Lesser Hampden and told to get on with it.

People arguing for 90 minutes of actual play to make up for time-wasting don't understand what time-wasting is actually for. It's not just about the time itself; much of that is added on anyway. It's about breaking up the flow of the game and frustrating your opponents. Adding on all the time wouldn't really change that, and you'd still see players taking a minute to walk off when being subbed, and keepers taking two minutes over a goal kick when their team is a goal up. You'd just make the game last fucking forever, to no massive benefit. As others have pointed out, the easy solution is refs start using the tools they have to combat time-wasting. Book the keeper the first time he does it, not in the 92nd minute. Book every player who kicks the ball away (fucking rife these days). Book players for standing over a free-kick to stop opponents playing the ball quickly. Use your fucking cards. There is absolutely no reason for us all to spend a whole day watching a game of fitba.

Magnificent weather. Pubs shut, golf courses shut, everything bar supermarkets shut and my dog getting a terminal diagnosis. Had a really great time with him but equally all the time thinking ‘if this is what retirement looks like you can fcuking keep it’. Felt like a total outlaw by going out for more than an hour at a time to walk the legs off us both with no one, not a soul, about and getting a magnificent tan in the process Loved my boy. He made it to 2yrs 9 months. (and no, it wasn’t the covid that got him).
