  1. 10 for me too. Surely I can't be the only one annoyed at the order of the options for question 1? #OCD

  3. You can buy shares yourself if you want, and as a voting block of one, you will have no say whatsoever in the direction of the club, which is the entire point of fss

  5. How about we don’t start chipping players in order to painstakingly rule out goals because someone was a bawhair offside?

  12. Shocking you've not studied all 2231 pages before posting. But I'll sum it up: Legally the play off videos must show up every couple of months in here. Chris Cadden's transatlantic tax fraud makes him unpopular. Pakora is class. But on your actual point, aye. It's crazy. It's not like the end of McGhee the second time around where we conceded ~20 goals in 4 games but we just make the type of errors you'd expect to find in schoolboy fitba that is costing us points every week. @Neil86 hit the nail on the head about his positional sense (or lack thereof). The Hibs game was an abomination in that respect, and he just followed straight on last week for the equaliser.

  16. This for me also, I pay £20 a month and couldn’t give a bollocks about having shares in my name. I’m actually quite a lazy bugger so I like the idea of folk who have a bit of get up and go being on the board, representing mine and other fans collective donations and giving us updates. Each to their own though.

  17. I now see why the Aberdeen fans on this thread were so keen to discuss the 1980s rather than the game.

  18. Scott Lambie, the fourth official, has made a monumental error of judgement, imo. I'm a wee bit miffed at Livingston, but the SFA have to take the vast majority of flak for this. Fans, not just United supporters, have outlayed money at a difficult financial time of year, in a time of serious inflation. People have wasted money on travel, buses have to be paid for, some will have had to take time off work, yet the SFA who are the central cause of this simply don't give a fuck.

  19. From Fox, “The inspection was at 3pm because we had serious concerns and I was here personally,” said Fox. “I still had those very strong concerns at 3pm. “That adds to the frustration because if you just looked at the temperature forecast for tonight, it was only going to go one way. However, the fourth official deemed the pitch playable. … With the temperature forecasts what they were, I couldn’t imagine the pitch getting any better. That’s on the SPFL and the referees; they make the calls and hopefully they look into this.” https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-united/4069477/dundee-united-demand-answers-livingston-posponed-liam-fox/

  20. The idea is to give fans a voice in the boardroom by becoming owners (or part owners) of the club. A majority shareholding will ensure that we can't be taken over by the Mark Campbells of this world who almost certainly had some ulterior motive in wanting to own us. You won't achieve that by buying shares on your own (unless you're seriously loaded). If you can afford it, and we're talking as little as a tenner a month, then I would urge you to visit one of the pop-up stands at our next home game and get signed up.

  21. These arguments are like "I'm taller you I'm 5 foot 11 and a half" "But you've got thicker soles on shoes" "Not by that much though" "Take your shoes off" "No, besides you wear thick socks" etc... while in a room with two professional basketball players and a bunch of jockeys

  24. Why does it not make much sense? There could be a million and one reasons - financial or otherwise - why they may have made that decision. None of them need to make any sense to you. They'll make sense to them, that's all that counts. It's called personal choice. The last group of fans on this earth that need to reproach themselves for the support provided to their club is the Falkirk support.

  26. Utterly amateur pathetic officiating and somebody needs to be accountable. Invariably it is the fault of “mister nobody”. To call a pitch inspection mid afternoon highlights the fact that there is a problem with the surface. No evidence that temperatures falling dramatically so why not take the sensible course of action at 3.00 pm. For fans to travel in these freezing conditions for a late postponement midweek is horrendous. No sympathy for the officials responsible at 3.00 pm and there has to be consequences for this incompetence.

  27. You realise there is nothing stopping you from buying shares in your own name individually if you want to? If that’s what you want to do it’s totally your call obviously but I’d much rather my contribution went under the FFS umbrella, the point is strength in numbers where the group as a whole owns a significant share in the club giving the supporters actual power, owning a small shareholding individually doesn’t do that. The FSS should be looked upon as a supporters union, the more members the bigger the shareholding, the bigger the influence and the larger financial contribution which essentially filters through to (in theory) being able to afford better players in the pitch.

  31. Hearts penalty, Shankland converts, waddles away shushing the Aberdeen contingent. Hearts get away with a penalty/red card incident. Neilson (shatteringly bald) comes out in his post-match interview with a 'look over there!' distraction and claims an Aberdeen player should've walked instead. Multiple Hearts players come off with 'knocks' to try and keep Lee Johnson second guessing. Craig Levein smiles down from above watching it all.

  32. Akin to the excellent depression thread, I wonder if there would be any interest in a 'supportive' thread dedicated to those looking to shed some weight this year. I'm at the stage now where its becoming detrimental to my health and really needs acted upon. I've always been 'overweight' though for most of the time relatively fit (regular football, cycling, walking etc) but that is becoming increasingly difficult. I'm hoping that maybe some sort of weekly measurement would provide additional support? Anyone interested?

  35. Imagine there would’ve only been about 150 seats anyway. Stand holds 850 IIRC and half of that is Arbroath and then over half of the other half is for hospitality (which again is basically home support). I hope there’s a decent turn out from us, not on the season book and only one win and a handful of goals that actually mattered to celebrate has not put people off. We have had around 1700 home fans (not including the away support) for most games this season Gayfield is a great place to watch football when it’s full.
