  1. Good thing that they’re building a stadium capable of holding significantly less than that number of fans then

  3. It must be a fairytale right enough then.

  4. To be fair, if you aren't a season ticket holder I don't think it mattered when or how the club sold these. Demand was always going to exceed supply. The only way to easily get a ticket for games like this is to be a season ticket holder. Which, to be honest, is how it should be.

  5. Soooo... The young lad is a wild card for the regional's round. He was told by the judges that his dish was "Perfection", however the brief was for 2 portions, something missed by his mentor and teachers, he only served 1. The judges have 1 more local round to go and if he is the best placed runner up, he goes through. We find out on Monday. Must've been good though, the judge has offered him a placement at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel restaurant. So proud of him.

  6. Congrats. Maybe if you ask Stenhousemuir and Syngenta really nicely, they’ll let you put up a plaque somewhere in Ochilview to commemorate your elite status?

  11. God forbid, a Scottish law forces England to step into the 21st century. Can't have those filthy progressive jocks getting in the way of England's victorian era revival project.

  12. Go have a wee look at both 'fouls' again. Baccus has been done really dirty by the referee and Robert Snodgrass. This is what he got booked for. So tell us again he should have been off. If anything Snodgrass should have walked. His foul on Baccus should have been his second yellow following the booking for this.

  14. A 6”4 centre-half? Wears a headband? Signed from a team you couldn’t have possibly ever heard of? A self-described ball-playing centre-half which always ends in disaster? Im in

  15. Hi, Used to post as D.A.F.C. and had to end up banning myself due to turning into an angry moron and ending up accusing someone of something on here that was out of order. Anyway I’m doing much better now, got a new job and got counselling. Still browse the site now and again just wanted to give an update. Not going to start posting again, don’t spend much time online anymore tbh, just plotting my revenge in my lair inside a volcano.

  16. Yes, you guys are all spot on. But, right now, I have been watching Queens Park for 50 years and week in week out we would get horsed by Albion Rovers and Berwick Rangers. How about right now you just let this old guy enjoy the fact that we are looking down at the rest of you and enjoying the moment. Tomorrow I will probably have to wait 120 minutes for an ambulance before I finally snuff it. Hopefully it happens while we are top of the championship and just before the Gretna thing kicks in. Let's be honest, it does not matter which team we support. Any one of us would love to be doing what Queens Park are enjoying right now. Just give us our moment, it won' t last, we know that. Cheers.

  17. Absolute nonsense. Give the lad a break. He has hardly had any game time. His first touch when he came on was poor but he was not responsible for losing the ball which led to the sending off. He was winning the ball when he was fouled. The slating of this lad is pathetic. As long as he pulls on our shirt he should be backed.

  18. Personal issues are personal and we should respect that it could be anything. Surmising adds nothing and may be hurtful to the individual, we should move on he's gone with the clubs, and fans best wishes that whatever the issue is it is resolved.

  20. Few months on so a little progress update. After gently removing the last of his scabs (they were basically hanging off so seemed more stuck to his fur than the actual skin) Bruce has more or less fully healed. Still strange to look at but what an enormous difference from the look of the fresh wound after his operation with his fur all grown back too. He's doing fantastically well and even back to running about off his lead again

  22. 6 figure fee and he was given 1 league start, in a dead rubber against Hibs. Ridiculous waste of money, probably cost us 1/3rd of Jason Kerr’s fee.

  24. A centre back! He’s maybe not the experienced defender some were after but happy to see we’ve brought in some height and physicality at the back. Who knows if he’s any good or not but we undoubtedly needed another centre back and some height in the team. Hopefully he’s more Simon Storey than Marc Warren.

  26. You could create an entire paragraph around this and the ‘kids’ wouldn’t recognise any of the words - Dolby, Ferric Oxide, Binatone, buttons, cassette, C90, BASF, shut up mum I’m trying to record the charts from the radio onto a tape through this cheap microphone plugged into my slab-sized grey plastic cased Binatone cassette recorder, with the microphone balanced on two books, placed directly in front of the radio… paused and ready, hovering above the ‘play and record’ buttons to cut out the DJ chat, and all I can hear now is the hoover…shut up mum!.. OK, the last one is a lot of words.

  32. From one of, if not the, most reliable posters on WAP. Im screenshotting it since people (probably rightfully) think i dramatise things and if i posted it they'd just dismiss it. Our club is an absolute shambles, and hes still contracted until 2025.

  34. In fairness to him, he is absolutely telling the truth that it's normal for any bill that passes through Holyrood to be scrutinised before being sent for royal assent, that's not the issue here. What is unusual is making a very public song and dance about potentially s35'ing it right from the get-go, which has never happened with regard to any bill in the past. My gut feeling is still that they will shit out of s35 because they know damned fine the bill as is is perfectly within the competence of the SG, and their objections to it stem purely from the fact it's at odds with their own regressive, political stance on the topic of Gender rights. S35 would immediately be challenged and I'm 99% confident the law would side with the SG in this instance. There isn't a single one of their supposed flaws (I say supposed because they are not in fact realities, merely strawmen) that can't be resolved by either updating their own law to bring it into line with Scotland, or, as they seem likely to do, revising their overall approach to GRC so that Scotland's, along with several other countries' which are currently recognised, no longer carry any weight south of the border. Either option is within the gift of Westminster, the only difference being one would be progressive but at odds with Tory culture wars bullshit, while the other would be nothing but a spiteful, backwards step that renders foreign GRC's that are currently accepted for what they are invalid, and and move that stinks to high heaven of nothing but typical English exceptionalism and a xenophobic view that all foreign countries, their laws, and lawmakers are inferior. Guess which one the Tories will go for?

  36. At least for those glorious 82 minutes we’ll have the hope that something different might actually happen. It’s schrodingers footballer - as long as we don’t see new signings play then they’re both simultaneously the answer to all our problems and shite.

  40. One time when deep in a Football Manager 17 phase, I was at a nightclub and chatting to a lassie I fancied when another guy came along and started chatting to her as well. In my mind I immediately saw the player transfer screen on Football Manager that showed a list of 'interested parties' and I thought about publicly declaring interest to unsettle her. Sometimes you don't know how utterly consumed by a game you are until you try to do real life things again.

  41. Thanks for thinking of me. Never say never, but during lockdown, while my regular job was put on ice, I picked up a part-time job writing questions for a fairly well-known TV quiz show, and I’ve kept it on as a sideline after resuming my regular job, so my free time is quite limited these days. Much of the free time I do have, I spend watching movies (another lockdown habit that I find hard to break). Keep on meaning to drop in to have a go at some of the questions though, to see if they’ve improved any!
