  1. What the Rangers fans sing at games should be front page news every time they play. Every match thread of a Rangers game should be 'clogged up' with it. It was just broadcast clear as a bell at 4pm on national radio and passed without comment. It should never pass without comment. If you hated black people the way you hate catholics, it would be commented on every time. I can understand why you want to just label it 'tedious'. Because you don't like people pointing out that you must be a bigot.

  2. Poor on and off the park from us. United giving us possession as they know that we'll try to walk the ball into the net. A few renditions from the song book which should be cut out, 2023 and we still have this nonsense.

  4. I'm certainly not in the above category. If I was at Tynecastle and a similar event occurred due to a Hearts player dying, then I would join in the applause. Over the years, I've respected many minutes silences/applauses at opposition grounds for players or club officials that have died. IMO it just makes you look a like an arsehole if you can't clap for one minute, or respect a minutes silence for that matter, at a football match for a football player who has died. Irrespective whether he's a player at your club or the opposition.

  6. Sky Sports puts up their “Show Racism the Red Card” banner before every game. It’s a pity that they make absolutely no comment whatsoever on the sectarianism and bigotry spewing from the away stands during the match.

  9. Added to that, if there's ever an ideal time to take that gamble on a first time manager it's exactly when you're in Queen of the South's current position. Having a dreadful season where it's hard to imagine the new appointment being much worse, but relegation is nevertheless nigh on impossible and an unforeseen improvement could make the playoffs realistic.

  10. I do. I am pretty set in my ways though tbh. Its just part of my routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial masque which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion

  13. Just absolutely scunnered turning up to watch this absolute gang atm. The lack of competence at the basics is absolutely infuriating. Three soft as shite goals against a fucking dreadful hibernian side. Fair play they took their chances and three good finishes from Nisbet, but Sol wandering around like he's lost his glasses, Penney sleeping, and Sol once again failing to get across the fucking man. Atrocious. If Blaney isn't ready to step in and play then sign someone that fucking is because these won't do. ETA: Also, appreciate he isn't everyone's cup of tea but I'd give my right eye for someone with Porteous' attitude or ability, either works, in this team. No one even in the same breath in our squad for sheer fight.

  14. Well done to the womens team. Through to the last 16 of the Scottish Cup. Great game by all account, 3-3 FT, 4-4 AET and won on pens. Hopefully a good draw in the next round v one of the big 3!

  17. Wow that’s some scudding! Good to see McKenzie reprising Lucas Birnstingl for the first & the third an absolute shambles. Cove had given up for the last three. Knew it was a tricky season up Balmoral way but didn’t realise Hartley had that much work to do. And to think people had written off Coyle after a few poor managerial stints post-Bolton. I’m pleased for him, such a decent, positive minded guy.

  18. Really pleased for Aidan Nesbit yesterday. Has taken some (unjustified IMHO) stick over the last few weeks and months. Always shows for the ball, not only has he the most assists in the whole league I'd argue it would have been double that if over this season some of the sitters he has laid on for teammates had been put away. Also scored the winner v Hibs in the cup and 2 very important goals yesterday when we were struggling for strikers against a team we hadn't beaten in 7 games. Really important win and a monkey off our back. It's possible also that yesterday he was playing in a more advanced role which suits him better rather than gathering the ball 25 yards from our goal all the time. On a larger note, McGlynn working some magic letting players go this window, if we can get 2 or 3 decent players in then its game on for the rest of the season. The football being played now compared to previous seasons is night and day.

  22. On top of that Lamie in all his fine-ness is also our recently minted vice-captain. I've been sceptical about Lamie since he signed. I mean, he's fine, he's a serviceable squad player but he seems to have Jedi mind-tricked folk at the club into thinking he's someone worth building our defence around. He's frequently given the impression that he thinks he deserves to be first pick for us. Think back to the whole PCA/extension episode. He pretty much said that he felt he should have been getting more game time and for some reason we seem to have gone along with that.

  23. I am not the most articulate but I honestly can't be bothered to try and say anything other than "dug shite" and "bunch of cúnts" when talking about Motherwell. On a plus note I did shout some things at Douglas Ross today.

  24. Agreed - if he doesn’t turn out to be a good signing then that’s cool, he’ll be on a relatively low wage and it’s a project that didn’t work. Most of the stands groaning when he took his first touch of the ball yesterday was embarrassing and I felt awful for the guy. He’ll be knocking his pan in to try prove himself at this level and he needs encouragement,

  27. The incident where Ryan Jack gave Fletcher a wee shove in the penalty area was described by the commentators as "not enough" for a penalty. Despite showing the incident two or three times, those commentators somehow failed to notice the ball hitting Jack's hand in the same incident. It's almost as if we should all accept that the normal rules don't apply to the current franchise playing out of Ibrox.

  34. The fact the club have appointed “an outsider” in many ways feels more important than the person they have appointed. Bartley being a well spoken, well thought of coach with a lot of promise almost feels like a bonus. I was fully expecting either Murray or McIntyre to land the job given the board’s previous. As with all appointments there is plenty of scope for it to go pear shaped, but it feels like an exciting appointment and excitement is not an emotion Queens fans have felt for several years now.

  35. Tynecastle 1 Musselburgh 0. This actually was a random match to go to as I had meant to go to Dunipace v Dunbar but was running late and wouldn't have made the kick off. I had been listening to Tam Cowan on OFTB defend refs and then saw an "interesting" refereeing performance, shall we say. Ref was over-officious in the first half and then frustrated the travelling support in the second half by letting one or two naughty things from Tynecastle go. Eventually the assistant ref informed the ref about something the Musselburgh manager had said and he got a red card to add to the seethe of the fans from the Honest Toun. Tynecastle don't look too bad a side although I'd have to see them away from home. Meggetland, being shared with the egg chasers, is a bit of a gluepot of a pitch. Mussey are a bit blunt up front though.

  36. No complaints about the result, and wasn't too concenred in the first half about our play, although slack passing from the back was a portent for some of the issues United suffered from in the second half. The lack of support for Fletcher was obvious though, he was trying to win the ball and having to look for his own second ball at times. Regarding the VAR stuff, I wasn't happy about it being introduced, and it's going as I expected. The thing that annoyed me the most today was that fuckin' drum, supposedly banned from the ground according to our regulations which have to be issued to please the SFA, this information passed to the away fans by their own club on their official website, yet there it was right in the front row ruining most attendees' experience. And right in front of the polis, while the wee boys playing it had their pals beside them holding up two 'ACAB' banners. I don't know who is the most stupid, the drummer fannies, the polis, or me for going to the game.

  39. Agreed but Hearts fans, fuelled by, among others, Sandy Clark's dribblings which blame FMcG most of all for ""not trying" and "celebrating with the Sellick players", for their capitulation on 3/5/86. Hence their apathy. The highlights of that game are on youtube. Saints had 5 shots on target in that game including one cleared off the line. One more than they had today. Sellick have destroyed teams away from home numerous times before that game and numerous times after, including Hearts. Sandy Clark is a w**k.

  40. With our game against Dumbarton getting called off when my son and I were on the road, we decided to take in your game today so he could tick another stadium off on his list. Having read the last page or so of this thread, you know you weren’t at your best, but I have to say that although the game wasn’t great, we throughly enjoyed our visit to Somerset. I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t know most of the players on the pitch, but what I would say that Ayr do seem to be on the right track, as an outsider looking in.

  41. Phenomenal performance. The Davidson goal is just outrageous. Kept the ball for about half an hour and then crashed it in from the edge of the box. Seven of those starters finished twenty-one points behind Airdrie and eight points behind Montrose. Of the four who didn’t, two are young loanees, one signed from Peterhead and the other signed from relegated Dunfermline. Two of our subs came from Cambuslang Rangers and Arthurlie. Gretna, indeed. It’s a shame that none of it matters because Dundee, Ayr and Thistle have more fans than us.
