  2. Good Evening, As you might’ve guessed my email is in relation to the recent news regarding the Scottish cup tie versus Rangers. As a long standing fan, I’m left simply baffled by the decision to go back on the clubs word in relation to allocation for old firm sides. The fans reaction tonight is a mixture of rage, sadness and frustration. This is on 2 fronts, both the cost, and the seating allocation. I’ll outline my thoughts below. I simply cannot understand why a charge of £30.00 per adult and £20.00 per concession has been raised. A family of 2 adults and 2 children would cost £100.00. This is an insane cost in January. It’s even more insane when our own fan groups are one of the louder voices in the twenty’s plenty campaign. Secondly, why is it viewed acceptable for Rangers to have 3 stands for a 17:30 kick off? Many buses will be travelling loaded with drink and drugs from all over Scotland. It’s a recipe for disaster. A brief scan on social media shows some of their fans are gleefully planning vandalism of our ground. This is the same group that recently caused distress to a worker in the away end. Everytime it feels like the fan base is growing organically a decision is made that annoys or irritates it. In the last 12 months I can think of a few examples. This is one of the strangest in a long time however. I note the decision was made by consulting fan groups and police. Strathearn saints have confirmed they received no communication and will now not attend. I also understand that members of the FCU also confirmed they’ve received no approach regarding this decision. Whilst I support and love this club, I cannot support this decision. As such I will not be in attendance on matchday. Glances online suggest the majority of our fans are in agreement, wether that’s people mouthing of for the sake of it or not, I guess we’ll find out on the 21st. I appreciate this email might not have been the most pleasant reading, but as a supporter I feel it is only right to speak up when I am in disagreement with a decision that impacts our own fans. Kind Regards,

  5. Best keep an eye on the Covid thread. The "experts" are crawling out of the metaphoric jungle akin to Vietnam at the reimposition of travel restrictions on China. Some of the takes from the usual suspects are totally wild. They really have been left utterly broken by it all. They still post umpteen times a day about those "affected/broken" by it yet 99.9% of posters on here have long deserted the cesspit of a thread and just got on with their lives. A bit sad to see but a couple of them are building up to a brain explosion (again).

  17. My only comment on the AGM generally, would be that several Members asked pertinent questions on a number of matters and most were responded with wishy-washy answers, short on fact or commitment. Some of it understandable, especially around the size of the stadium. When this project started we were hoping for top half of League 1. So all this chaos is the fault of Simon Murray and Owen Coyle. Just joking. But it is a real problem. You can't take a Ford Focus and turn it into a Mercedes E Class. I won't give details here, but some matters were poorly answered by the Office Bearers present, to the level that they either didn't know what Members were asking or they didn't want to answer. Specifically on the reporting of the accountability of the adjudication settlement and , separately, questions about the QP Foundation and it's legal structure. One confirmation that was emphatic was that our arrangement with the Main Sponsor is in writing. I hope it's better writing than the contracts to build the stadium. What was confirmed re the stadium is that the South stand will not be built until the summer, but even at that there was a caveat that the design may change again, driven by cost. The East stand is almost finished, as is the changing facility as is the West stand. Best guesses (see my previous post on why it's essential to have a contracted Programme of Works) for SPFL games is most likely March. Several 'confirmed' dates have passed now and with no control over the contractor there's no reliability on any future confirmations. With regard to the West side of the ground, no specific discussion was taken about the West stand and the hospitality/catering, other than they hope to exploit it's commercial use on non-match days. I've previously commented that in the original design, prior to the introduction of our CEO and the current influence by our Main Sponsor, it wasn't there. And now it is. It's pretty obvious who decided that stand was required. What was discussed, with good questions asked, was about the overall development of that side and frankly, the responses were vague at best and showed no understanding of the challenges the new stand has created for the rest of that elevation. There's also no working solution for guests of the matchday hospitality in the Pavilion moving back and forth to their seats which will have to be in the East stand. It was also recognised that the Limited companies current constitution will need amended, on several articles, in the near future and that will, by law, require a vote with Members. A seldom used article was invoked to allow the current President to retain his office for another year.

  22. Update on the Headgone in Thailand (if any c**t cares). First, thanks to @hk blues for taking my crazy PM. and @Tight John McVeigh is a tit for his PM. The police have agreed on my behave that ฿10,000 (£250) will good. Pay it all to them (in cash). They will then divide it to all parties involved. I've agreed on 2 points. That arsehole to be told by them (police) that if he comes near my house, I'll f**k him up. This is the end of it all. All good, paid today! Only got my yearly visa update on 5th Feb to worry about now. I don't/hope it's not a problem. @SweeperDee you got a spare room? Or even a mattress? If not, it could get a bit snuggly... edit to add - bought a Santa suit as I was happy and will head of to the orphanage to give sweeties to the kids. Love life...Merry Christmas love you all xxx

  23. Our football club has become addicted to making awful, lazy decisions. They’re making themselves very difficult to love right now. i won’t be going to this game. If anyone happens to be one of the lucky few supporters who were actually consulted on this and provided with an explanation, it would be appreciated if you could share this with the rest of us. Giving up home advantage, when all the other odds are already against us, and at the very least agreeing to charge £30 for the privilege is a disgraceful decision. Given we’ve just heard how healthy the finances are, they’ve not even got that excuse to fall back on. All whilst compromising the only chance we’ve got left of a trophy this season. Jeanfield Swifts are looking like a better option all the time.

  25. Looks great on the NATO, I’ve never worn a watch on a nato before will have to have a look, I love how you can change the look of a watch so much by swapping straps. I’ve ordered the Tudor on the bracelet but I’m also going to order the leather strap as it looked great on it, now should I order it with a clasp or would it be easy enough to just swap the one from the bracelet to the leather? now waiting impatiently on the driver to deliver it, should have been here yesterday

  26. Only receiving £3 million to build a ground has fkd us up. In today's world, that won't build you much. Prices of raw materials have gone through the roof over the past couple of years and the sacking of the original contractors for, presumably, not doing what they were meant to do to a particular standard, have both increased the headache. It could have been worse without having Lesser as a starter; we would have been completely fkd if we had to look about for a new build site. I think your comment pretty much sums it up; I'm not sure anyone knows. If we have aspirations to be promoted, we'll have to come up with a Plan B. Plan A, even if we find the cash to complete Lesser with less expensive terracing (if that is indeed now allowed), may just do enough for it to be our home in the Championship. It's a balls acher of a problem but almost, in a way, in a good sense. I still have to pinch myself when I think of where we are now. How long is it since we finished bottom of the pile in League Two and we're out of all the cups before December? In the mix at the top of the Championship, still in two cups and it's nearly January. Halcyon days. Cup currently half full rather than half empty.

  27. Would it be wrong of me to point out we had Richard Tait, Tom Aldred and Peter Hartley all at the club during the first half of the 18/19 season under Robinson and were still utter gash? We had 18 points from 18 games that season, the exact same number we have now. Only difference was back then Dundee and St Mirren were both rank rotten and cut adrift so it gave us a bit of a cushion from relegation. However it actually took for Robinson to rip things up in January and try something different to turn our season round. Changing formation, style of play etc. Call me cynical but I just don’t buy that bringing in a lower league English journeyman or two to do a bit of shouting and pointing is going to suddenly fix our problems.

  29. What I've seen loads of times on here before are pathetic far right wingers getting repeatedly banned for being racist and bigoted weirdos, then signing up again and again because they can't live without P&B in their lives. This is despite the hundreds of self pitying posts they churn out about how much they hate it here on each increasingly tragic return.

  32. While a lot of the old grounds had character, what was also true is that most were completely crumbling after decades of neglect and at best, could have limped on for a few years, before becoming Cliftonhill esque. Brockville, Muirton, Bayview and Boghead had all become deathtraps. Folk bang on (rightly) about Somerset having old school characther etc, but don't forget it had a main stand expansion at around the same time a lot of these ground were being closed and has had some work done over the years. What is a crime is how badly new stadiums have been built. No originality whatsoever in most, but generally half arsed and cheap. Look all over Europe and you see high quality stadiums for clubs the size of many of ours, but we are left with relics and crumbling new builds. We all have nostalgia about the old grounds now lost and moan about soulless out of town grounds, but almost all grounds were built on the edge of town before the town grows around them. The 'new' ones will do the same. McDiarmid park being a prime example. When built, it was right on the edge of Perth. In last 5-10 years, the edge of Perth has grown way beyond where it is, to the extent, it is now as close to the edge as Muirton was in its heyday.
