O’Donnell never put a foot wrong for Scotland and he belongs in the Declan Gallagher school of players that whilst our need for them has largely finished, they deserve nothing but respect from the tartan army29 points

Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal to be topping that group. And well done to Ukraine too, a formidable team given the horrendous mental pressure those boys are under14 points

Absolutely superb performance from Scotland. Brilliant from Clarke and his entire staff and squad. Tremendous achievement and gives us some really significant bonuses moving forward: 1. Nations League A which will bring massive games, and better future play off chances/seedings especially for WC 2026. 2. Pot 2 for Euro 2024 draw a week on Sunday. 2 qualify automatically from all 10 groups. 3. Guaranteed play off spot if we don't qualify automatically. On tonight given the absentees, quite a few guys who have been brought in from the cold and several guys including the outstanding Hickey (and whisper it Porteous who won't be at Hibs much longer) with little experience and the fact we were playing away from home in our 3rd high tempo match in a week, this is an outstanding result. So many positives; Hickey, Hendry, Porteous, Patterson all young players, the timeless Craig Gordon, consistently excellent McGregor, McGinn and Adams, McTominay magnificent in his correct position etc etc. Oh and England, Wales and Republic Ireland all in Nations League B. An absolutely brilliant night for Scottish football.13 points

Can we give it a rest for once. So tiresome. We’re all supporting the same team tonight.13 points

The past year supporting Scotland has been the highlight of my time as a football fan. Didn't enjoy a second of the game tonight but it was never gonna be one to enjoy. They had to get a result and they did - again.12 points

When Steve Clarke was first appointed, I explained to my mate he was a grumpy beardy Jesus, in reference to his miracle-working at Kilmarnock. I stand by that assessment.12 points

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say I thought Tom Kitchin was a wee dick long before he poisoned half our team10 points

The UK government won't honour its liabilities to UK workers who've paid into their state pension all their working lives, is not the great argument for the union that you seem to think it is lads.10 points

How the f**k have we went from being basically fucked at RB (what feels like) months ago to suddenly having two Premier League starting right backs to pick from - neither of whom have even turned 21 yet. Maybe Mark Wotte's revolution worked after all. It does feel emblematic of the overall improvement in our squad though. We've slowly crept up a level, to the point where Premier League regulars such as Fraser - who would've been the forced talisman we desperately pinned our hopes on in the past - are just regular squad players who can come in and out. The average level of our squad feels like a full division higher than it was a decade or so ago and it's very encouraging.9 points

Not going to be around for the next week or so - tomorrow I'm going into hospital to have a lump removed from my leg. Been annoying me for a few weeks and it turns out it's a tumour. So play nice and keep this place in good order until I get back.8 points

Starmer and his party of c***s are so rabidly, ideologically opposed to you having democracy, and massively hyprocritically so given other positions he holds, that he would rather inflict more years of Tory rule on you than even so much as hint he might be ok with you having democracy. Should Labour need SNP votes in a Westminster election he'll say that if the SNP don't unconditionally give them then it will be their, and by extension YOUR, fault, should the SNP refuse and the Tories can make a government. Even if you don't vote SNP, by being Scottish you will be blamed for millions of English voters cheering on the filth that is the Conservative party. Starmer, and Labour, aren't just attacking the SNP, they are attacking all of Scotland, the Scottish people and our democracy, regardless of your views on independence and whatever party you will vote for in a general election, because when Starmer wails to the press about the SNP 'letting the Tories win', do you think the press will differentiate between the SNP and Scotland? Do you think Starmer and his party of creeps will correct them? Will Starmer and party of traitors regulate their language? Labour have declared a politcal war on Scotland, on you. You can laugh it off, you can cheer them on, but it doesn't change that you are seen as less than English voters, that your vote means less, that you don't deserve a level of democracy other voters do. The 'nation of equals' pish was always nonsense, but his speech today eradicated even a pretense of it. Even if Starmer and Labour didn't really believe this (but they do), they've prioritised English votes and voters over the Scottish electorate by saying what he did today. An argument can be made that this is just sensible, but how far does over that go? Are you content being always being less of a priority? They've already shown on independence that they don't value your right to democracy. Where does it end? I'm not a member of the SNP. I vote for them as a means to an end. Were Scotland to become independent I would vote Green. Independence isn't a magic bullet that solves everything. Things wouldn't be perfect. But it gives us all a chance at a fairer society. That's far more we'll ever have under the Tories. It's far more than we'll ever have under a Labour who are lurching more and more to the right and inequity. If Labour win the next election, it's just delaying the next horror show of Conservative government. I hope for more than that, and I think we all deserve more than that.7 points

Shite like this is why Labour do so badly in Scotland these days. The arrogant, sneering, moronic contempt they hold the Scottish people and electorate in is evident in everything they say and do. This scumbag has just written off at least half of the voting population, probably more (as not every no voter despises democracy like Labour). I hope the democracy denying c**t Labour party die. Useless, Tory lite arseholes.6 points

Genocide is a clearly defined legal term precisely because genocide requires a response from the international community. It's taken decades of work responding to the worst atrocities humans are capable of to establish an internationally recognised legal framework and mechanism for dealing with such crimes (even if Russia aren't signatories to the Rome statute). I think its fair to say throwing around your own definition of what is "tantamount" to genocide is at least massively unhelpful. Its also a massive cheek when Ukraine haven't ratified the Rome statute themselves.6 points
