  6. Incredible from us today, hardly ever troubled either as shown by Celtic having a whole four shots on target. A nice end to a difficult week after my dad died on Monday after a long illness. Last game he'd been to was when Obika scored against Hearts - I wasn't at that one so until Tait scored that winner against Ross County he'd still seen us win more recently than me! Was in tears at the end, although do feel doing a "typical St Mirren" and turning a 2-0 lead into a 3-2 defeat would have been a far more fitting tribute

  7. A nice and respectful 45 minute silence from the Celtic fans there in honour of the late queen.

  8. Celtic fans going above and beyond with 45 minutes of silence in the second half.

  9. All Celtic need is to acquire more football knowledge, have ambition and to want it more and they'll be fine.

  10. This is a pretty solid offering for a weekend tbh. Some Royal family banter, the blue cheeks seething yesterday, Sky making a c**t of themselves today, and Celtic getting fucked into the bargain.

  11. Brillant result for St. Mirren and well done to them. A victory over either half of the Old Firm by any non-Old Firm team is a victory for Scottish football. Get it right up them, all the way to the fucking hilt.

  12. Im as guilty as anyone of thinking Celtics squad was more than good enough for them to be able to rest key players and still win most weeks. Yet another pleasing aspect on show here Plus, we shouldn't forget, we really should all be right behind the teams who have publicly told the Cheeks fans to GTF with their ticket expectations.

  13. They’ve sang unsavoury songs about the deaths of Tommy Burns and the Lisbon Lions, and most likely others I can’t remember, and are still acting like the most self righteous fan base on the planet. Of all the people to get them offended it’s a song about the death of a 96 year old billionaire that lived in a palace, when most of the fans inside Ibrox can’t sleep the night before a direct debit comes out. They are not a normal fan base.

  14. Great result for St Mirren and hopefully the attendance puts to bed, once and for all, the myth that handing as much of your stadium as possible over to the old firm away support has any benefit whatsoever.

  15. Give them zero stands next season, it makes sense.

  17. FT 2-0 Yeehaa. Won’t get many easier three points than that this season. Goal in the first half, goal in the second half then cigars out. Absolute toffee. That’s two visits to St Mirren Park for Anges ‘relentless’ Celtic. Zero goals scored and one point out of six. Can you play here every week? Credit to Robinson he got the game plan spot on and the players executed it. Celtic had no answer, a few routine saves for Carson but we were in control throughout and could and should have won by more. O’Hara superb in midfield, Ayunga superb upfront and a colossal performance from ‘King Charles’ Dunne at the back. How had Celtic won six out of six before today? They’re rubbish. It often seems to fall to us to beat the Old Firm and end their runs, and we’ve done it again. They’re both shite, hopefully our result and performance today inspire the other nine teams in the league to do similar. Third place for us now, don’t see any reason why we can’t finish there tbh. If that’s the best team in this league we have absolutely nothing to fear from anyone else.

  21. I know a lot of the analysis in the Scottish media will focus on Celtic but I just wanted to say St Mirren deserve so much credit for todays performance. Tactics were brilliant and every player gave everything on the pitch. Also brilliant decision by the board to only give Celtic 1 stand. The of ‘so fucking easy’ from the Saintees at the end was also amazing. Big well done to St Mirren all round.

  22. Any h*n who’s upset over a few folk taking the piss over a 96 year old being dead can f**k off until such time as they stop singing about being up to their knees in ****** blood. Every week. Hypocrisy beyond belief. FTHB

  28. The chant is distasteful but that won’t stop me laughing like f**k at how much that (and the United statement) has managed to wind up Rangers supporters. Truly wonderful stuff. The same supporters who sing bigoted, sectarian songs every single week and now they demand respect. Bunch of jokers.

  29. I'm struggling to feel anything other than amused about our pre- match singing, given that: matches were called off unnecessarily last weekend, the nationwide griefwank has been shoved down everyone's throats for over a week now regardless of your opinion on the monarchy, that this is Sevco's 2nd minute's silence to her within a week and that both Rangers and now Sevco are just plain fucking weird about the monarchy.

  33. I’m as unagitated (is that a word) as I’ve ever been after a 0-3. Plenty of positives and everything that could have gone against us did. Defensive errors are bound to happen now and again and that’s the first Lamie has made in a while. Hearts would’ve struggled to get the lead without a mistake. One downside to today for me was Barry Maguire. Really want to like the guy and give him extra leeway being an academy player etc, but we really do drop off in quality when he plays, to the point he impedes us. Cornelius got on the ball far better when he came on. Wonder if Shields and Morris’ omission from the squad means either are going on a championship loan.

  34. Honestly, this is the real story here. Absolutely magnificent from the club, and as other have pointed out, the attendance was virtually the same as when they had two stands.

  37. I've made many questionable decisions in life, but today may be up there. Took the car to the Derby - Wycombe match yesterday as I couldn't face another pint after Riga. But then, when leaving Derby I took the mad idea of driving up to my brother's to stay over-night and go to the Hearts game today. So, here I am in deepest Lanarkshire contemplating where it all went wrong and wondering why I'm not sitting hundreds of miles away with my feet up reading the paper and drinking coffee. I don't even think there's a remote possibility Hearts will win today. f**k's sake.

  38. How anyone can think it's not a penalty after watching the highlights is beyond me. A good clue - look at the reaction of the other Falkirk defenders. Not one of them complains about the decision and in fact, one even shouts at the guy for making such a stupid tackle.

  40. I assume all those Rangers fans upset at the United fans' chants today would be happy with notion of 'strict liability' whereby clubs are held responsible for the actions of their supporters? Or does that have the potential to be a tad awkward?
