Energy bills tripled in a year, thats before food rises. I rather suspect that, if the UK government dont do something on a structural level, we are looking at a winter of strikes and civil disobedience. What we will probably see is mass marches on Westminster, stopped 300 yards from the HoC by the Met Police using their recently allocated powers - violence and riots will follow which the Tories will blame on "lefties". f**k the tories and all who vote for them.14 points

Which would still place it significantly above the city of Dundee in the attractiveness stakes.10 points

A very bold move from the Tories to kill half of their voters this winter. Truly the stupidest cunts in history. As are their voters.9 points

That was very impressive. Feed Dipo and he will score. That is as organised and disciplined as we have been since the McCall days. Keep it up Bullen pls. Happy Friday you honest men and bonnie lassies.8 points

Dundee are soft as f**k, aren’t they? Remind me a wee bit of us under Caldwell. Sweeney’s hilarious red at the end might actually be a bonus for them though, because he’s absolute humpty. Akinyemi is a player. Turns out it worked out really, really well for Ayr that Adeloye stalled for so long on his contract offer.8 points

Martin Boyle has up till January to be an influential player for Hibs, after that VAR will hinder a huge part of his game. Saints win.8 points

The next IndyRef campaign should just be showing everyone the 2014 Better Together campaign. Vote No for cheaper energy bills, wage rises, lower inflation, to remain in the EU and we'll give ye more powers as well. Honest.8 points

I note the April forecast is now above £7k with a kWh of electricity forecast to be 110p. It's not a winter fuel crisis that needs addressing - it's a 24 month plus long crisis. Targetted payments, Tax cuts, VAT reductions (i know it's also a tax), removing Green levvies etc won't touch the sides here.8 points

My big mate Buster is still in town, the owners work transfer to London happened so quickly that they discovered a few days before departure that his rabies booster wasn't up to date so he's at our dog hotel for a few weeks until he gets the green light, I've been round every day this week to see him. Also staying at the hotel is my little buddy Max who has been out of action for a while due to a hernia operation he's back to normal and begging for treats like crazy, bloody great seeing them. Apologies for what I posted (and later removed) earlier in the thread about Luke McCowan going off. I was out of order. I was only glad he went off because he is a good player. I am not glad he got injured. I hope he's okay and back playing soon. Good luck the rest of the season.6 points

No complaints here. Akenyemi is clearly a right handful but Ayr are far from a one man team. Very impressed with the Honest Men. Well played lads and good luck.6 points

I like the idea of Hammell going through every LB on WyScout, being enraged by their inability to trap a ball as well as him, and moving on.6 points

Truss doesn't need to say or do stuff to be popular with voters. She has to say or do stuff to be popular with Tories. Who are, without exception, a shower of I'm-alright-jack selfish c**ts.6 points

Remember the Still Game episode where they stole leckie, and more specifically when Winston gave his speech on how the Government love to hear in the morning of how many old folk have died during the night? Who'd have thought that this would actually become a reality. Tory c***s will be revelling in it. Fucking scumbags.6 points

I don’t know Ally Love or whether he is a really nice guy or not. It was a bad tackle bordering on a red card but in a League 2 Saturday game it would have drawn a bit of discussion and been forgotten by Sunday night. As it’s one of the bigot brothers the police are looking for an attempted murder suspect.5 points

Aye, LT is a fucking idiot playing to the most ghoulish gallery imaginable though. It would hardly be a surprise for her to say something that appeals to people who are misinformed about the topic, in favour of an opportunistic vulture like Ratcliffe.5 points

Fair play to Liam for keeping it safe though, asking him for his opinions on stuff could have gone in a whole other direction. Either that or the unedited video is 40 minutes and all they could use was who's your favourite pler and what's been your best shaggin wagon.5 points

In the eating. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Based on all the exciting youth international prospects we've had on loan before who've done hee-haw while they were with us (and only occasionally made any kind of name for themselves later), I'm quite happy we've gone the more conventional Motherwell route tbh.5 points

That was a truly dreadful broadcast. Firstly the pundits and presenter were awkwardly arranged in the studio as if the plopped the chairs and camera into a room with no thought. You could also hear someone from the room open the door and leave, see them go outside to tell a Hearts fan off, then hear them come back in again - comedy stuff. The aggregate graphic clumsily inserted into the BBC's old scoreboard looked bad, but instead of fixing it, they just got rid of it altogether for most of the second half. I don't remember this being an issue with the Premiership play-offs last year but could be wrong. The camera looked like it was being operated by a slightly smarter Pixellot system as it seemed to struggle to keep up with play, and was too zoomed in which caused the camera to dart around. I also didn't think the sound was properly picking up the stadium noise, but it can be hard to tell when watching on TV. Then, of course, in case folk wanted to reply with "at least they're showing the game!", BBC Scotland failed to show the game. Tbh while the pundits, running order etc can be really bad on Sportscene, it's the shoddy technical stuff that annoys me the most. It's just an amateurish footnote a lot of the time that should be so much better. You've got an hour to show highlights of something folk really care about - how do you continue to mess it up?5 points
