  1. Rather a part time side than one like this...

  2. Well done Killie, enjoy the money, I hope it makes you very happy. Dear lord, what a sad little life.

  3. At the very least their SFA license should be under review. Loads of teams across the country jumping through hoops to get them and these cowboys are constantly falling below the very minimum standard for being a functioning football club.

  5. Cheers mate. I have quite a small but incredibly dedicated support group around me. I am grateful for the love and care they show me every day. I literally could not function without my partner who has been my rock through all of this and she in turn has received great support from the Macmillan trust. For anybody reading this who knows somebody living with cancer, or any other serious health condition for that matter, a kind word or 10 minutes of your time can make that persons day. I completely understand that it can be difficult to know what to say to somebody in that situation, but just a blether about the fitba or music or anything can make a big difference to someone who feels a bit lost or scared. Thanks again to everyone on here who have shown a stranger at the other end of some cables and wires such kindness. Just received the call from Ninewells that today is the day that the new treatment is starting. Heading up there this afternoon. Feeling good about it. See you all soon.

  6. I'll try to be as objective as I can and not ruffle any feathers but then again, i don't give two fecks if i do by speaking the truth The shite some people talk on here honestly. Saying they always knew the pyramid was going to do this, the Lowland League or the SFA was going to shaft them - what a load of crock First of all the juniors are finished, always were heading that way, run by old guys and people who were on power trips and thinking they were important while that level were dwindling and by the way it had feck all to do with Lowland or SFA interference. Even now there's a couple of chairmen and committee wanting to return to the juniors, honestly just idiots - Guys like these and guys in the past are idiots who ran the asylum, no wonder Junior football is finished, Having spent most of my life watching and playing in the juniors it was brill but was dwindling and the memory should never be forgotten but lets make it clear, in the next couple of generations, the young lads coming through will say, "what is this shite we hear about junior football". Just move on and embrace the new challenges The Scottish Pyramid System is very much alive, truly alive because ANY TEAM from the West or East or even the South can move up the leagues by winning every game after game and be in the Scottish Second Division and higher - FACT . What we were all hoping for the change were most of the LL being relegated due to not being good enough and this will happen but will take a few more years than we all expected due to the looking after themselves brigade. Me personally, I think there should be automatic two relegations from the Lowland league and the 3rd bottom team in a play off. The winners of both the WOS Premier and the EOS premier are automatically promoted and either the 2 and placed teams of the EOS or WOS play against the 3rd bottom in the SPFL2. and yeah the SOS should be moved to tier 7. To speed it up the SFA should have balls and take away the self serving clubs of the LL voting on this matter and make them have those automatics relegation spots. It is making Scottish Football a laughing stock The shitty teams in the Lowland league, at least half know they aint as good as most of the WOS Premier and the EOS Premier but they are trying to look after themselves and make as much cash as they can before they are moved out by slowing relegation and allowing the old firm in. Lets call a spade a spade, if it were WOS premier league teams together in the LL then they would do the same or EOS teams in the LL they would look after themselves or even to go as far as say the Ayrshire teams of the West or central teams of the West would look after themselves. In the WOS its either gonna be Auchinleck or Darvel and in the EOS its either Penicuik, Tranent or Linlithgow Rose. If one of these teams makes it to the LL will they vote to change the shitty self serving clubs views and each year when more clubs come up to the LL will they vote to change the rules until there is enough. If right now its only 1 team gets promoted in the LL then after 5 years that's 5 teams after 10 years its 10 teams and so on, eventually the league will change with many different teams but will those new teams vote to have there relegation places added to unleash the bottleneck that is happening at this moment. I'll tell you something, for the first few years of the promoted teams to the LL will be hard, due to fact with teams spread across the central belt so the crowds will even be lower, only once more teams get promoted each year will it rise. There are teams who no doubt want to go higher, Darvel, Clydebank and Kilwinning but do the rest, Do Auchinleck and Pollok for example, do they want to try and head up the leagues or do they just want to get their SFA license to play in the Scottish cup and stay where they are. What happens if Auchinleck win the league, can they say NO we don't want promoted ? I'm sure these questions have all been asked in the committee rooms of each team and more. You only have to look at the 'South Challenge Cup'. Bonnyrigg Rose against either Auchinleck Talbot or Sauchie, how that's mouth watering, better then any recent Scottish Junior cup final We have to face facts, the Pyramid system is working very well considering what there was 5 or even 10 years ago, now everyone is involved but is a slower process than expected or we all had hoped due to the Scottish second divisions relegation issues and the Lowland League issues, adding the Old firm teams and the 1 relegation, possible 2 it leaves a tainted stain in our mouth's but it will change, has to change and the sooner the better for the honestly and integrity of Scottish Football.

  7. Best team won, no complaints at all. Shame Beaton missed the penalty which would’ve took it to the last day. Proud of everyone involved and proud to be an Arbroath fan. Bring on the play offs

  17. Telfer's verbal diarrhoea is the kind of standard comments you get from pretty much any professional when there is an interim/caretaker in charge and someone asks if they would like them to get the job on a permanent basis. If he genuinely thinks that comfort in working with the current squad - one of, if not the, most disgraceful, unprofessional, uncommitted bunch we have ever employed - should form any part of the criteria for the selection of a new manager, he's delusional. Most of us don't wish to see any of this gang ever again. Kenny Miller's comments appear equally delusional - at least, I hope they are. Someone - think it was DF - mentioned this the other day, but is he genuinely trying to make out that this is some sort of orderly, pre-agreed succession plan going on here ??!! The reality is that Rennie was appointed on a short-term contract, given an excellent transfer budget, failed completely to meet his objective, has stepped down, yet he's still hanging around in the background for what reason exactly? In an attempt to help his mate slither unchallenged into the job? I refuse to believe we could possibly be that stupid - again. Miller's management experience amounts to a six-week spell at Livingston before he chucked it. The task facing the next Falkirk manager over the next 12/24 months is a f****g huge one. Miller has not got the experience for it. End of. Take charge of the next two, utterly meaningless friendlies by all means - win them 10-0 for all the difference it makes, then it's thanks and goodbye (to the pair of them) and we try to start some sort of rebuild from the rubble left behind.

  20. Stopped reading at "There's a real hunger to win the last three games" 1) who cares about the last three games? 2) where's this "real hunger" been for the previous 33? We beat a horse shit East Fife team that was essentially already relegated. It's completely irrelevant.

  21. What a day! Flight over from Amsterdam delayed for nearly 3 hours thought I wasn't going to make it, saw my mum for about 3 minutes dropped off my bag and then ragged my hire car down to Killie. Thought we had shat it in the first half but delighted with the response after the break, now back at my folks place with a large whisky. The Arbroath fans were brilliant and made plenty of noise, all the best for the playoffs guys.

  22. I thought Arbroath looked fucked tbh. They maybe weren't but it's just how it looked to me. Doesn't bode well for their play-off hopes but I sincerely hope I'm wrong. All those twelve hour shifts down the coal mines finally did for them.

  23. Btw the grown men running on the pitch and getting right in the Arbroath players' faces must be the biggest VLs in Scottish football history. Your team snuck a title win against a part time side and you're acting like that. I'd rather die in a ditch tbh.

  27. Really looking forward to this tonight, totally brilliant two teams still at it with two to go and facing each other tonight , would just love to see Arbroath do it and have nothing against killie but a different team to go up to the closed shop would be ace , the sooner we have a 16 or 18 top league playing each other twice the better opportunity for more unfashionable teams to get their chance may the best team win

  28. Good luck guys and hope you get something sorted soon . As an Alloa fan Broadwood doesn't hold many happy memories especially losing a challenge cup final there in 2001 and of course that crazy play off game in 2008. I actually thought on visiting the stadium this season on the two occasions that the place in general looked run down with a lack of preventive maintenance. I see all the properties springing around the ground and actually wondered how long before the council sold to the developer. Is shawfield a potential surely this would be a desired outcome? Those of us of a certain age remember the football there indeed I think we were the last team to score there in 1986. Good luck and best wishes. Owen Alloa fan

  29. Clyde, crying, pissing their pants and spewing in the street as the rain batters off the pavement, “We were leavin’ anyway! Yer pub’s shite!” Evicted for dug racing and now evicted for idolising rapists. A new low.

  30. As he should have to be fair to him. We've all enjoyed a laugh at RG's methods and mindset about his club, but to be slagged off for daring to try and help the club (and considering his position with the club which he disclosed, he was well in the position to) by other so-called 'fans' who have done nothing but kiss the club's arse while they sink from their highest highs to fighting relegation in record time without bothering to question why fortunes have changed so drastically, so quickly, and used their positions in the media to spread that laissez-faire mindset further. RG might be a weirdo, but at least he isn't some sycophant.

  31. Can't complain, started brilliant and got the goal and sat back (we all would). Never at any point did Killie really threaten, yet at the same time thought Arbroath defended brilliantly and Gaston had been excellent. Bang, a goal and then a struggle to get back in to it, and bang another goal to the deserved winners and well done Kilmarnock! Arbroath - what a season. We could have won it, we had shitey spells of points dropped (at home too) the same time, they always seemed to bounce back with a unfanicied win here and there whilst Killie were stumbling around pished in the dark ballsing it up at the same time. The playoffs will be tough, and you never know. Not too sound pessimist, but everything about this felt like a cup final today for Arbroath. Getting an extra few games off for them is a nice reward but potentially beating an SPFL team over two-legs, whilst doable feels like a bit of a mammoth task, tbh. This team has a spirit though and I'll never put anything past them. Hugely gutted. Will probably never see that again, tbh, so there's an element of so close...but once that falls away in a few days, it's the playoffs, I put nothing past this team and to sound even more goon like, watch them play another cup final(s) in front of a packed-out Gayfield ; a three-digit away support ; more media exposure for not just the team, fans and club, but my home town that doesn't get too favorable press these days outwith the local Angus/Dundee area, IME. No matter what happens, I know fans of the club who have been through thick and think - luckily I did a bit of traveling/living abroad at this time - didn't experience much of the major lows ; apart from the Queens Park Div 3 playoff home loss in 07? And even that, was a bit of a cup final. To have gone from that, to the last 5-6 years is just unthinkable and brought some amazing highs. If it feels good for me (a bit-part fan) I can't imagine how it feels for the folks who have gone to every game for decades! Havering enough, but Lichties, have a great night tonight. Killie fans, you too ; but Lichties mostly.
