  2. Too many folk are scared of all sorts, but look at what is happening now. The things they're worried about are already happening and will get worse under the Conservative government, a government that will be in power for decades. However, even if Labour did get in, little would change. People are also still conflating independence with the SNP, and their hatred/dislike of said party or disagreements with particular policies means they won't vote for independence. It's astonishing that seemingly bright people still fall for this one. Whilst the SNP probably would be the majority party at first in an independent Scotland, our PR system means there will be much wider representation, and any majority party will be held to much greater account since they will not have Westminster restricting them. I'm almost at the stage where I think some folk just don't want to say they too are scared and are just lying about why they claim to vote no, as the argument about independence being a vote for the SNP is so transparently stupid. But these discussions have been done. I'm not getting involved in them. They'll claim it on expenses. Only 61%. Economic damage, cost of living crisis, theft (£11 billion), repeated lies, sleaze, corruption, policies that kill people, openly laughing at and ripping the pish out of people, abandoning many of his children, racism, xenophobia and so much more and more to come. And only 61%. f**k the people who vote for this cretin. f**k them all so much. c***s.

  3. At the very most, one person might resign, and it won't be c**t Johnson. Maybe they'll lose a seat or two. But that's it. They'll get away with it, same as they've gotten away with everything else, including stealing £11 billion recently. They and their types having been taking notes, as it were, for a while now, and have noted that they can get away with more and more. The past couple of years have just been the start, the toe in the water. They'll soon be acting more and more like even worse scum and will become more and more corrupt, stealing more and more money from us all. They'll start focusing on their big target, the NHS. They're aching to sell it off (to their pals, pocketing a huge slice of cash themselves) and set up corrupt insurance type schemes (their pals again, and their own cut again) like in the US. And they will do it, cheered on by scores of thick filth who vote them in every time. If they are ever questioned, they'll whip out some populist bullshit like the death of the queen (not far off) or push through racist, xenophobic policy. They'll surely have a load of the latter tucked in to their top pockets, ready to go if ever questioned. But sadly it looks like they are being questioned less and less. Their pals in the media are doing a great job of spinning things in their favour. Soon they'll begin ramping up the jingoism and start accusing opponents of treason and hating the UK and queen etc. Once that begins you know it's nearing the worst time, so don't dare ever get sick or injured again, unless you're rich. There is only one way out of this for the people of Scotland. But it won't happen. There's far too many here who are either part of the clapping, cheering, thick filth who vote these scum in or who are shitebags who enable it by not voting to rid us of it.

  9. We're not even at war. We're supplying weapons and moral support to an ally. That's it. The idea that "the West" will ever be at war over Ukraine causes the collective leadership of the US, UK & EU to shift uncomoftably and look at their shoes. It's not a reason to keep a corrupt, lying idiot in power.

  13. He is not taking me for a mug, I didnt vote for him. I have always known he was a lying c**t. Unfortunately England (and some areas up here) will continue to vote for his party - lets just see what impact this has on the local elections next month. My prediction? minimal. The English electorate are mostly tory poodles, and the current government demonstrates that they can (and will) get away with whatever they want. The English electorate will then justify this by saying they "cant trust Labour" or some other bullshit. If people still think we couldnt run Scotland in a better way without these arseholes in Westminster, they havent been paying attention for the last 10 years.

  17. Just saw it and I'm pretty pissed off about it TBH. Asking for opinions with no solid info to go on as to how it will be implemented or the costs (the club has the detailed information from the SPFL already) with 24 hours notice (and less than a week before the actual vote) is not a real consultation in any sense of the word. Right from the beginning of the fan ownership discussion, I hated the very idea that supporters would be asked about regular day-to-day stuff but I've always been of the opinion that when major changes that affect us all come up that the club should have the green light from the "owners" before they decide - this shoots that naïve idea in a ditch. If you genuinely want to take supporters views into account, you ask the question early and have a proper dialogue. If you want to tick the box that you've asked, you ask them at the last minute and move on and do what you wanted to do all along. This is the biggest change to the matchday experience in decades and I genuinely thought that we were past the high-handed thing where it's decided behind the doors of the SPFL boardroom and we can just fucking put up with it. I personally don't want VAR but I'm more than happy for it to happen if I thought there was a majority in favour (either at our club or generally) but we will never know as no-one has meaningfully asked.

  18. Been done to death on here but I'll always be in support of folk wearing football tops abroad for two reasons - 1) If it's a diddy team top it's a good icebreaker and you know you can get a decent discussion about lower league football. 2) If it's an OF top, you know you're probably best just avoiding having any interaction with the person. I think you are seriously overestimating how much normal people want a conversation about Queen of the South.

  19. Some absolute guff being posted on this thread. We we never dead and buried, always in the hunt for top 4 and 1st place. Form team when it mattered and now odds on to win the league. Also in with a chance of making a balls of it and having the 'thrill' of a playoff place. Overall performances have been wide and varied but we have the most league wins, scored the most and conceded the least.

  20. I sometimes get the impression that these folk would happily vote for a law that saw a random family member be murdered as long as a random brown person was also murdered. And with good reason. They have mountains of evidence that says they are right and people really are idiots. This angle about 'A WAR!!!!' is laughable pish too. It's almost being spun that the Ukrainian army would immediately down their weapons and surrender, through a veil of tears and hopelessness, should Johnson resign or somehow be removed. A change of PM, or even ruling party, would make zero difference to the situation in Ukraine, as the aid being provided will still be sent and the UK will continue to shite it from getting more involved. What happened to 'never again' and 'lest we forget'? The poppy pish this year will be even more hypocritical than ever.

  22. We didn’t panic at all. We realised in a timely fashion that Wright wasn’t going to deliver what was expected and got rid. We then recruited one of the top managers in the country and to date are now back on track to achieve our aim of getting straight back up. Panic would be hiring journeyman boss Peter Grant for some as yet unknown bizarre reason, being an embarrassment for months then binning him for that guid guid big laddie John Yogi Hughes and still being mostly pish with on paper a highly underperforming squad.

  25. Anyone struggling with their energy bills can make an application for financial support at Home Heating Advice. If you have a housing support worker, they are able to apply on your behalf. Won't necessarily cover the entirety of the price cap rise but together with the warm homes discount it could help those most in need substantially.

  30. Yeah @craigkillie mentioned something on a recent Terrace podcast that in the time since McInnes was appointed Killie have taken somewhere in the region of twice the number of points that other clubs who maybe fancied a shot at promotion did (the likes of Raith, ICT and Partick) and obviously Arbroath have tailed away lately with a large number of draws. Killie haven't been that impressive but the fact is that they have been the most consistent side over the last few weeks and months picking up more points and wins whilst the rest of us were falling over each other in the style of an old slapstick comedy.

Grown adults (mainly men) who cut about in club football shirts when not either A) at a game or B) partaking in sports activities (to classify as sports wear) are probably the same folks that refer to their club of choice as 'the bhoys', 'the gers', 'the dandies', 'jam tarts' etc etc just come across as absolute weapons grade fuds.

  34. Never rated these types of deals tbh. Same with hibs letting folk in for a fiver, or the various "bring a mate" and other jibberish Boyle tried. Rovers ran cheap tickets a few years ago on the basis that if x thousand folk showed up they'd stay cheap, it lasted about 3 weeks. I understand the theory that "they'll come along once and keep coming!" but there's...almost no evidence for this, anywhere? Similarly, cutting prices randomly devalues season tickets of folk who have committed to come every week. If folk won't come and support their team when they're in the mire as much as Dundee are, then you probably need to spend some time figuring out why that is and fix it long term... which we're pretty good at.

  37. The issue for me is that no matter what the numbers do, the mask fans will see that as vindication for continuing with the mandate - either “numbers are down because masks work” or “why would we remove the mask mandate when the numbers are so high?” I challenged a mate on this the other day and once they were clamped I just got “hardly a big deal” and something about right wing media.

  39. The prices will shoot up in October (and some in certain circles will act surprised when they go up by more than expected). Everything else will go up along with them. Like all capitalist greed, it's so short sighted and short term and serves only to increasingly centralise profits. More and more the public will have to choose where to spend their money, no longer able to spread it around as much. Plenty of business and shops will put up their prices and, as a result, will simply see an increasing and compounding reduction in business, pricing themselves out of the market, until we get a load of them shutting down or being bought out by a larger competitor. Chains will either swallow their smaller competition or laugh as they go bust.
