  2. Fine for average joes like us, not fine fot workers forced by this legal requirement to wear one 8 hours a day. The exception for churches just makes no sense considering churches are generally filled with the folk this virus kills. Sturgeon genuinely has lost her way through all of this, living in her own wee bubble of "care more".

  3. I know it’s been alluded to already but the sheer audacity of her to claim that the vast majority of people are in favour of keeping masks is utter bullshit. If that was the case she’d be more than happy to just make it guidance as opposed to mandated in law and let the “vast majority” to continue wearing them if they are so inclined. She’s a two faced, hypocritical fucking liar.

  4. Sturgeon clearly playing to the religious fundamentalists in the party with the church move. Lets compare the demographics and vulnerability of someone in a wee free congregation and someone going into a sports shop. Absolutely f**k off if singing and sitting beside folks and all that other shite they do in churches and licking or whatever the f**k they do (not religious, god can bite my banger), when they make up the demographic that we’ve all spent two years missing out on things to protect, yet I cant walk into a gym without a mask on? The SNP have fucking lost it and i will strip to the waist and fight anyone who disagrees, Ruel Street, bring maws.

  5. Fuck voting for the SNP whilst any of the current cabinet are in charge. Her, BST, Yousaf, Forbes, or anyone else who may be the next first minister. Fucking wanker bastards.

  6. Ok this is a total hands up moment from me. Unreserved apologies to everyone and especially your good self. No excuses and no explanations, totally and utterly unacceptable from me. I’ll crawl back under my stone.

  8. I dont understand this ‘Am no a grass stuff’. Ive been at houses where someone’s had their loved one stabbed, looking like they’ll die etc and the people know exactly what’s happened but somehow think ‘bein a grass’ is the worst thing about it. Its beyond comprehension. I get that people cant be bothered being a witness to a petty crime, f**k even i’d struggle to see the trade off with some things. But there’s a few that I dont think people see the bigger picture of. Domestic abuse is a b*****d, there’s absolutely no shame in phoning the police if you think your neighbour is doing stuff to their partner etc. If you see someone carrying a knife and think ‘im no a grass im no phoning the polis’ then think if that person goes and stabs someone you care about because they hadn’t been caught then I hope ‘im no a grass’ is good enough to get you through. I cant abide racism and homophobia etc, so forgive me if i’d challenge that. Drink drivers, ive chapped peoples doors to tell them that a loved one has been killed by a drink driver, absolutely screw anyone who ignores this or does it, scum of the earth, happily report that. The guy grassing the fly tippers, fly tipping costs a fortune to clean up, which is paid up at tax payers expense, meaning it contributes to council tax increases, so again I suppose if you’re happy to pay for other people to commit crimes and again make yer local area look shit then fair enough. Drug dealing, i get that there are people who are liberal in their approach to drugs on here, in fact my own opinion is for regulation and proper control of drugs with some being legalised. But in the interim, someone’s neighbour starts punting, why shouldnt they want rid of them? Got the fact street valium is causing record numbers of deaths, cannabis cultivations are usually wired terribly causing pretty bad fire risks, consider that these are often in flats then it has the potential to cause harm. I’ll just not get my head around why letting arseholes away with serious crime is somehow ok because standing up to it is apparently worse.

  9. ‘Aww get a grip it’s only a mask there’s a lot bigger problems in the world right now’ some arsehole on Twitter just now. Yeah, that’s not why we’re fucked off m6, it’s the fact that not one Scottish citizen is being trusted to make their own decision on it. It should be a choice at this stage. Wear one for the rest of your life for all I care.

  10. CON+4 is a popular meme on this board, used to poke fun and express disbelief at how the English voters can't see, or choose to ignore, how much the Conservative Government rip the absolute piss out of them to the point their vote share somehow increases. The SNP are rapidly morphing into a tartan version of the Tories as they lurch from scandal to scandal, all the while treating the public with contempt.

  11. Thing is, you won't get stopped. Nobody really cares anymore. I stopped wearing one after SG announced the March review date and I haven't been challenged at all. While this is true as a customer, there are still plenty of employees who face the threat of disciplinary action for not making a completely pointless gesture for 40 hours + each week. And that's why today's decision is disgraceful, and has cost them any chance of a vote at all in the local elections in May.

  12. The actual fcuk sake. Belt out hymns maskless, but if you walk out the church and nip into Tesco Express for a packet of dry roasted nuts and a case of Breaker Malt Liquor, you need to slap a piece of polyester patterned shite on your face? Shameless, absolutely fcuking shameless. Sturgeon will cry her eyes out the day she needs to let go of mandatory facemask rules and packs her wee tartan facemask away in the drawer. Bunch of cnuts, but that has become clear as day over the last few months. Progressive, moderate left-of-centre party with a Scottish sensibility that was far removed from chinless posh old Etonian Tories - who could also deliver independence. That’s the SNP I voted for - fcuk allowing these charlatans to run anything.

  13. I'm not convinced "this was England" swats it away, though. This is the leader who tells people to wear masks indoors. She should have followed her own guidance despite not being required to by law. Even if she does lift the mandate later, she's undermined the accompanying guidance that will remain. "Do as I say, not as I do" is a terrible look for a leader at any point in time, never mind when that leader is overseeing the one of the most drawn out mask mandates in Europe.

  16. The most galling thing is not the constant carrot dangling only for it to be kicked down the road at the last minute, but you just know that when she does finally let go she'll bring them back at the drop of a hat. She now has a whole host of advisors telling her to bin them, yet still she's refusing to let go. She is an absolute arsehole.

  17. It’s been a really hard slam back down to earth after the excitement of the Cove game to see us trawled through the headlines for thuggery and racism by a group of clowns who seem to think this kind of behaviour is somehow backing their club. If you’re damaging your club and its reputation then you’re not a supporter. I’m embarrassed and really down this week.

  20. Would the compensation from the director not be because of the way it was all handled ? Putting aside the allegation Rico has. The way the club dealt with it was bizarre at best. For the first time in years we've a team on the park to be proud of. We should be building on that , not being dragged back to the 80s with Nazi salutes, racial abuse and some utter low life's jumping cove fans.

  21. Folks go ‘oh ive no trust in the police’ but dont see how stretched police resources are, ive got an insight and unfortunately they spend more time plugging holes in NHS/Ambulance service provision dealing with suicidal/vulnerable people because it takes ten hours to get someone from mental health episode to a&e to being assessed by the CPN’s. You could have in one small part of Glasgow for example an entire stations worth of response police officers spending 1/3 of their time at hospitals or waiting for ambulances. So yes, that in turn means you have to wait for a response when your car gets broken into. Its frustrating. I think the government or senior police officers don’t help matters any by pretending that everything is ok and things arent strained to breaking point. People have unrealistic expectations as to what they’ll get. TV doesnt help with it, folks expecting crime scene examinations for a vandalism etc. aye the polis get a lot of things wrong, absolutely, but f**k me theres decent people working their arses off to try and make things better who are swimming against the tide.

  25. Would it be a problem if she was? What a strange thing to say.
    5 points
  26. Agreed. As I said yesterday I'd be slightly surprised if she willingly put herself in front of any flak by extending it again today, after not wearing a mask all day yesterday and passing up the opportunity to offer up the BST as the sacraficial lamb in her absence. Everything points to a foot stampingly reluctant lifting, coupled with pleading for everyone to follow the guidance, which will just create unnecessary division. The simps, as always, are incredible, though. "Don't need to wear a mask in England, mate. Keep up lol" seems to be the default defence from those who are appear completely blinded to the fact they are being royally mugged off.

  34. We have only beaten the bottom two and turned up for a 2ndhalf against Alloa. If that's progress then padlock the gates for closure now. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we didn't win another game this season and if Dowds is out for that period I'd say that looks more the case. I'm not suggesting Dowds is a superstar but he links our attacks, Griffiths is not able to do it against Dumbarton never mind the teams we still have to play. I said long time ago we have zero shape and zero patterns of play, the first thing Rice would've have done is implement that at Alloa and has and got results with Sammon starting. We do have some average players or below average but when we don't have any idea on how we are to play then that only makes them look worse as some if them will move and do decent jobs elsewhere. The new bod really need to wave a magic wand for next season, I don't envy one bit their path forward but if it's Rennie that will be 500 or so off the season ticket purchase I'd guess.

  38. If you genuinely believe in the benefit of masks and also believe it should be a requirement, you'll wear one when you're not compelled by law to do so. Whataboutery that they are not required in x or y or that others and aren't wearing instantly defeats your own argument in that instance.

  40. At the time you said it, it was not certain. I'm also willing to bet that you've seen f**k all of either team this year and your prediction was purely going off what you thought of the squads on paper. I suppose it shows the season your own side are having that you're down here getting it round a Dumbarton fan, but if it makes you feel better batter in.

  41. Some of the hatred and bitterness posted on here over the last few days has actually been appalling. There are definitely some posters who should really take time away from P&B and also football in general if that’s what it does to them. I’m actually surprised this whole thread wasn’t suspended 2 or 3 days ago.

  42. I work in a pub and we take card tips, just add whatever they say on to the machine and take it out the till. I’ve worked in a few different places and the schemier the place, the better the tips. Worked in a local where I’d maybe take a grand a week maximum in sales (2/3 nights usually) and would walk out with 50ish quid tips, then in nicer places I’d take 3/4 thousand and get around 20. On the “take one for yourself” thing, I don’t take a drink, just take a quid and put it in the jar. Very rarely take a drink for when I’m done but if it’s a quiet night and the person seems genuinely sound and hasn’t been chatting shite all night I’ll take one and have it after. One time in America we were out for dinner and it came to 140 dollars, my dad was paying and the girl handed him the machine and he put in 180. She came back a few minutes later crying and asked if he sure he meant to tip that much, he said yes and was confused. His face when I worked out he actually tipped 180 on top of the 140 was hilarious, didn’t have the heart to get her back and tell her it was an accident.
