  10. **Fantasy Golf League Week 7** Chile Con Carnage Joaquin Niemann completely destroyed both Riviera and the field to take the Genesis Invitational and jump into the world's top 20. Some personal news... "While there has been a lot of speculation surrounding my support for another tour. I want to make it very clear that as long as the best posters on the forum are playing the Fantasy League, so will I. As of now, I am focused on competing again soon. I appreciate all the support" Standings Good week No one has Niemann in their team, but Collin Morikawa is a popular pick and his 2nd place helped @J_Stewart to a top score of 240 this week. Bad week A bad week for @alta-pete @IrishBhoy and @Lester Freamonwith only 40 points. An even worse week for Greg Norman and the House of Saud. What a terrible wee shame. Not the greatest field as many take the week off with the Arnold Palmer and The Players on the horizon. As ever, we're at PGA National, a Jack Nicklaus redesign, typical PGA stuff with plenty of water and sand and the tough 'Bear Trap' finishing stretch where the title is usually won or lost.

  11. An embarassing interview from a leader who has absolutely no clue what to do. Completely painted herself into a corner by steadfastly refusing to acknowledge the mutation of covid from a serious disease to a bad cold, and completely caught off guard by large parts of Europe (and indeed the rest of the UK) shedding restrictions because she's been too busy playing political optics by ensuring we stay a step or two behind England under the guise of being "cautious." Tinpot.

  17. The fact that no one has reached out to the Women’s team in order to get them back associated with the club tells you all you need to know about how the current regime think. Even if they couldn’t give a shit about having a Women’s side going forward then you think they’d at least do it for the PR/reputation benefits. Trust me, these c***s think they have got through this unscathed with their bland ‘we are so sorry’ statement and kicking board reconstruction into next season. They don’t give a f**k in reality and probably still think deep down that this was all a storm in a teacup. They are probably privately congratulating themselves on getting rid of VMcD. And most fans seem content to leave them in charge which is baffling.

  19. I could not agree more. As a club we are in a dreadful spiral of changing managers and players very regularly and getting nowhere. What we need is to have a good manager in charge for a longer period of time, backed up by a board with a clear plan and strategy for the future. And patience. Rennie seems to have much more about him than previous incumbents and had a good transfer window without the benefit of Holt's wisdom. We just need to give him time. Comparing his first 6 or 8 games with that of previous regimes is comparing apples and oranges. The club he has taken over is at its lowest ebb in 45 years. The job at hand here is turning around an oil tanker, not doing a 3 point turn in a mini.

  21. My standpoint has been, is, and always will be that I don’t want VAR anywhere near Scottish football. Whenever there is any contentious decision made in a Celtic or Rangers match these days, every pundit in the land, “if only we had VAR, it would have cleared that up”. Clearly, for anyone that has watched VAR in action, this is not the case. The money that would need to be spent to bring VAR into our game is such that you would need a guarantee that all decisions would be 100% correct, and that is never going to happen. The only part of the system which is 100% reliable is goal line technology, so no problem bringing that in, but that’s it. The big bonus in Scottish football continuing to ignore the VAR system, is that it would totally piss off Kris Boyd, who is only interested when it is in Rangers favour anyway...and Bennett.

  22. Lassie on BBC news saying she’s been shielding for 2 years and not seen anyone. She’s outraged the government is removing things like mask wearing, testing & isolation that keep her vulnerable relative safe. Give me strength. You chose not to go out when all those things were in place so what difference does it make to you now they’re being removed?

  23. These Paisley maggots have always had a chip on their shoulder. Not surprised living in the bleak outskirts of Glasgow that they are angry at their honking wee existence. Surprised the amount of animosity though, considering their big team scored late against us yesterday and sit top of the league. Who are these North Bank clowns who are always seen on TV jumping up and down with their art lesson banner? Would get smashed by the young apprentice boys in the Derry. Forever and ever we'll follow the boys. The Dundee FC the Derry boys. Thank you.

  28. sorry lads a wee change of topic, the interview on club website with Michael Lamont in it he mentions my dad Willie Shields who has been doing the commentary of the home games to the hospitals in Ayr and to the blind supporters too who attend home games. My dad is 91 and has been doing this since 1955 from the studio above the gymnasium at the corner of the railway end. He first went to Somerset Park in 1936 as a 6 year old and you will never find a more loyal Ayr supporter than him. He maybe the oldest supporter still going to the home games.

  31. I've binned it everywhere possible now as well - which means work only. The wedding I was at on Saturday night was almost like normality as well, with no fucks being given about anything. The only lingering issue at that event and every day is the insistence on masks for staff. It's an absolute farce if they don't get that and vaccine passports to f**k tomorrow.

  41. People who are still terrified of Covid despite being triple jabbed need to shield for the rest of their lives. The responsibility needs to be on them and not the rest of society. It was a wonderful experience walking through the Eastgate shopping centre on the way to the pub on Saturday with my facemask firmly still in my jacket pocket. No one looks twice at you.
