  1. There is absolutely nothing to stop a predator walking into a public toilet or changing facility which appears to be the main hand ringing claim. Allowing people to easily change how they identify will not increase the risk of assault and will improve the lives of some of the most marginalised and abused people in society. Forgive me if you don't think people ardently opposed to this are bigots but I don't think there is another more suitable word.

  5. Did it earlier and I thought it went okay. I was quite calm until I had to get up in front of everyone, but then the nerves kicked in and my voice turned into a bit of a warble. What did help, strangely, was the the fire alarm going off after about a minute. It lasted about a minute, and at first everyone just stared in silence thinking "oh f**k", what do we do? It was a false alarm, but given it was at the chapel at the crem, myself and some others started smiling at each other, but not quite laughing. Oddly, it helped though and relaxed me. Despite it being quite a mundane speech, I've now been called brave and amazing for picking it up again and finishing it. Never want to do it again though.

  6. The treatment of E2 has been nothing short of a disgrace. I feel really sorry for him. Makes his way out here from a foreign country, probably doesn’t have many - if any - friends in Scotland and undoubtedly has hopes of progressing his career with us. He’s just in the door and is almost instantly treated like absolute shite by the manager. I don’t believe that E2 is so pish that he can’t get a game for this dogshit side that can’t score goals. Is he really that awful that we had to bring Hendry and Ciftci in? The whole thing stinks.

  10. Haven't read the thread so apologies if already mentioned. The only classy thing on show last night was the minute's applause for wee Lily Douglas. Well done to the Dees for their part in it too. RIP Lily.

  14. Regardless of anything else, that 'get battered' tune making its way into Scottish football is a travesty and anyone singing it should be punted from the ground immediately. English lower league, Ally Pally, 'me nan could score 15 a season in the SPL' shite. Get rid.

  19. I don't think he disappears at all. His form has certainly dipped of late but he's easily been one of our best and most consistent performers this season. I also think that he's not scared to put in a tackle when required. There's no way of us knowing why he's not been at his best recently, could be any number of reasons, but to suggest that he doesn't want to be involved is indeed pish in my eyes.

  20. One of our best central midfielders of the past 20 years was David Nicholls, who barely seemed to move an entire game but was hard as nails and did the simple things very well. He played with us until his mid-30s as well.

  29. When TF was appointed as CEO, in January 2016, we were 8th in the Championship, Alex Rae had just been appointed manager and the old board were desperately trying to sell the club..... He retires with us fan-owned and settled again in the top tier with our best league position since his playing days. Who would have believed that 6 years ago? Thank you Tony!

  31. Game 20 - October 2082 I've had almost a month to wait since our last game and the final day of the season is here. We're playing Panevyeys, a side who recently beat us 3-0, while Zalgiris play Vilnaius Vytis, who have already been relegated. Riteriai play Jonava and could still win the league if both us and Zalgiris lose. All comes down to this.

  39. Personally I'm not seeing Morrison as an option in a midfield three. He's a bit of a blunt object and is at his best when he's taking defenders on directly. I don't see him having the necessary balance in his play to complement an older Liam Craig or Gary Miller and Charlie Telfer who looks a bit overwhelmed as it is. Nesbitt and McGuffie flit in and out of play a bit too much for my liking to go into that three as well. Morrison is a striker in this 3-5-2 or an option off the bench. Nesbitt is a potential option in games against the weakest sides in the division in a midfield three. McGuffie is a player I don't particularly rate anyway but I think he's very much a square peg for a round hole in this formation. If it's to be Liam Craig, Telfer and one other than I really think we need a third player in who can go box to box and is more physical in their style of play. Alternatively, I view all of our other options as being flawed to a lesser or greater extent unless Hetherington comes back as a new player.

  43. I continue to find Glass' lack of involvement bizarre. The last time he played he came on as a late sub v Hibs scoring a wonder goal. A goal that involved running at, and driving at a defence - something never seen from the likes of Harkes, Levitt et al. Since then zero minutes on the park despite being behind for the majority of the game v St. Mirren, an abject 120 minutes v Kilmarnock and trailing to or being level with Ross County until the 91st minute. This with a backdrop of being afforded the luxury of five subs in the St Mirren and RC games, yet still zero game time. Not saying he's the answer, but our midfield is honking and quite why TC isn't even giving Glass an opportunity to come on as a sub is baffling to me. Great win tonight, and maybe a slight improvement on the last few matches, but the majority of the second half was woeful.

  44. My younger sister had a mental health crisis and was reported missing about six months ago. It was honestly one of the scariest things I have experienced. The whole time between finding out that she was missing and her being found by the police was agonising. I posted an appeal online and some of the comments from some people were disgusting. I honestly wanted to smash their faces in with a brick. The horrible things people say online for a few likes is horrendous. If you haven't got anything useful to say, then say nothing and scroll on.
