I went down the Twitter rabbit hole earlier. Saw a few Tory MSPs tweeted about ending restrictions in a few weeks. The replies were as depressing as they were predictable- "reckless" big bad Tories/Westminster etc. Imagine being so ingrained by party politics that youd go along with anything NS said about the covid rules aka pantomime, rather than admit that in this case the Tories have a point.11 points

Nearly half a million daily cases in France demonstrates that any and all restrictions are just pissing into the wind now.10 points

Not directly related to Motherwell but I see there's rumours that Cagliari are looking to loan Lewis Ferguson from Aberdeen with a view to buying him for £3.5 million in the summer. Loaning out our best players to bigger teams/leagues is a model we should have adopted years ago IMO.10 points

Textbook stuff from this thread. "Yes. Day Zero makes sense for Day One. Well done Boris." "No! You can't call the first day Day One! Wee Nippy Sturgeon :@"9 points

One of my most old man opinions is that I'd have a team full of guys like that. We've had a load of faceless nobodies with very few leaders for years. A load of moaners who want to win hounding the ref will do me.9 points

Honestly, I think it's more of a penalty the more replays I watch, but it was good fun doubling down so why not.7 points

The purpose of vaccines was to suppress the effects of getting Covid - or has that passed your tinfoil head by?7 points

Not getting the ATS hate. The guys just in the door ffs. He should've got rid of the 3rd goal on Saturday and also had one at the other end tho. I think having competition on the left hand side is a good thing. Doesn't get away from the fact we need competent bodies at RCB. Liam Craig coming in is a good signing.7 points

England should match the Scottish numbering. Day Zero is Americanised shite. The Gaelic Language act was introduced in 2004 by a Labour MSP and approved in 2005 by every sitting MSP from every party, if I remember correctly. The SNP had very little to do with it.7 points

Despite the mess of the last 2 years there's something particularly mental and dark about testing fucking hamsters and rabbits for covid and executing them if they test positive. Monstrous. Also what the f**k does a PCR test on a hamster even look like?7 points

Good news. A development level striker who was signed by a development level manager. Much better required.7 points

**Fantasy Golf League Week 2** The Last Samurai Hideki started his own Road to Augusta by swording the field in Hawaii. He's also a complete psychopath for teeing the ball up like this. Gives me the absolute fear. Standings A good week for anyone who had Matsuyama and a bad week for the 10 teams who scored a big fat zero. Unlucky. The DP World Tour kicks off this week, double points on offer in the desert as Hatton, Casey, Rory and others start their 2022 campaign in the flagship Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship at the Yas Links, "the first true links in the Middle East". The PGA heads to La Quinta for The American Express, the first of the many Pete Dye courses on tour. This one is typical Dye, plenty sand and water, man made humps and hollows and a par 3 island green. The first week of a 4 week West Coast Swing.7 points

At least when it's the last piece you will get some enjoyment out of it. When it's the first, you've basically just pissed the money up against the wall.7 points

He was on the park eight minutes, his movement looked good, he showed a great touch to beat his man before being fouled in the corner, and he got a shot away. Maybe my standards are low, but given the state of the match when he came on, I think he did well.6 points

I've given Glass a lot of stick. But he deserves this praise, he has a go at both the Old Firm sides. Much more enjoyable to watch than sitting back and shitting ourselves time after time under McInnes.6 points

They’re fucking rotten. It’s like listening to two boring guys in a pub who have no idea what they’re talking about commentating on a game they’re watching on TV.6 points

She said that we need to relax the restrictions gradually to see their impact before announcing more. Is it just me or is that just total nonsense here? The big announcement last Tuesday was large outdoor events with full crowds were allowed. Given that only took affect from yesterday so we've had one major football in front of a sizeable crowd since that announcement was made. There is no way you can look at last weeks easing today and say "it has had a negative/positive/not noticeable impact".6 points

Just posted this on the match thread. I live in Aberdeen and used to work very close to Spain Park. It’s on the edge of vast industrial estates which will be deserted on a Saturday, so plenty of on street parking in either East or West Tullos Industrial Estates and a short walk. Personally I wouldn’t park in the residential streets of Torry and don’t try Tesco, Lidl or Halfords etc.6 points

Best bit from the commentary team “five minutes additional time, it could be double that”.5 points

You definitely need to play the conditions and scenarios of a match. You can’t go round the pitch ‘giving 100%’ which is code for going in on every challenge, when you’re on a yellow and Kevin Clancy is the referee.5 points

Without exaggeration, those commentators made what was in normal circumstances a very satisfying win, even sweeter. If I heard two St. Mirren supporters near me going on like that at a game I'd tell them to fucking shut up.5 points

The only time I don't mind Scott Brown is when he's playing Rangers, got the whole club on absolute strings.5 points
