  3. Leitch 'If I had told you two years ago that you'd put a small test in your nose every single morning after you brushed your teeth, you wouldn't have believed me'. Two years on, I still fucking don't Jason. Anyone who sticks an LFT up their hooter every single morning after they brush their teeth is surely in a tiny, tiny minority.

  4. What an absolute pile of nonsense. 1. Incompetence isn't a scandal - siphoning billions from the public purse to enrich cronies absolutely fucking is. Unless 600K (I think it was) equals 37 billion in your tiny wee brain, I'm afraid the WM mob are streets ahead of anything disreputable which has occurred north of the border. 2. Setting out restrictions for the entire country and then blatantly ignoring them is absolutely a red card. Even before we get to the lying about it. 3. "As promised"? How fucking stupid are you? Ask any passing fisherman or farmer if they believe they've got the Brexit they were promised - never mind the people doing business with NI. 4. Who, exactly, do you think will be paying for the furlough scheme? I'll give you a clue - find a mirror. 5. See 4. The one thing which has delivered in the whole shitshow - thanks to the NHS and volunteers (mainly public sector workers). Absolutely no credit is due to Johnson or successive health Secretaries. ETA: Turn the ship around? Don't make me laugh. The ERG version* of Brexit is only just beginning to impact our lives, post-Covid employment (which the scarecrow-headed cúnt continues to trumpet) is rights-free, minimum wage and demand contract modern slavery, and the Opposition can't bring themselves to oppose the descent into totalitarianism. But hey, that cúnt Corbyn had a beard, so.. *Which I refuse to believe even the thickest racist in Wetherspoons thought they were voting for.

  12. Guessing we can now expect the following over the new few days. Journalist/opposition politician: Can the FM confirm if there are plans to reduce isolation to 5 days following the annoucement in England? Sturgeon: *sarcastic, belittling response that amounts to no with added eye rolling* Two to three weeks later... Sturgeon: I am pleased to announce that isolation rules are to be reduced to 5 days...

  13. This is great news, a young supporter living the dream we all had! He's a big strong lad for 17 with great potential. Hopefully we see him get more minutes over the rest of the season and he bangs in a few goals. Another Academy Graduate makes the grade, cause for celebration not disappointment.

  14. I am going to slightly disagree with senorsoupe, I think Chapman is ideally a playmaking, attacking midfielder, but he rarely got to play that role in MLS. In Toronto he was always behind a very expensive No. 10 (if not 2 very expensive 10s) and in Miami they had Rodolfo Pizzaro (who was controversially left off Mexico’s squad for Russia) and Blaise Matuidi. I was shocked that he started 13 matches last season. Inter Miami were such a mess that they spent $6M on a young Argentine Pellegrini in that position and then signed Matuidi and Gonzalo Higuain and weren’t able to use Pellegrini because of the salary rules and had to loan him out. Chapman is tall for a midfielder, but he’s not a physical player. He’s got some skill and keeps things ticking along. I have no idea how he is going to fare in the SPL. It seems like an odd fit for him in terms of style of play, but he has a bit of quality and I want to see how he does if he is tasked with providing that final ball. His dad is English, so surely the work permit shouldn’t be an issue. I wouldn’t read too much into his international appearances. Canada has annual January camp with the Scandanavian players on break and the MLS players in the off-season. It always features a few new faces or players on the fringe of the squad and a closed-door friendly to end the camp that is a glorified training match. In his debut, Canada subbed keepers at half, the debutant keeper hit the post in the 55th, went off and Canada finished with a defender in goal and still won 4-2. In his last appearance in 2020 he only appeared in one of the two matches against Barbados and didn’t feature in the “proper” match against Iceland.

  15. Strange how Ireland managed to pay they're own furlough scheme and have best vaccination rate in EU. Smaller population too, no natural reserves, better GDP per capita than UK and also managed to give all citizens a fuel rebate this year. Too wee and stupid....nope!

  17. For me with Sturgeon it's the condescending, arrogant attitude she gives everytime shes questioned she genuinely gives of a "how dare you question me" attitude everytime someone asks her any question that isn't entirely to her approval. I'm not sure if it's a new thing or if it's just become way more evident during the pandemic, the eye rolling and the looks she gives some of the journalist is childish and pathetic.

  19. Great information. Please make your way over to the St Johnstone thread and teach Randomguy how to make a factual and informing footballing post without making people want to find their nearest bridge to call it a day on existence through a boredom overload. We have an ageing player behind the striker and Chapman may beable to take over that role. Just to let you know you've probably given the useless local media their article for papers tomorrow. Thank you.

  21. Yogi publicly stated that he would rather play Ross Graham at left CB than a Lithuanian international who has played in all 4 clean sheets we’d kept this season (at the time of interview), because Ross Graham is left footed. Worth noting, that Breen kept his place until getting covid, despite the fact that we conceded 14 goals in his first 5 starts for us. Before we somehow kept a clean sheet v Raith. Under Yogi, we conceded one goal in the 2 games Gaspuitis played - a penalty, which the SFA later admitted shouldn’t have been a penalty (Dorrans red card rescinded). We conceded 3 in each of Breen’s first 2 starts under Yogi - Breen was directly involved in a few of them too. Yogi also said at one point that Breen was playing because Ross Graham was only here on loan and we need to look after our own. This is despite sticking with Connolly (who’s loan deal was only until January) and dropping Gaspuitis - who was under contract for the next 18 months. Of course, Gaspuitis then asked to have his contract terminated, due to lack of game time. He seems to be great at making terrible decisions and sticking with them, even when it doesn’t work. See McCann on his own up front for 90 minutes every week, despite the fact we haven’t scored from open play since Yogi’s first game. Also see Matty Todd being involved every week. Another example is signing Lawless, who complained about being put through the middle at Motherwell, and playing him in a central role every game since he signed. Style of play is another big issue - we don’t have the personnel (particularly in midfield) to play this passing game, but he’s still sticking with it, despite not signing any midfielders. But yeah, back to my point - don’t rule out the idea of signing 2 players, but only playing one of them at a time. That would be far from the dumbest thing he has done/is doing at the club. We’re also reportedly considering loaning our best striker to you guys. Why do you expect any of our other transfer activity to make sense?

  23. So today's figures include positive LFTs reported as well as PCRs. 8.2k positive results. 15% of PCRs positive. It's almost like every single thing the South Africans said was right.....

  24. Not sure if someone else will already have mentioned this but I heard Bullen took all of the players and back room staff (not sure about other club staff) out for a meal last week that he paid for out of his own pocket. Nice move and you would imagine an early start for some positive man-management.

  25. Listening to Yogi's weekly interview. Detect by the tone of that interview that the size of the task he's got is hitting home. The transfer window is turning into a bit of a nightmare. Hitting dead ends. Doesn't sound like anything is going to happen soon. He's looking for more guile and physicality. He's hoping that things heat up towards the end of the window. Can't see how we are going to get past another 2-3 games with this rabble of a squad picking up points. We could be detached by the time we get players in. What a horrible horrible season this has been. The footballing matters at DAFC have been handled terribly. A complete shambles in the boardroom and in the dugout.

  26. I actually have no problem with Johnson/Rees Mogg/Gove and whoever patronising and insulting Scotland. Where I do have a problem is with the sizeable percentage of the Scottish electorate who vote Tory. On so many counts they are the real issue.

  27. No question Cameron started slowly with us but he was excellent away at Arbroath, same type of performance at Dunfermline and was really prominent against Ayr. Scored in all of these games, held the ball up and linked well with Connelly. No coincidence that we lost every game recently that he wasn’t playing.I know that some of you have unbelievably high standards but for me he is a very decent option at this level. Works his butt off for the team, good attitude and a young player very likely to improve. I hope I’m wrong but I will be pleasantly surprised if we get anybody better as a replacement.

  29. There was an open application process where the BOD actively asked fans willing to give up time and expertise to apply over a month ago now, in the latest update they state they have brought a number of new volunteers in on the back of that. They also politely thanked those who had offered but weren’t required at this time. Im really not sure why your raising an issue here, as far as I can see the new regime are properly getting to grips with things now and sorting out the mess they inherited while slowly removing/replacing people who were a possible hindrance to driving the club previously. I’m actually becoming more impressed and confident in the new leadership with every decision they have made so far, like I said, I’m a bit confused what you mean here? (also David White genuinely felt the position needs somebody who can devote more attention to it than has now become apparent to him he can, exactly as stated, the FSS I’m sure will confirm this officially shortly. His role was only temporary anyway until the FSS can hold elections)

  30. It will make no difference. By the time we get near an election Johnson will be long gone and England will breathe a sigh of relief and vote Tory again.

  31. This is something which seems to have gone under the radar and hasn’t really been questioned; Sturgeon promised a week or two ago to disclose the data of “with covid” and “because of covid”. As you say, we got two random sample results based on a specific timescale. Surely even the Scottish Government would need to know the full picture and rolling trends etc? It’s hardly rocket science; unless I’m missing something, it’s surely just an audit around the health boards? It is another example of poor optics and gives the suspicion that Sturgeon’s Government are suppressing the full facts.

  33. Glorious, a genuine no win situation for the sweaty nonce. Either: 1) public humiliation in a cross examination, or 2) an out of court settlement costing millions and finishing what's left of his tawdry reputation. Option 2 should also ensure plenty of hard questions about the future of the royal parasites given that the public will essentially be paying out millions to avoid the Queen being too embarrassed by her paedophile son. 36. Well yes - we knew that Omicron was a glorified cold producing mild symptoms in the vast majority of cases, based on the real-world data from South Africa. The SG chose to ignore said data because it didn't fit their proven garbage public health modelling. Apples and oranges. The UK already had a high level of immunity from its summer exit wave, as well as a booster programme underway that could be rapidly scaled up to meet the challenge. Countries that had only one or neither of those advantages faced a different set of options as a result. The UK government had access to the exact same information as the SG and did not impose utterly useless capacity restrictions on events because there were and are no credible grounds to do so. I'm not going to waste my time having a go at the Dutch government for their nonsense measures, because err, I don't live in Holland and can't turf them out of power. Scottish Championship fans were directly penalised for the sake of the SG's safety theatre. Your utterly desperate wagon-circling exercise around your beloved SNP does not change that reality.
