  1. Is there a chance that the Pars players look so good in training because their opposition are other Pars players?

  2. You genuinely make some decent points but you miss the point so often. You also seem to feed off this thread like you need some sort of validation. Stop trying so hard

  3. Yeah I’m not sure why lots of people seem to use this as an insult/way to to get under the skin of a poster. Anyone who feels they haven’t been affected by Covid is either lying or mentally unhinged. I am absolutely heavily affected by Covid (not the virus itself, the restrictions we’ve been living under for nearly 2 years). I’ve definitely become angrier at times (whenever anyone mentions restrictions really, and especially when they try to argue that they are good and they work based on no evidence) and incredibly down at times. Why posters think that is something to use to attack other posters with baffles me.

  4. Says the man who posts about Covid hundreds of times a week. You're as broken as the weirdo doing 3 LFT a day and you don't even realise it.

  5. What a state to get yourself in. A former Labour councillor shooting his bolt, over a multi-billion pound company cutting the wages of its low paid workers.

  8. Keena is ideal fodder for Kenny Miller to work with. Its also going to be hugely beneficial to him to have Dowds beside him occupying defenders and doing more of the hold up. I always have been, and remain convinced, that there is a good striker in Keena.

  9. Probably true overall. Plenty people that aren't middle class went and clapped for the NHS/battered pots for them and thought Captain Tom was great and likely contributed to his efforts. The middle classes were however undeniably in a hugely privileged position during lockdown. The vast majority of them were working from home and whilst this does come with its downsides (expecially when leisure activities are restricted) they were mostly protected from this new virus that we knew nothing about as a result. The food still got delivered, supermarkets were open and Amazon still arrived. Other people were there to serve them and encountered all the risk. The wheel kept turning albeit in a more restricted manner than usual. I think that's what makes the blitz spirit stuff all the weirder. Ignoring the fact that bombs weren't being dropped on their town/city at night, it wasn't exactly an equal effort in terms of keeping society going. Yet for some reason, these people have since taken it upon themselves to look down on and generally sneer at activities they don't think are worthy and that people shouldn't be doing them. All in the name of controlling the virus, of course. Or so they badge it -the real reason is that they are oblivious to the effect these measures have on people. They are alright, Jack. They then have the cheek to call people selfish for doing things they think ought to be banned. I don't think anyone really apportions blame to the middle classes exclusively, but there is a prevalent mindset amongst a fair proportion of that demographic that is grating. In short, society should be restricted to protect them from encountering the virus and to hell with everyone else this impacts. We've seen it with hospitality, with foreign travel and most recently with football too. Never mind other people's enjoyment and never mind their livelihoods either; I demand I do not catch this virus I have been triple vaccinated against. It's a thoroughly selfish attitude and it has to stop, particularly the strange expectation they have that these things ought to be done on a mere whim.

  12. As an Arbroath fan I find this astonishing. Moffat was your best forward by a long way. He dropped in between the lines and scared the shit out of our defence. I’d have him in our squad tomorrow.

  13. What an absolutely despicable c**t of a human being you are. You pretend to be in favour of an progressive fairer Scotland (as the independence movement claims) yet you support actions like this?

  14. Thanks for the replies. From what you've said, I've reached the conclusion that he is the type of midfielder to take games by the scruff of the neck and singlehandedly save us from relegation. Great to hear.

  15. You realise that “unvaccinated” includes ethnic minorities who are often vaccine hesitant because of inherent mistrust of governments or authorities, often as a result of prior oppression? Cutting sick pay knowing that sounds like a lovely thing to do.

  16. Tuesday. Had that meeting with my MSP today, around 2 hours. Will try post a summary tomorrow, prefer to do tasks like that when I'm being paid at work. As an aside, as someone who often gets incredibly angry looking at the covid stuff (and indeed this thread) I would encourage everyone from the Main Players to the moonhowlers to engage democratically with your MSP on this stuff. Regardless of who they are, as someone who is really struggling with the restrictions continuing, posting of frothing-at-the-mouth paragraphs in this thread actually just makes it worse for me frankly. Get out and speak to the people who represent you - regardless of your views on things - it will make you feel much much better.

  18. If you ever read other posters' contributions rather than seeing them as troublesome punctuation between your pearls of wisdom, you'd know that Moomintroll has openly discussed his struggles with MH. Referring to him/her as a tragic loser isn't really going to help that, is it now? Is honestly not that difficult to stop being a cűnt occasionally. Most posters (even those I disagree vehemently with) seem to manage it. Why don't you give it a go?

  21. Scotland have missed out. Martin Boyle has been our most improved player in the SPFL era - perhaps even in the past 20-30 years. He came to us like Ivan Sproule, with raw pace and blistering acceleration but no end product. Don't remember him? Since his debut, he has improved on every aspect of his game to the extent where he has become invaluable to Hibs. By adding better passing and finishing to his game, he has went from a winger/wing-back to a versatile Jack-Of-All-Trades (Master Of Most). A forward that brings the entire team forward. I won't begrudge Boyle of a move, although it will leave us without our best player in recent seasons. His H**-Hammering Hampden Heroics will always be remembered: the Deady Bears that he ripped apart will forever be etched in my memory. His most memorable moment, apart from his contribution on the pitch will always be his post-final bender in which he racked up records for the amount of days he spent out celebrating with the fans. Like the hair on his beautiful dome He vanished then returned to our Easter Road home If he stays, The Hibees will be thrilled If he leaves, he leaves with our best wishes (And the scalps of the ***s he killed) ©Mon Dieu

  24. I want all restrictions lifted. However, I, like many others who share this view are able to do so without wasting hours and hours a week reading about Covid, trawling through Twitter for people to laugh at, posting Jose Mourinho meme faces like a small child etc. This all began because the xenophobic, immigrant hating SNP made it hard for girlfriend to fly to Poland to see her family so you could get 2 weeks of Tennent's Lager and wanking.

  27. Been a while since I posted so a little update on Archie. He was here for Christmas which we honestly didn't think would happen. Hes going from strength to strength and has had no issues with the daily Chemo dose. Its his birthday on the 11th and he's going to get spoiled rotten again! Being down a leg hasn't bothered him and he's now running up and down the stairs and even jumped back up on the couch which was genuinely heart warming for us. Just got to enjoy him while he's here but keep telling myself he's certainly not cured and still has cancer. Blood test Tuesday to see how his bone marrow etc is doing then a scan in 6 - 8 weeks for what may be really horrible news but needs to he done. Anyway, hope you all had a good Christmas with your four (or three) legged beasties! And while typing this he just threw up on the floor!

  29. Hopefully over the next few weeks we see: - A decent backroom team in place (next week) - Maxwell staying until at least the end of the season. - At least three quality signings - Contract renewals for Reading, Adeloye, Murdoch, and Muirhead. I know Muirhead will be debated but he can play CB and RB competently at this level, as well as CM in a crisis - he is a very good utility player at this level.

  30. I voted for independence in 2014 and will do again. The UK is an outdated and undemocratic union, full of outdated and undemocratic machinations i.e. the monarchy, House of Lords, the fact that NI, Wales and Scotland could vote overwhelmingly in favour for one party and still get the party England votes for. The UK is a laughing stock on the world stage and has been for some time. It's time for Scotland to break away.

  31. I repeat, I find it hard to put into words how embarrassing I find it that the Goodwillie stuff appears to have an element of truth to it. The fact he is even being considered by those at the club is an absolute fucking riddy.

  34. I can't help but think back to ~2018, where the UK Government frontbench were stuck at the bottom of their Brexit barrel, free to be shot at to the SNP's content until they tore themselves apart. Having embarked on her cretinous middle-class love bombing exercise ever since, the FM is now reduced to spending her Saturday nights turning in full-on Gincardine performances on Twitter.

  37. Delighted to see my first ever bearded tit today down the Tay reed beds. I could hear them around me in the reeds but they weren't for coming out into the open for about 3hrs until this male finally appeared. Also had a water rail calling just metres away from me but I couldn't see it for the reeds. Another one to tick off another time.

  38. Said it before but by god what a difference one game makes to peoples opinions on here. Nobody was overly bothered about Dowds leaving in August and now we don't need another striker as prime Drogba is back. We most certainly need another striker. Hopefully Rennie can move a few on in the next few weeks as well as bringing a few in as Wilson & Ompreon are just a waste of a jersey. Very interested to see what happens with Ruth but even if he stays I'd hope to see us sign another striker especially as Rennie fancies the two upfront. He's clearly sticking with the 3-4-1-2 so we need a new right sided centre back and hopefully Dixon's not out for much longer. A centre midfielder is also a priority to keep Hetherington and Miller out the team. Surprised about us looking for a new goalkeeper but Holt Jr may have been punted along with his dad and Mutch may be out for longer than expected. Can't help to have them both training with an experienced keeper like Scott Fox if that rumour does come to fruition. Rennie's system doesn't suit Morrison which is why he's flung him upfront but he'll need to learn quickly if he's going to keep his place in the team as he missed a fair few chances yesterday. Obviously quality over quantity but I don't think 5/6 signings in January is unreasonable especially as some will be loans.

  42. The argument that we shouldn’t sign Goodwillie cos he is a rapist is absolutely fair. The argument that we shouldn’t sign Goodwillie cos we have Anton Dowds is absolutely fucking ludicrous. There’s no doubt Dowds has come back to us a better player but Goodwillie is levels above him. FWIW they’d actually make a very decent partnership.

  43. Anyone who now thinks we don’t need reinforcements up top because of Dowds performance yesterday needs their head looked at. We need another striker in regardless. If Dowds form drops or he gets injured we will be back to square 1. I agree that defence and centre midfield is a priority but I’m sure all three positions will be looked at.
