  1. It's too fcuked up for me, I can't read anymore about it. How the jury managed to sit through that I don't know. 6 years old, nobody loves me. His whole life. It's too much.

  2. This is it, Callum had the option of going for a draw or win and shat the bed. Folk are seeing right through the bullshite, he had the chance to remove a midfielder(my choice personally would be out of Crawford or McPherson, or a defender and go to a 4)and put on another forward thinking player in Viv. Viv and MOH putting balls into Kane and E2, as well as whichever was on the other side at least puts Dundee under some sort of pressure. What we are witnessing is Shitebag management, scared of actually going forward and leaving the odd gap. The odd gap that Liam will mop up anyway. What input does Macca actually have? Never had him down as a shitebag but it now seems like it.

  5. How can you post disingenuous bullshit like this with a straight face? Even if you had a point - which you don't - your comparison to age certifications on films is completely meaningless. The reasons for objections to covid certifications have been posted at length on here by several people and go well beyond the time they happen or the amount of people they host. Age limits on products exist for a number of reasons for the benefit of those restricted, in the case of media because it contains content that children of certain ages aren't emotionally mature enough to understand and process. A concept which has literally nothing to do with any point you're trying to make. For all the talk of moonhowlers vs. bedwetters on this thread, I genuinely don't understand what you get out of this act you're playing here. I thought you were far too old and intelligent to spend as long on it as you have, but every now and then you make a post as dreadful as that which still riles me, so well done if that's what you're going for.

  6. I’m not sure if I’m being wooshed here but the irony of a rangers fan accusing another fanbase of being angry and strange is beyond comprehension.

  7. A quick Google shows it’s standard Baillie fare, designed to get headlines: “Jackie Baillie in tears as she questions Nicola Sturgeon over hotel fire”; “Jackie Baillie breaks down in emotional plea”; “Jackie Baillie fights back tears as she urges sacking…”. Personally, I find it hard to believe that Jackie Baillie has ever been moved emotionally by anything not smothered in ketchup. It’s a swizz.

  8. Victoria Climbie was 21 years ago and baby P was 14 years ago, Brandon Muuir 12 years ago which would suggest that rather rather a steady stream, its an exceptional occurrence. Social Services in England have been absolutely gutted to the point I'm surprised stuff like this doesn't happen more often. Maybe it does. Also worth noting the unholy alliance of groups in Scotland who worked tooth and nail to get the Named Person scheme struck down to score a goal against the government.

  16. Good grief! I am about to publicly agree with a Hibs supporter! Spot on with the bit in bold. The sad thing is, I don't ever expect to see it. I've been hearing the insincere guff about fan behaviour since Barcelona and I'm no more taken in by it now than I was then.

  18. Saturdays game is a pretty big deal for Alloa. We've had a poor points return in our last 2 home games. Saturday might dictate whether we push on up on the table or spend the next stage of the season looking over our shoulder. I thought Stevie Crawford did a reasonably good job last season at Dunfermline. East Fife come into the game off a really bad Cup result, but we could see the dreaded new manager bounce. You'd imagine their players will be up for this. New Bayview is a ground we don't have a great record at- 1 win in the last 8 there, and haven't won there in the last 5 visits. Andy Graham will come in for the suspended Mendy Id imagine, but not too many other enforced changes. Our midfield is loaded with quality but has lacked a bit of cohesion in the last 2 league games. Hopefully the big win last week and the Cup draw has given the team a lift to iron out the creases a bit.

  26. No it's not. I don't know the current figures, but pre-covid there were over a thousand kids playing community football every week with Falkirk strips on. The "Falkirk Family" stuff was a standard marketing slogan, made up I think for a season ticket campaign, but while many didn't like it the players were still visiting local primary schools before every game and going out to Strathcarron Hospice four or five times a year. The club tried hard to do their bit for the community and still do. Foodbank collections and the best Grassroots Award that the Foundation won from the SFA on Sunday evening are further evidence of that. Please don't let the alleged misbehaviour of a few directors tarnish the work that dozens of folk are doing to help the community. Folk whose work clothes have a steeple on their chest.

  28. Have any fans sent abusive texts to family members of the club's directors? Cause if they have they should face a permanent ban from the club and I don't think any reasonable person could disagree with that. Must admit, I'm not aware of this happening. On the other hand, I have seen the abusive message sent from a board member to the family member of a fan he felt was being too critical. Obviously that's perfectly fine.

  29. I handed my notice in yesterday. My department at work restructured last year and centralised the department I work in making several redundancies. It went from 3 people in my department in my office to only me working part time 3 days a week. Over the last year the work has become more stressful, we do not have enough staff to service our clients and I've just started hating it more and more as the weeks pass. I've been working more hours than contracted to, not taking lunch hour and putting my laptop on on my days off. The higher management have taken no accountability for fucking up what was a great department under the company they bought over. So yesterday I resigned. My branch staff are trying to persuade me it will get better. That senior management are having a meeting at the end of the month as no one is happy with my department and what they have done to it but they can't guarantee anything will change so I'm leaving. It's a job I did love and the only thing drawing me to staying is all the benefits. Private health care, income protection, fantastic pension etc. but I've decided that with my health this shouldn't be a motivator for me. I've accepted a new role working within cancer services and start in the New Year.

  44. ‘Jie’ is just an older pronunciation of the letter that is extinct in England but still current in (parts of) Scotland. The Oxford English Dictionary (1st edition) states: "The name of the letter, now jay, was formerly jy, rhyming with I, and corresponding to French ji; this is still common in Scotland and elsewhere." I like it. It’s distinctively Scottish, is rich and satisfying to say, and (evidently) annoys some people, so what’s not to like? I implore to you reject the milquetoast pronunciation ‘jay’ and discover the joys of ‘jie’ See you all in three years for my third P & B post.
