  1. Do you lads know we can still vote for an independent Scotland and still call out the fucking laughable and often misleading statements from the Scottish Government? You are allowed to disagree with them.

  2. Dumbarton scrape past sauchie with 2 goals in injury time and Clyde and east Fife lose to Clydebank and banks of Dee respectively and yet some folk were salivating after we beat the pair of them recently. Sums up the standard of this league too. We're mediocre pish in a really shite league.

  3. I can understand where your coming from. I must be around your age and I never thought I'd be so disenchanted watching Queens. Even when Gus was in charge I tried to get to every game home and away but now it's home games only with the odd close away games. Maybe the interruption of Covid stopping fans from attending took a bit of the appetite away, watching streams just became too easy. We're now living from season to season, having to build new squads every time, players don't have any affinity to the fans or club and the fans haven't time to build an affinity with the players, fighting relegation is now the norm. I understand the Board of Directors have a duty to run the club responsibly, keep spending in check, etc, but there must also be a sign of ambition, a feeling that they are at least trying to build up to something better than just barely surviving as a full time Championship team. Sadly we are just treading water, there's an apparent lethargy right throughout the Club and its now spread to the supporters and who can honestly blame more and more for losing interest.

  4. A staggering lack of self-awareness on show. I've not reared my head on this thread for months because frankly, I've had more important things going on in my life and covid and the associated restrictions and wailings sort of melded into background noise but it's no surprise to see you are still one of the most ill-informed folk on the entire thread and continue to post with a level of self-confidence and certainty that is bordering on parody.

  6. I'm just leaving the park. Going up road for a few shandies. Absolutely made up. just like to say thanks to all associated with Clyde, who were great. Also the folk on here who've been pretty dignified tbh. You just don't know how made up we are, the journey has been long and difficult. All the very best folks.

  7. An exercise in perfect timing this weekend. Took Friday off to leave Forfar at 6am to head west for a Hillwalking piss up in Corran, avoided all the shite weather and other than it being slightly cold and breezy yesterday, had a glorious weekend on the west coast. I'm returning home tomorrow and will be asking my OH what the fucking fuss was as all about

  8. TASC SOCIAL MEDIA MAN OF THE MATCH - RESULT Congratulations to Scott Stewart on winning the TASC Social Media Man of the Match for his performance in the Lichties 3-0 win over Forfar Athletic at a freezing Gayfield yesterday. The winger was a constant threat throughout and a massive part of the comfortable victory that sees our name in the hat for the 4th round draw. Thanks to all who voted

  9. Gary Holt and Gary Deans were in charge of the last recruitment. I wouldn’t trust they p***ks with anything let alone the appointment of a competent football manager. There’s not a chance Gary Holt was going to appoint a manager that was going to cause him any bother or rock the boat. A simpleton yes man was his number 1 priority and it’s what we’ve got.

  10. Why do we need to suggest a better name? Why can’t we just sack our incompetent manager, invite applicants and appoint the best candidate? Never understood this need for fans to suggest someone better.

  11. She does herself no favours with these sorts of comments. Little is known about this variant at the moment and talking of the "need to go further" and "doing anything to keep the population safe" just sounds ridiculous until all the facts are known.

  14. We rode our luck v Elgin, I thought we would be right up against it with Clyde being one tier higher than them, all of the second half I expected the Bully Wee to up their game, thankfully they didn’t. Bottom line is WOSFL could compete at a good level in the SPFL never mind the Lowland League.

  15. Well Banks O'Dee thoroughly deserved the win from that game, pretty much bossing it after the opening half hour. East Fife simply fell apart in the second half and a neutral who didn't know much about either side, would be hard pressed to identify the non-league team. East Fife took the lead after about twelve minutes, a long speculative shot going pretty much straight through the home goalkeeper and into the roof of the net. At that stage an upset looked a remote prospect, really. East Fife looked really comfortable in the first quarter, stroked the ball about nicely, and Banks O'Dee looked as though they might be outclassed. Far from it however. They got on terms just before the half hour when a left wing free-kick was very poorly defended, and headed home for the equaliser from the six yard line. East Fife looked ever more toothless after that. Banks O'Dee were by far the better team after the break, mystifyingly aided by interim manager Frail withdrawing East Fife's only striker around the hour mark. East Fife had simply nothing going forward and increasingly found themsleves bullied off the ball in the middle of the park. Credit also has to go to a group of around 7-10 young guys in their early twenties who engaged in a sustained wind up of the East Fife bench and players (Spain Park has come on a lot since I was last there and the fans are right on top of the dugouts in the new-ish covered terracing- this was all just mud and waste ground last time I was here). They had it in for Fifers right back Dunsmore for reasons I don't understand- but the young boys will claim an "assist" after the hapless Fifer was red-carded for a rash challenge on a home attacker with about twenty minutes to go. I haven't seen such effective professional trolling since the heyday of the Akabusi Loyal. By the end of the match East Fife's physio had delivered at least three death stares and a stand up row had developed with the Fifers' match commentator, who bravely stood his ground nearby. The home team took the lead after a messy struggle in the box from a corner (I think) with about ten minutes or so to go and East Fife looked burst after that. They just couldn't match the junior team's desire, work rate and will to win. That in itself has probably sunk any hopes Stevie Frail had of getting the job on a permanent basis. The player who blocked the gap left by Dunsmore was also red carded late on as the away team suffered a collective "heads gone". I was quite impressed by Banks O'Dee- particularly the wee no. 10 who was a real handful in the game. There's no doubt they would add some to the Highland League even if it seems unlikely they could progress further than that. As for East Fife...ooft. What a shambles. A big appointment is coming up for them (Frail is very clearly not the answer here) and they really need a few new signings in Janaury if they are to have any hope of avoiding the drop. Bullied off the park by a junior team certainly tells a story, and not a happy one. A shame for what was a very healthy travelling support.

  17. Still fucking raging as yesterday, I can deal with defeat but not when the team couldn't be arsed and showed no fight! Fair play to the Bankies. What happened in 2002 was a fucking disgrace and hopefully we never ever see that kind of scumbaggery happen again. Even the lead up to Clydebank eventual demise was horrible, playing games at Greenock because Dumbarton refused to accommodate them. My auld man took me to a random rangers friendly at Old Kilbowie when I was 8 or 9 years old and I was obsessed with the ground. It was dreadful to see what happened after... With the pyramid, the movement between tiers needs opened up more so clubs like Clydebank, Pollok, Auchinleck etc can progress, especially passing the glorified boys clubs like Colts, Broomhill and Braves who somehow are in the 5th tier. It would be great to see the Bankies back in the senior ranks. Hope you guys enjoyed your night, you deserved it on the park, but for what you've been through in the last 25 years, you totally deserved it. All the best guys.

  18. The thing is it really shouldn't be that big a gamble at all for us. We're looking for a manager that can win the league with the biggest side by a mile in the league, the one with comfortably the biggest budget and facilities. He doesn't need to be an over achiever at this stage he just needs to meet the expectations the clubs size and finances produce. It should be a lot harder for the other 9 teams to find a manager to win them the league than us FFS. Our boy doesn't have to do a ranieri with Leicester. It's beyond belief that we can't find someone competent to win us the league given all the advantages they start off.

  19. Montrose and Raith didn't find problems with it. Brian Rice is a ticking bomb waiting to go off for me, that's enough for me to say no thanks as I did when the rumours over him pre season. I can't believe there isn't uproar over our so called football managers opening words in the interview post Raith. "We must get better, maybe we can't" We need this kindergarten manager out like yesterday, the whole interview was an embarrassment to the club.

  22. Remember when we used to have Scottish Cup runs? Remember when we used to get to finals .....not that long ago. But a conveyor belt of incompetent deluded power mad fools who think they know how to run a football club have run us into the ground and we can't even compete with an average Raith Rovers side in a one off cup tie. And at the same time they have destroyed the infrastructure of the club leaving us with no sellable assets in the team for the first time in many years but instead a load of sub standard journeymen no one else wants. Very best of luck to the Patrons & FSS sorting out this complete & utter clusterfuck - the only way is up .......surely.

  23. For easy scanning I've placed in bold the things that are simply untrue. a)You excluded the salient part regrading the 500k model "if no further action" because it inconveniently contradicted what you posted b) while restrictions existed, major parts of the country were not locked down (the conflation of some minimal measures with LOCKDOWN!!!! is a wholly misleading yet typical tactic. and c) "almost exclusively very old" is a gross over simplification. I think you are being too generous, it is a deliberate misrepresentation. Or a lie by omission. Either way it's frankly unforgivable from someone who waves his credentials around like a tiny little dick attached to a drunk fat man dancing in a brothel.

  26. Really struggling with Saints right now. For the first time in over a decade I thought about just watching from the comfort of home rather than going to a home match at McD. I have so little excitement about watching us play. I went in the end and sat back in my seat thoroughly disengaged from it all. The refs’ shiteness and backs against the wall nature of the game probably got the crowd far more invested in what was another turgid performance. We’ll always go through periods of poor results, no issue with that, but the absolute dearth of moments of excitement or chances or decent play or goals to make it worthwhile is soul destroying. You watch football round up shows from whatever level of league and see a brilliant volley or a great dribble and finish, a fine flowing move etc and it brings it home how devoid of entertainment we really are. I honestly can’t think of a time we’ve done any of that for ages. MOH goal v Rangers was well taken, and Crawford’s two goals I guess, but other than that…? Admittedly so many of our attacking players have been in much poorer form than last season; Middleton, Wotherspoon, Rooney and even Kane’s not been quite as good, but there’s nothing on the horizon to improve things. No exciting youth players on the fringe getting appearances from the bench, no star players to return from injury. We’re all just hanging out hats on the hope that come January we’re going to produce a miracle rebuild with 4 talented signings that all hit the ground running. Are we really going to splash out, and even if we do are we able to make the right signings? This season I am a bit concerned with our trajectory, whereas I usually feel we will be fine and turn things around. Hopefully we do so again. But overall, the absolute sapping of enthusiasm within 6 months of our most successful ever season is staggering. The club have taken a bizarre ‘we should be fine’ approach.

  30. I, for one, am delighted that this repellent c**t has trashed his reputation so badly that even the BBC will find it difficult to rehabilitate him when it comes time to parade trained Jocks. He even tweeted, like a 10-year-old, how he can’t understand how actors who play heroes aren’t heroic in real life (or at least not heroic enough to just say no to masks and vaccines). Smashing stuff.

Apparently she's away to visit her elderly mother a week after and wants to reduce the risk. Just go f**k off then. We even just got a negative test result yesterday as we can get them free again here. But apparently its normal to get scared out your wits about something THAT WE DONT HAVE.

  38. A couple of years ago, in conjunction with my late father, I was going to become a Patron in the BTB initiative that didn’t happen. The current Patron “entry level” is now above what we were previously going to pledge. Circumstances change, funds have been redistributed, however I’m still going to make a contribution to the current initiatives. I’ve joined BFL, paid a lump sum to FSS and I’m going to buy some shares for myself ultimately family direct. I wish all involved in these initiatives the best of luck and hope we start going forward from where we are now. Two points that grate on me for those concerned going forward. Ditch “ The Falkirk Family” claptrap, stop referring to this, we are currently the most dysfunctional family in the country. “ Get the club back where we belong at the top table of Scottish Football” Yes very admirable aim, but let’s stop thinking we have a right to be there. Yes it’s where we would like to be and remain in the future, but talk of “where we belong” are currently well misplaced. You firstly have to accept where we are before dreaming of something that could now be years away. Good luck again to all involved, one way or another. Coyb.

  39. Just watched the highlights back there and can’t believe I forgot the absolutely shitebaggery from Ruth from the chance in the 52nd minute that Hetherington put in but was already disallowed. Just watch him. Morrison heads it up in the air then Ruth takes a step towards the ball sees Liam Dick there absolutely shites himself takes a step back then shoves Dick in the back to give away a foul. That’s the most I’ve seen a striker shite himself in the box since Dennon Lewis. He really is absolutely fucking shite.

  40. From my understanding they had to start at the very bottom and work up as they didn't initially have the staff or player numbers to begin at a higher level. I believe they plan to be playing a grade up next year. It is below professional standard, but from the games I'm watching they're scooshing it. Which suggests they have the potential to go higher. I think it's a given that they won't be near FVFA standard yet but at least they've made a promising start. At the moment I think that's all we can ask for. As for honesty, I'm not sure how they're being dishonest. Every game they've played that I know of has been reported on. For example they didn't try to hide the 6-0 gubbing from Aberdeen.
