  1. I oppose vaccine passports on two grounds: 1) They are discriminatory and increased use of them excludes people from society. 2) No evidence they work. Germany was held up as a model in this area and look what happened. If the measure cannot be proven to achieve its objectives, it should not be in place. I am pro-vaccination and was vaccinated as soon as I was able to get my vaccination. However the exclusion of people from parts of society as a result of not being vaccinated isn't acceptable to me. I disagree with their choice but fundamentally they should not be forced to become vaccinated, particularly not against a backdrop of State-sponsored societal exclusion for failing to do so. I'm also increasingly worried about the divisions this is causing, which is starting to feel a bit dehumanising. In essence, some vaccinated people deriding the unvaccinated as nothing other than disease carriers and demanding they be "protected" from encountering them. We have highly successful vaccines that do that - the demands to have the unvaccinated barred from certain settings are a weird form of entitled behaviour that I can't comprehend. Some politicians in Europe are also scapegoating the unvaccinated for lockdown measures and whilst I accept the comments have some merit, the mannerisms of it are starting to feel very much divide/rule and it's not good for society. It's breeding hatred. This isn't the 'my mask protects you' stuff again; the primary purpose of the vaccine is that it protects the recipient. The societal benefit is the secondary benefit as there should be less of it going around. It is also apparent that we are all going to get the virus eventually, vaccinated or not. People should be encouraged to get vaccinated, but should not be forced to, which is ultimately where this is going.

  2. The issue isn’t with the Hub at all, but it has became a focus of all that is wrong with the club just now. As mentioned before, the output from the club has dried up almost completely. The website doesn’t work, b&w tv started with additional output and a free introductory period and appears to have been shelved without any communication. The details of season tickets and strips in the summer had to be dragged out of the club. Even telling people there is no update is better than no update. No Updates on summer signings and the path the club was going to take. the only updates fans got was from you on here. Now, when fan engagement is at an all time low in the social media era, the only tweets are about Honestmen picks and the Hub. Match previews are either absent or don’t have any bearing on who is actually fit and available. Pre and post match interviews are a bawtickling exercise and it looks like the club has put up barriers and everything is a big secret. Apart from, you can spend your money down at the Somerset hub. We can be active on social media and give updates on this and this only. It gives the impression that the Hub is all that anyone is interested in. McCall was criticised when he left for being a fraud and everything was done to make him look good. The club is now doing the reverse of that. The McCall era was a rally to fans, buy season tickets and shirts, invest in the AU500 and we can keep guys like Shankland. If you do your part, we can do better at ours. You want your home shirt for your holidays, no problem. You finish a season on a high, get your season tickets on sale and say you need high numbers to continue the high next season. McLeod was a master at positive PR and spin. Now we have silence and occasional pictures of a building site. If you have a manager willing to engage with fans and build a togetherness, it takes the pressure off of the chairman. A manager giving regular, candid interviews about what is going on, hopes and concerns etc it builds trust and a togetherness. Kerr did it and didn’t come across well. Hopkin and Duffy just haven’t bothered. There is absolutely no personality or character evident in the board, management or playing staff that is likeable and that is largely down to the way the club is presenting its self.

  4. Good news, instead of using someone else's vaccine passport you can just pretend to do a LFT now.

  8. So, I’ve been offline all day and missed the announcement. I know that there will have been a raft of new draconian measures introduced today, as this thread informed me last night that this was guaranteed. I believe they were to be an absolute disgrace, and a total minter. What’s happened?

  9. Genuinely got the rage at that Doncaster reply. It is the job of SPFL staff to determine the fairest outcome in terms of stadium splits and ticket allocations, taking into account all the circumstances. and then completely disregard the fairness aspect and give Celtic or Rangers the biggest share we can get away with. 11. Of course you’re entitled to view these restrictions as you choose, but others feel that unscientific policies which are designed to segregate and divide are worth questioning. The other point of course is that vaccine passports would’ve had a catastrophic impact on pubs and other venues, and impacted an untold amount of jobs as a direct result, for very little gain. Again, that might not be on your list of priorities but scoffing at others for challenging such nonsense isn’t the best look.

  15. Interestingly, a year ago I made a post on this thread that I was against vaccine passports, but I was not an anti vaxxer, I simply stated it didn't sit well with me that a society would exclude those who chose to refuse medical treatment. I was given 13 red dots for it. c***s that you all are

  16. Bloody hell man, it’s not going to be neutral because one side has been allocated substantially more tickets than the other, for a Cup Final. The amount of season tickets holders that any club has, the amount of supporters club buses that any club has, is totally irrelevant. This is not a Celtic home game where season tickets are valid, this is a Cup Final where both sides should have equal representation in the stands. It’s certainly a cliché, but a true one in this case, Celtic fans are an entitled bunch.

  17. That’s the same Hub that fans have been asking for for years , the only owner we have had that is willing to invest in the long term planning of the club , yes we are going through a tough spell but the investment is needed to secure the future of the club , the manager has a very decent playing budget and the Hub profits are to enhance that budget , don’t get the negativity about the Hub ,the Hub is not getting any money from the playing side of the club

  18. Has there been anything more on what's happening with Moffat? If Duffy has frozen him out then we can just sack Duffman now. The fact he didn't even name Moffat on the bench is an aberration. Moffat's legs might not be what they used to but he's got more technical ability than the rest of the squad combined. Everyone else has been given a run in the team other than Moffat. I can understand why he would be frustrated. I'm frustrated for him.

  34. You can buy a day pass for Sky on NowTV for £10. If you have a dodgy box you pay nothing. That’s what you’re up against. Start charging £20 and more people will look for a way of avoiding paying. Keep it reasonable and you get some money in. I’ve a season ticket. I’ve only watched the Inverness home game on Raith TV but if it’s a day when it’s baltic I may take them up again.

  36. Nicola Sturgeon is to announce whether Scotland's vaccine passport system will be expanded to cover more venues. The government has said that widening existing restrictions could be the only alternative to a new lockdown if Covid-19 cases rise during the winter period. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-59373799 They really are a bunch of arseholes.
